“You’re welcome,”
“Do you mind taking me to the factories that Black Hood ravaged?” Liliana said.
Summer looked over at Milena, the child, before looking up at Liliana. “I can take you.” She said as she stood up, glancing at Milena as she finished her second bowl of soup. Liliana smiled and nodded her head. “Let’s leave now.” Liliana nodded and stood up from her chair, her security detail watching her from the shadows and keeping their distance.
“We’re leaving, Milena,” she said. Milena stood up and followed Liliana and Summer as they briskly walked away from the restaurant, leaving a collection of bronze and silver coins on the table.
“I hope that he appears,” Liliana whispered under her breath.

Wick sat on a bar stool in his personal bar. X and Z sat on nearby stools. Wick raised his cigar from his mouth and into the air, hovering it over the counter. A shot glass stood on the right side of Wick, half-filled with a purplish liquid. “Find my son.” He muttered.
“Son?” Z asked while twirling his dagger around in his hands.
“What do y-ya’ want us to do with h-him?” X asked, his speech slightly stammering. His body wavered back and forth. Ten empty shot glasses crowded his side of the counter.
“Transfer all of my current assets to him.”
“Transfer your assets? It sounds like you believe you’ll die.” Z said.
“D-D-Don’t questio-question him!” X shouted. Wick raised his left hand, a signal for X to shut up.
“I know my fair share of martial arts, but Spec has that scythe on him. If I could disarm him, then I might overpower him.”
“You don’t believe that he has any training? He can’t use the scythe out of nowhere with absolutely no training.” Z questioned.
“He might have some training, but it cannot surpass mine. Besides, at the end of this war, one of us will be forsaken by God.”
The finale will arrive soon…

Chapter Twelve "Spec vs. Wick"Spec gripped his scythe as night broke out. He stood up and walked to the front door, gripping the door handle. He hesitated to open the door, instead, whispering to himself. “I could die. I would never see Lin or Matt or Maddie anymore. Wick could track them down and slaughter them. I can’t let that happen.” After twisting the door handle slightly, he turned it completely. He ventured into the night, masked by the shadows. “Wick,” He muttered while gritting his teeth. “God has looked down upon you.”

