but the force of the punch knocked off the dangerously slim and weak Grian off the rooftop. Grian dropped his dagger and held onto the ends of the rooftop. Tank chuckled as he watched Grian holding onto the rooftops for dear life. “You had a chance. But you sliced my offer in half. Now you’re about to die.” Tank laughed as his muscles retracted. Tank crouched down and plucked off one finger. The men laughing up a storm. He plucked off another finger. Then another. Grian’s grip loosened, dropping his right hand, dangling in the air aimlessly. “Have you ever heard of the phrase, A titan rises slowly, but falls quickly?” Tank asked. The men around him sneered and joked at Grian’s expense. “Guess that phrase was about you.” Tank plucked all five fingers of his left hand, dropping him. Jim Harold bypassed the checkpoint as he looked for a suitable candidate. Unfortunately, the operation was too dangerous for a downtown Aztecian citizen to handle. Only those who have experienced death can handle fusion. He went door to door, searching for a candidate, with a gun in his pocket until a scream was emitted two blocks from him pierced his eardrums. He rushed towards the scream.

Two fox demi-humans were kept in a basement of a member of Flame’s gang. They looked towards the night sky with hope, but they understood the harsh truth. They will never get it. No matter how hard they try, they will never be freed and get to live a peaceful life. Edge, one of the fox demi-humans, heard a scream coming from a couple of houses down. He woke up his sister, Serina. “What is it?” She asked.

“I heard screaming,” He whispered. Other slaves rested next to them in the small quarters.

“It happens every day. Please, go to sleep.” Serina told him.

“I know, but…” his voice trailed off. He looked up at the night sky. He watched as the stars traveled across the sky. “If only I could do something about it.”

Grian’s gray soul floated in the abyss, chained to a three feet circumference. The empty constraint room held the soul trapped within the abyss. A streak of red and blue pierced through the abyss and swirled around Grian’s gray soul. The colors didn’t mix, instead, layering on top of each other. The chains that restricted the soul were torn off and the room was broken through. The soul escaped the room and ventured into the darkness, illuminating its way through the abyss. The soul ventured into the big pond of the abyss, slowly increasing in size as the colors increased and glittered off the slight light.
