Chapter: 3
In India, the day starts for house wives by 0500hrs, and till 1100hrs they all are ever busy in attending to their routine duties in their homes, like preparing their children, sending them to schools; and giving send off to their hubbies while the latter are going for their offices.
Mr. Gentleman was a unique name perhaps adopted by his parents, but he was certainly an Indian and one of the ten billionaires in the world. He was the Chairman and MD of GM. Group of Companies. Mrs. Bharathi was his wife.
Mr. Gentleman was the first person to leave their villa exactly by 1000hrs for attending his duties in his corporate office.
And the house wives in India, by and large have some leisure and time at their disposal only after they are freed by their daily routine of attending their hubbies and children.
And the women in general anywhere in the world in the modern days are cautious of their health and physic. In their leisure, some choose to go to gyms, some to swimming pools, some to health clubs and beauty parlours; and all most all of them are keen to keep them fit, some to reduce their obesity, maintain their body shapes and to keep their figure beautiful.
In India too, some of the aristocratic women preferred to go to clubs to play games; and their choices included: playing cards, caroms, chess; and some preferred to go to Mahilamandals (women’s Associations)
Mrs. Bharathi, a married women and mother of three children, but looking like as if she was in her thirties, went to women’s club.
It was not a surprise to know that Mrs. Bharathi was fifty plus and had two sons and a daughter, who were all married and alleviated her to the position of the grandmother. Her daughter Mrs. Sobha was on her way to a gym. Her youngest son Mr.Laxman and her son in law Mr. Rahul were on their way to race courses.
Her two daughters in law Mrs. Ritu and Mrs. Priya were on their way to beauty parlour.
Her eldest son Mr. Ram was taken by the regular car driver to physiotherapist as he recovered recently from mild facial paralysis.
This in brief was simply the beginning of the story of one of the billionaires’ family in India.
Chapter: 4
There was valet parking at the Gentleman towers.
One girl aged about 24yrs, appears to be a top model got down from her Mercedes Benz car and threw the keys to the boy. It was not arrogance. It may be to exhibit her social status and style along with her smartness to the public. Perhaps she might be feeling that she was the best among the celebrities of the day.
And few other girls aged between 24yrs and 26yrs also got down from their vehicles, but their drivers took the vehicles and kept them in the parking lot.
One lady, clad in cream colour sari in a typical south Indian style, came by a scooter and joined the other competitors, who were all aspiring for the post of lady secretary.
There were six lifts available at the towers; and they all went as groups by different lifts. They all reached the 12th floor by 1000hrs, an hour in advance.
Everybody knows the fact that great fortunes and many happy movements with ill minds would go ill together; and such people are really the builders of the great Business Empires in the world. And there are ample examples in history to quote and to read about the fate of such great Business Empires.
It was exactly 1045hrs. One of the richest cars of the world as on the day, which was imported from abroad, was straight driven to 12th floor of the Gentleman Towers. The doors of the car were opened automatically like flying wings of the swan.
Mr. Gentleman got down his car. He was in dark grey colour suit, with an ash coloured shirt and a red striped peacock coloured necktie; and he simply walked through a big hall. The hall was having multiple numbers of cabins partitioned with transparent white glasses, where all his ministerial staff was attending their jobs.
While passing through, Mr. Gentleman peeped through his colour glasses all the surroundings and premises in his office.
All the employers got up and wished him; and so also the women in various styles, who came to attend the scheduled interview, who sat in the hall also got up and observed him curiously, but they didn’t know that he was the chairman and MD of the GM. Group of Companies; and whom they had to face in the interview.
The Chairman and MD straight walked into his chambers.
Later they came to know from the attendant that he was the man whom they have to face in their interview.
They came for interview one hour in advance for the post of lady personal secretary to the MD. Some crazy aspirants came even two hours in advance.
And it was exactly by 1048 hrs, one of the aspirants, who was clad in peacock colour pant, light sky colour shirt in tuck up, with a neck tie and with a matching colour blazer over it, got down the latest imported motor bike, removed her helmet, parked the vehicle and came to the lift. But to her dismay all the six lifts were not working. It was not due to power cut, and of course there was generator also. But they were also not operating.
She simply looked her wrist watch. It was showing 12 minutes to 1100 hrs and she never wished to enquire and lose any more time; but finally she decided to face the challenge.
Chapter: 5
Most of the writers and novelists in almost all the countries experiment with the lives of the poor, the middle class, the upper middle class, the neo-rich, the rich, the millionaire, the billionaire, and the blend of any of them, but not exclusively the real stories of the billionaires, because the majority of the readers and writers could not break open the place gates of the billionaires; and they hardly know their lives or at least try to learn or experiment with the lives of their family members, because of the iron curtains protecting them ever since the emergence of the billionaire families in the modern world.
But on the contrary, in Indian society by and large there are two sections of people who are having some exceptions, but not all times and certainly not throughout the length and breadth of India, but here and there to the scrutiny of caste, creed, religion, culture, social norms, customs and traditions. They include some of the poorest of the poor, the nomads, the aborigines and few of the so called billionaires in modern times.
But it couldn’t be a pool proof that all the families in such sections of populace in the world are alike. And the middle class in India is the one and the only group, which appears to be more sensitive and are always governed by caste, creed, cult and religion, besides customs and traditions.
Anybody who dares to pen the stories revolving round customs and traditions of the people of the region generally will not cross the boarders and barriers of the countries.
But the story of any billionaire family anywhere in the world at any time has no barriers and boundaries because such stories are generally universal and mean the same for the international readers; and the writers of such stories may have to bear either beautiful appreciations or bitter criticisms besides threat to their lives.
One such story is ‘I am not a Gentleman’. The writer, who ventures to scribe this story, certainly has no reservations in his mind or fear of being threatened or any attempt on his life. So let us read more........
