Still Zoe's View-

I woke in a pile of comfy leaves, in cave somewhere I had never been before but felt safe and secure in its embrace. As I regained my thoughts I realized that the cave was lit up by crystals littered all over the place, the sound of running water greeted me as my ears adjusted. With my brain finally working properly I pushed myself onto my feet, still a bit shaken by what had just happened. The sight that greeted me took my breath away. It was the calmest and peaceful place I had been. There was a waterfall running down the side of the cave, pouring into a crystal blue lake, which supported life to the animals and plants around me. The crystal lights reflected the water all across the room creating by a sort of peaceful watery glow to everything. Just I had almost finished my 360 of the cave I heard a massive splash from the crystal blue lake behind me. I turned around to see a boy with blond hair sticking out of the water, just as he started walking out of the lake. For the first time since I had met him I finally got a proper look at him. He had blonde hair with the tips of the hair dark orange, stormy grey eyes and an impish sort of face. As he walked out of the water I realized he was still his board shorts but this time without his singlet and sandals on. I was stunned to see a slim slightly ripped body. "Ow good you’re awake, it usually takes people another day to come around" the boy exclaimed casually as he walked over to me.

"I'm guessing you’re going to have a lot of questions you want answered so give me a second to get myself something to drink out of.” He paused to think before continuing with “and I’m guessing you want a drink as well.

I tried to say yes but all that came out of me was a dry croak. He smiled "don’t push yourself to hard, the effects of the stone are still wearing off so don’t try to do anything for the next hour of so." As he said this warning I realized he was right, just standing still made me want to hurl and a wave of dizziness blew over me. Luckily seeing me nearly ready to collapse he picked me up in his arms and softly carried me to a secret cave behind the waterfall, all the while singing a soothing song that lessened my pain. He put me in a bed and promised to answer my questions later as soon as I had gotten some more rest, but I didn’t even hear the last part as I was already asleep.

When I next woke up my vision was a little bit cloudy but I had regained movement in all my body parts, albeit they were a bit stiff. I slowly raised my head off the pillow and looked around the small cave that had hosted my recovery. It was a quaint little place with a cooking fire off to one side in a little enclave, there was also a bead door leading to another room. What caught my attention the most was a table in the middle of the room, on top of the table I saw a small dinner of some fish and vegetable soup and some bread on a side plate. I realized with a start that it was the delicious foods smell that had disturbed my sleep. I slowly crawled out of the cozy bed and using the cave walls as support made my way over to the meal that had been set aside for me.

As I sat down in the soft wooden and leather chair I realized that I had lost track of time whilst I was asleep, I wondered if my friends had realized what had happened to me. That brought a long needed smile to my face, the thought of Lucy or April thinking this crazy adventure up.

"What are you smirking about" said a voice coming from behind me, I turn around to see the boy who had taken care of me siting in a chair against the far wall (the chair was placed in a place that couldn’t be seen from the bedroom).

"Ow nothing" I reply. The boy stands up and brings the chair across to the other side of the table.

"So now that you’re awake and not falling over or feeling like you’re going to puke" He gave me a look of sympathy "we should probably get into what this is all about."

He looks at me as if there was anything I really wanted to know off the bat.

"Ok Mr. Know-it-all I want to know your name, why I’m here, how I’m here and how magic came to be."

"well little miss questions; my name is Daniel or Danny for short, your here because you saw something you were never meant to see, I used a warp stone to transport us into a half-world called Enthrall Earth and the last question will take me some time to answer."

Still a little surprised he could think of all of that and still have the order of my questions, but not to be beat I said with a huff " It doesn’t look like I’m going anywhere for a while so why don’t you start."

I was about to continue our verbal war when my stomach made its complaint of sensing food but I wasn`t eating. "You have been under for two days and I tried to force feed you but you weren’t having any of it. Eat while I talk, you can ask questions but please don’t starve yourself."

Chapter 3: -- A Long Time Ago --

Sixteen years ago there was a solar eclipse that instead of reliving the suns secrets reviled something much more serious. It was said that anyone who looked upon the sun at that time saw different images; they saw desert lush forests, mountains and other images. So from that day on people start appearing everywhere around the world, people with powers that no-one had ever even thought of before. Now being in contact with these people also will increase the chance that your magic would appear. The human race realizing that some of the people who had gotten powers weren’t that well..." he paused "that sane. “So the unpowered humans decided that, to keep the peace the powered people would be 'executed' if they didn’t follow rules that had being set in place by the normal humans." He paused as he let me take this in, "so what I’m saying is that the people who were running towards us were these law enforcers. Now normally they wouldn’t dare attack you but..." as if deciding whether or not to tell me something, making his decision he said "you kind of might have magical powers inside you because you saw magic. It increases the chance that your powers will arrive."

He was about to continue but I started talking " so what your telling me is that I will have these super magical powers like turning into a wolf or something like that?"

"Well not always" he replied “but it is very likely" he seemed like he wasn't telling me the whole story. "Anyway the thing is you can join these people if you want to but I wouldn’t recommend it, it’s like being a dog on a leash with no freedom." He stared off into a wall as if remembering all too well what that was like.

We continued talking into the night, me asking questions about the worlds how things were created and just magical things in general. I was extremely interested in the idea of getting a magical power, maybe invisibility, or super speed, I didn't know but I was very excited about it.

After talking for a bit more an opening came across for question which I had been pondering for some time just as he remarked that "it was getting late and we should probably rest because we would be moving out tomorrow morning."

"Ok I have two more questions than I will go to bed" I comprised.

"Question One where is James if that’s his real name and two why did he choose me?" Just as I finished asking him these questions his eyes dropped from mine, for some reason he wouldn’t look at me.

"Well" he started slowly "James, yes that is his real name is currently hunting in a forest near this cave and well... for the reason he chose you is well.." he paused " Wolfs are very loyal animals but they need to mate to reproduce like any animals so yea." he finished as he finally looked me straight into my eyes.

Thankfully the darkness covered my reddening face. "Ok I think we should go to bed now, it’s late" he stated as he stood up and walked out of the cave.

I didn’t argue, I was embarrassed about his last answer so I went to bed trying to forget what I had just learned, unfortunately for me my dreams didn’t want to let me forget that little bit of information I had learned.

Chapter 4: Real explanations

Danny's perspective

Later that night when I knew that Zoe had gone to sleep I crept out of my improvised bed, Paradise Cove was meant as a healing station. This station was built so that patient could heal without the trouble of the outside world. Sadly there was only one bed so the doctor got the bad end of the deal. As I walked quietly past the bedroom where the new girl, Zoe was sleeping. Man she posed some really embarrassing questions. Anyway I need to get to James; he had some things to straighten out.

As I walked out of the cave I watched as the cave which usually had activity moving everywhere from the fish in the lake to the animals trotting around was silent unless you included the firefly’s which were flying everywhere, illuminating the cavern. Down by the water, near the spot I had put Zoe so she could breathe in the healing aroma created by the healing lake and the forests scent, was a small compact wooden shack built. From my position near the mouth of the cave I could see that there was a dwindling light coming from inside the shack.

I slowly made my way down the rocks, partly not to make any noise that could wake up our very own sleeping beauty and partly because I didn’t want to wake any of the animals that needed there
