Episode Four "Spirit Slayer (3)"

Grey never returned home, darkness covering the sky overhead. Trent peeked his head outside of the window of the Spirit Slayer building. He looked into the darkness and called out Grey’s name to no effect. He let out a sigh before turning towards the other slayers. “Something’s off,” Trent muttered.

“No, duh,” Alishia remarked

“We should send someone to check on him. He has that inside of him.” Dante noted. Trent nodded his head, pacing back and forth in front of the door.

“He’s right. We must be careful or else Grey will die.” Trent said, the atmosphere slowly darkening. The group stood idly and in silence. Nobody had the will to say anything, the thick and dark atmosphere near-suffocating. Layla held her talisman close to her chest, praying under her breath. Trent grabbed his coat and his collection of talisman. Aleshia and Dante allowed the silence to cover them from head to toe. “Layla! Follow me, we’re going to that woman’s house and find Grey.” Trent ordered, a hint of anger resting in his eyes. Layla nodded and put her coat on, leaving alongside Trent.

They made it to the woman’s house and knocked three times on the door. After the third knock, the door flung open to reveal the woman from earlier, dressed in her polka dots pajamas. “What do you want?” She asked, her tone slightly pissing Trent off.

“The exorcist we sent to your house never returned,” Trent told her. Eva jerked her head and scrunched her face.

“That boy was talking to a spirit inside of my house about something happening in an alleyway. I can’t remember the exact details, but he left my house and followed that spirit.” Eva said. She then slowly closed the door, but Trent drove his foot into a gap to stop the door’s momentum. “I already told you what I know,” Eva shouted.

“That’s not good enough,” Trent said, his temper getting to him. Layla rested her hand on his shoulder, getting his attention.

“Leave it, let's go find him.” She told him. Trent turned towards Eva and let out a sigh. He removed his foot and Eva slammed the door in their face. “Let’s go,” She repeated. Trent nodded. Knowing that Grey, foolishly, followed a spirit to an alleyway is suspicious in every way known, thought Trent. He followed Layla as they decided to investigate the slum alleyways. “How do you think we’ll find him?” Layla asked, the pace of her breathing growing rapidly.

“We’ll find him… alive.” declared Trent. Layla nodded and shook off her anxious feelings. They continued through the alleyways, eventually, finding Grey unconscious on the dirty concrete ground. Trent dashed over to pick him up. “Grey! Grey! Grey!” He shouted. People who passed by shielded their faces and quickened their pace to avoid the terrible scene. Layla shielded her eyes and looked away from Grey. Trent took out two fingers and checked his pulse. Trent then started laughing hysterically.

“Trent! How is he?” Layla shouted.

Trent looked at her, a hint of delight in his eyes. “He’s still alive!” He exclaimed.

Aleshia and Dante sat at the same table, sitting across from each other. Dante intertwined his fingers and rested them upon the table. Aleshia rested her hands on her lap. They sat in silence, an uncanny amount of silence, then Dante decided to break it. “My question to you is… why?” He asked.

“What do you-” Aleshia started before she was interrupted by Dante unraveling his fingers and pounding on the table.

“I know you’re from Division 7!” He shouted, standing up from the table. Aleshia flinched. “You came here to… observe us!” He exclaimed, spitting on the table. Aleshia nodded, her expression blank.

“What are you going to do?” She asked, looking directly into Dante’s face. His cheeks grew red to the sudden fit of anger. “Now that you know about my origins?”

Dante sat down and intertwined his fingers again. “I’ll leave it to Trent to decide.” Aleshia nodded, a dagger being unsheathed under the table. The dagger traced with poison came out of its sheath and prepared itself. A knock from the front door took the attention away from the room.

Episode Five "Division 7"

Dante motioned for Aleshia to open the door, which she reluctantly did. She went up to the front door and opened it, revealing Trent and Layla carrying Grey’s unconscious body. Trent pushed past her and towards Grey’s bedroom. He went up to the second floor and laid Grey’s body on his bed. He then surrounded him with talismans in a circular shape. Layla stood next to Trent, worried about Grey’s health, while the others followed suit. “What’s wrong with him?” Aleshia asked while Dante glared daggers towards her.

“Ravage is taking over!” Trent shouted.

“Ravage? Didn’t he have him under control?” Aleshia asked. Trent nodded his head.