Spec managed to discover the location of the drug shipment, on one of the five docks in the Slums. He dashed his way towards the abandoned Vibrant Dock, not able to detect X and Z following behind him. He then found himself standing idly on a three-story building overlooking the dock. The roof had two-feet high gates surrounding its perimeter and was leveled. He looked down at the pier and watched for a ship to arrive, a drug shipment for him to steal.
“Why won’t it come?” he whispered after an hour of waiting.
“Cause it ain’t real,” X whispered from behind him. Spec brandished his scythe and turned around within a moment. In front of him stood X and Z, two assassins hiding under their thin solid black clothing.
“Who are you?” Spec shouted while holding his scythe in front of him, prepared to throw a strike if necessary.
“We go by different names, but you can call me ‘X’.”
“I’m ‘Z’.”
“Did Wick hire you? Wait... I’ve heard your voices before!” Spec shouted as he took a step backward from the assassins, five feet from the edge of the roof.
“I hired them,” Wick said, appearing from behind him. Spec spun around and stared at Wick as he slow-clapped his way towards him.
“This was a trap?” Spec asked. Wick nodded his head while smirking. “What now? I know you’re not going to let me go free.”
“Perfect, you understand your situation.” He then motioned towards the assassins. “They won’t interfere, they’re merely here to act as witnesses to an important event in history. The change of the Ruler of the Slums.”
“What do you want from me?” He asked him, tightening his grip on the scythe.
“I want a fair one-on-one. The only condition is that this will be to the death.” He declared.
“To the death? What happens if I don’t accept this duel?” Spec asked while gripping Deathstrike.
“The death of your sister and neighbors. Oh, and every factory worker working in those factories that you’ve raided will be executed in their homes.” Wick threatened him. Spec stood speechless at his threat, his mind being thrown into a frenzy. After some slight hesitation, he raised the scythe and pointed it at Wick.
“I accept your duel.”
X and Z jumped off the roof and climbed another building to watch from afar.
Meanwhile, Wick and Spec stood ten-feet away from each other with their weapons in their hands. Spec wielded Deathstrike---his night-black double-ended scythe---while Wick held a baseball bat with a prototype revolver loaded in his holster. “Any last words?” Wick asked, mocking him. Spec didn’t respond, instead, raising his scythe and dashing towards him, slowly closing the distance. Wick wielded the baseball bat---one-handed---as he made his way towards Spec.
The two then closed the distance and collided, resulting in the beginning strikes. Spec spun his scythe around in circles, using both ends of the scythe to his advantage, and struck Wick’s bat, throwing it off to the side.
Wick quickly swapped over to the revolver loaded in his holster, pointing it at Spec and unloading the moon clip towards him. The bullets flew towards him but were sliced in half by Spec’s scythe. He then got closer to Wick and sliced his shirt to pieces, jerking the revolver out of his grip. He backed away before taking out a knife that hid in his boots and dashed towards Spec. Once close enough, Wick landed blows on his scythe, cutting small chunks off the once-sturdy weapon. Spec stopped spinning his scythe and struck thrice at Wick. Wick dodged the first two blows, but the third one managed to make contact with his forehead, leaving a gash that ran horizontally across. Wick reached into his pocket and pulled out several throwing knives, throwing them at Spec and managing to hit him. The first few throwing knives were blocked by his scythe but managed to chip away at it while the remaining knives cut through Spec’s cloak and under clothes.
Spec then threw his scythe, slicing the air in half as it flew towards Wick. Wick managed to dodge the scythe, allowing it to fall off the rooftop and land on a nearby bush. Noticing that Spec was now disarmed, Wick smirked as he wiped the blood off his forehead wound. “What are you going to do without your precious weapon?”
“Crush your skull in with my bare hands,” muttered Spec as his eye color changed to red, sparking a fire in his eyes. Wick revealed more throwing knives, launching them at Spec. He didn’t dodge the attacks, allowing the knives to rip through his clothes and skin. One of the throwing knives ripped a large scar through Spec’s cloak, cutting it in half. Another throwing knife scratched his left cheek.
Spec wiped the blood off his new wound before tilting his head to stare at Wick. Spec then charged at Wick, dodging throwing knives, and managing to land punches to his stomach. Wick spat out blood before collapsing to the ground; a few organs failing upon impact.
“You hit like a woman,” Wick muttered before being kicked in the gut by Spec. Spec continued punching Wick down, breaking his bones one-by-one. He kicked him in the gut again, throwing him to the side. Now facing the fleeting moon, Wick looked at Spec and smiled an earnest smile. “Before you kill me, let me tell you a tip.” Spec momentarily stopped charging at Wick and allowed him to talk.
“Trust is a very fragile thing. I lost trust with people that used to be close to me because of stupid decisions. I nearly lost my life many times because I lost trust, leading to this current situation.” He then closed his eyes but continued talking. “I see potential in you Spec! So I hope you don’t take the same path of deceit and crime that I took. Now, fulfill your urge.” Spec started punching Wick in the face, bruising his tanned face.
Meanwhile, X and Z decided to take a step towards Wick, but Wick felt their presence, somehow being able to wave them off. Wick smiled as he was being beaten by Spec, pounding his face to pieces. His face was disfigured as Spec continued bashing on him. X and Z turned around---fleeing from the rooftop---leaving Wick and Spec to their affairs. Spec continued punching Wick until his skull was badly dented, caving in after a couple of dozens of punches.
Spec then rose as day broke, light shining behind him. Blood dripped off his face, body, and fists, illuminating in the daylight. Spec took his cloak off his head, allowing his face to breathe in the daylight.
“I won’t take your path.” He muttered, spitting on Wick’s face.
“Who are you?” Liliana shouted from the ground with Summer and Milena by her side. Liliana’s security detail dashed past her and rushed to the top of the roof.
“Hands up!” One of the security guards shouted.
“Get on your knees!” Shouted another security guard. Liliana climbed the ladder and made it to the roof against the security’s wishes with Summer and Milena following behind her. Summer gasped as she remembered seeing Spec before while Milena’s eyes widened as she stared at Wick’s corpse. Summer then shielded her eyes from the corpse. Liliana, on the other hand, walked past her security and up to Spec, ignoring the corpse.
“Are you Black Hood?” She asked, her eyes glittering.
Spec looked down at her. “I… am... Black Hood.”
Hello All!
Thank you for reading season one of Black Hood. This was my favorite series to write for Generation IV and gave me the most excitement to release and follow up on.
For those wondering about the fates of some of the side characters (Xavier, Alicia, X, and Z), the street rats will be spun-off into a short story that continues or possibly ends their story. As for the assassins, they will reappear, either in Black Hood or a different Historia series.
Black Hood has been renewed for four seasons in total, with season two premiering in March 2021 and season three premiering in March 2022. The fourth season will be announced later.
