got to my father’s house an hour ago and my mom don’t have to be at the dinner for another hour or so. I am actually hungry for something sweet can you take me to burger king, we can sit and talk for a while.”
He smiled over and her and nodded his head yes. She loved Jake. They have only been together since 8th grade and they were in 10th grade now. . He bought her things all the time, he never hit her, and he has been there every time she has needed him. She hoped Jake did better with his family then her father did with his.
“I was thinking, we need to start buying things for the babies soon, I think start with the basics, white bassinet and swing. Of course we can get diapers right along with onesies. What do you think?” she asked before they walked up to the counter.
The young looking man with zits on his face said,” how can I help you?”
“I would like two chocolate Hersey pies and a strawberry milk shake, medium.
She grabbed the shake and Jake grabbed the two pies shaking his head as he did so. They walked to the back of the restaurant and sat down on opposite sides of the table. Jake looked at her and said,” I am not saying I don’t want to do this; I want you to understand that. But do you think that it is the best time for us to be having a baby?” he asked under his breath.
She stopped opening the pie container and looked him in his eyes, “What do you mean by that Jake?” she asked him.
“I am just saying you are only two maybe three months a long and you r talking about buying baby things already. We don’t know what were doing so should we really have this baby right now? We could always give the child up for adoption.”
Tara stood up, pushing her food towards Jake, not caring where the food landed. She was tired of hearing about how young they are to be doing this, what was wrong with her that she would make such a bad mother? She did not want this for her life but what could she do about it now? It was her responsibility to take care of her child since she had lain down and made the baby. If she would have been younger she would not be thinking of keeping her baby, but she would be 17 years old right after the baby is born so she would be able to do it, and she wanted to have her baby.
“I will walk home from here. I think we should talk later because I am so upset with you right now. I just need time to think about everything, you know you could have walked away a long time ago or at least said how you felt when I first got pregnant.”
She walked out of burger king and headed down the back roads to her house. She knew she would be working for good thirty-minutes before she made it but she didn’t care, she wanted to get away from Jake. She didn’t know what was going on, she thought she knew him and they both wanted this baby. She was wrong.
Finally making it home after having walked uphill the last mile, she sure was glad to see her one story white house. She didn’t have the picket fence with a father and a dog but it was home. She saw that her mother was just getting ready to go to work when she walked into the yard.
“Honey what is the matter? Why are you walking home and with your father?” her mother Lana asked her worried.
“Mom it was so horrible and by the time it was all over with, I learned Stephanie is having a baby also. He started to run his mouth or and he smacked me. He is not going to be in my life or my Childs life after today.”
She started crying and dry heaving from being so upset at her father. It felt like he walked out of her life all over again, well in a sense he did. He had destroyed her heart and soul. When it comes to her father she didn’t care what he did or thought any more.
“Mom I am just going to go inside and take a warm bath and then I think I am going to take a nap. I have been so tired lately. I don’t have any energy all I want to do is sleep and I get sick every morning and sometimes in the afternoon and it sucks. It gives me headaches and I feel dizzy. I hate being pregnant. I feel like I am out of control.”
She walked into the house closing the behind her making sure not to slam it or else her mother would come in yelling, and she would not go to work because she would feel like she needed to watcher daughter, and then she would feel bad for making her mom miss work and money. She climbed the stairs that were right in front of the door, she walked slowly like she walking to her to grave. She finally made up the stairs and walked into the bathroom. She didn’t know if she even wanted a bath anymore, she was drained and need to lie down so that her head would stop spinning.
She didn’t know how teenagers or adult woman dealt with being pregnant, she cried all the time, she was moody, she felt like she was being stretched left and right, and she wanted to crawl in her bed and not come back out until she had the baby.
She sat on the edge of her bed and texted her Jamie, she at least would talk to here and there. Jamie kept telling her she was going to come see her but she never did show up. She told her about the whole day she just had with her dad and Jake. The text that she got back did surprise her she will not lie about that, she gasped for air, and dropped her phone on the floor. She bent down snatching her phone from the floor so she could read the message again,
“Jake has been seeing someone else for months now and she is pregnant by Jake. This other girl is six months pregnant and they are supposed to be moving into a house when the baby is born, she will be 18 by then.”
Tara was sick; she jumped up from her bed and ran into the bathroom, throwing her insides out. She didn’t know how she missed that one, her father was a cheat and she swore she would never let a boy play her like that. Guess she was wrong about things in her life that she thought she could always count on. She rinsed her mouth out from the tap water in the bathroom; she wiped her eyes, and walked back into her room lying down on her bed. She rubbed her belly, already feeling a bump there.
When she felt that bump on her stomach she busted out crying a river, she was not handling this as well as she thought she was going to be able to . She is smart and she could take care of her child, but right now she felt like giving up and doing as everyone suggested and give the baby up for adoption. Could she really do it?
She slid her butt backwards on her bed so she could pull back her black comforter and lay on her red sheets. She loved this bedding, it was soft and her red her blended so well with it. Before turning her fan on and drifting off to sleeps thinking that she needed her mother to braid her hair down her back, the fan made her hair feel like something was crawling over her face.

Becoming Friends With Jamie Again

Tara heard her cell phone going off in the back ground that is what woke her from her nap, she looked at the time on her alarm clock next to her bed and saw it was almost 7 pm, she looked at her cell phone and seen her mother called three times. She better call her back first before she flips out and thinks something horrible to her.
“Hi mom, I just woke up dang. What is wrong with you tonight, I am fine I just woke up. I am going to eat now, yea thanks for reminding me. Love you to, bye.”
She blew out breath and rolled her eyes. She vowed she would never be a mother that acted like a spaz. She knew how to get up and eat like a big girl and have clean clothes for school, which will be a new school. The news of her pregnancy traveled fast so the principal called her mother and asked if she would find Tara a new school.
Tara knew where the school was, she had heard of it of course. Though she never had to go there not even to pick someone up, the school was for pregnant teen mothers that wanted to finish school. The school is made up of four different trailers that were shaped in a C like pattern. That way every grade had a chance to finish school if they choice to while they were pregnant and the first six months of their child’s life. That was actually a good deal that is why Tara accepted going to that school.
She didn’t want to drop out of school because she got pregnant, after the baby is born she would continue her education, taking her child with her to school, and she would be done with school before her child turned six months old. That was plus for her because she didn’t have to go back to regular high school.
She sat in the brown kitchen chairs her mother bought to match the rectangular table, she even made cushions for the seats so they were more comfortable. She loved sitting in them chairs and remembering all the talks she had with her mother. She made herself a breakfast bowl, which consists of eggs, cheese, sausage, and potatoes. She just had to stick it in the microwave. That was a good meal for her; she didn’t eat a whole lot any ways.
She had a habit of pushing her red hair behind her ears, leaning back where ever she was sitting, and rub her stomach. She knew she was young but since the deed was done Tara wanted to hold her baby. She had been thinking of names as she ate and she walked into the living room and sat on the couch to watch TV and think at the same time.
Their living room had the couch, normal size TV since no one was ever home, and there was a computer desk in the corner with a computer hooked through it. Tara left her laptop on the