“He lost control of Ravage. I don’t know how.” Trent said. Layla nodded her head softly as she thought about Eve’s words.

“Didn’t the client say that something happened in the alleyway that Grey was in?” Layla spoke up. Trent, who was fidgety, turned towards Layla and nodded his head frantically.

“You’re right! Go to that alleyway and see what happened there! Dante! Go with Layla! Aleshia! Go to the church and demand for Holy Priests!” Trent ordered. Everybody nodded and dispersed from Grey’s room. Aleshia headed to the Holy Church in town while the others rushed towards the alleyway. Trent remained behind to watch over Grey, who was developing a raging fever. He then plunged his hand into his back pocket and took out a picture of his wife, a redhead beauty in a pink floral dress with an hourglass figure. “I can’t lose another person to this.” He muttered.

Aleshia dragged two Holy Priests to Grey’s bedroom to set up a barrier. They used small candle-like crystals that emitted a blue light horizontally and, when attached, created a barrier that cut off Grey’s bed from the rest of his bedroom. The first priest, an elderly man wearing a black vestment, named Priest Marshall read from the bible while the second priest, a younger girl in her late teens, named Priestess Tori stood by his side and watched over him. Trent waited patiently until Marshall finished reading a passage from his bible before throwing a flurry of questions at him. “How is he? Will he be okay? He won’t die, right? Is Ravage taking over? Is he destroying his body?”

Marshall motioned for him to calm down. “Your friend is in a dangerous phase right now. Currently, the spirit within his body is attempting to take control while his body is rejecting him. It’s unknown how much time he has remaining before the spirit takes full control of him, but the average is a couple of hours.” He said.

“What rank is the patient?” Tori asked.

“He’s at the Rookie rank,” Trent stated. Tori shook her head softly.

“He won’t survive long.” She whispered. Trent glared at her before turning away from her.

“I apologize if she offended you, but she tells the truth. An exorcist at a Rookie rank won’t survive this for long. I’m afraid that he’s at the end of his limit. Soon he’ll lose his body and become a demon.” Marshall said.

“Is there any way we can save him?” Aleshia asked. Marshall was about to respond with “no”, but a lightbulb went off in his brain. He motioned for Tori to take out her bag, which she did and revealed a torn instruction book.

“This book is one of the elders. The information might be inaccurate, but is the only information available.” Marshall said before handing the torn book to Trent. Trent grabbed the book and flipped to a page where a bookmark laid.

Trent began reading from the page. “The only way of saving someone who’s affected by an evil spirit is through the blood or blood pact between the patient and an elder from Division 7. Division 7’s elders are wary of newcomers, so only a member who originated from that division will be granted the chance of entering the elder’s home, known as the Keep. An ounce of blood is enough to exorcist the spirit and prevent a complete takeover.” Trent then looked at the following page which had bold letterings. “Warning! Do not attack the elders! Division 7’s elite force, known as the Seven Warriors, will assassinate you before you can flee to the other divisions. Anybody who doesn’t originate in Division 7 that attempts to contact the elders will be assassinated. Do not go here unless a Division 7 member is with you.” Trent looked up from the book and at the priest.

“Finding a Division 7 member will be difficult, but not impossible,” Marshall said.

Tori looked over at Aleshia, who trembled slightly. “Incorrect,” She whispered. Aleshia looked up at her and froze. “It seems that you made contact with one recently.”

“Recently? The only person that I’ve met recently is the woman that Grey ran into. She must be from Division 7!” Trent shouted. He then turned towards the door and was about to run towards Eva’s house when he was stopped by Aleshia. She put her hand on his shoulder and looked him in the eye. “What’s wrong Aleshia? This is not the time. We should be finding that woman, so we can cure Grey.”

“Trent!” She shouted. Trent closed his mouth but opened his ears. “I’m from Division 7!” She declared. “I’m a spy!”

Episode Six "The Keep"

Aleshia led the rest of the Spirit Slayers and priests to the border of Division 7. They crossed over Divisions 4 and 5’s extreme weather. Trent, Layla, and Dante were amazed by the sights of the different divisions. Aside from Aleshia, all of the Spirit Slayers originated in the town of Viriks, a small town in Division 1, and hadn’t left their hometown before. Aleshia, however, has ventured throughout the seven divisions and encountered the beautiful sceneries of each. Besides that, she has witnessed the horrors
