hand shot out, and the arrow hit her chest. when it did it turned to dust. "very good!" arturo said. "thanks." she said. "be alrert. what if i didn't save you?" i said. "I'd be dead." she said. "exactly." i said, turning back to my teacher. i was taught to use my powers and to use my chosen weapon, which was the bow and arrow. i learned to put a poison mist at the tip. vampires do not have extra gifts, unless a empress, or someone that is working with dark magic gives them a gift. they can only have one gift, and i gave my friends health. "are your ready to go to Ghostly stone?" astra asked. "how come we feel a pull to ember?" landen asked. "beuase you where chosen to fight by her side, no matter what. your her, fortri, witch means protctors, your put together by a bond that can only be severed by death. anymore questions?" asrta said. rosealind grabbed my hand. "to come and go is what i ask of you." astra said, holding out her hand. a lighted door way glowed infront of us. she walked through. i followed grabbing landens hand, to pull them through. kayden grabbed rosealinds hand and we all walked through. all the trees where dead, the floor was a grey dust, and the sky was a grey angry color, that had lightning strike through it everynow and then. "welcome to ghostly stone." astra said, voice heavy with regret. i dropped their hands and followed astra faithfully. they fell into line behind me. "this land used to be green and full of life until doron took over." astra was saying. i heard a hissing noise. "get behind me!" astra yelled. a girl with silver skin and red eyes came from the trees. "astra. bringing children into this mess." she hissed. "i'm not a child." i said, standing next to astra. the girl, bent at the knees, and jerked back as if i'd shocked her. "empress i beg of your, mercy." she said, with a flick of her tail. "i give you nothing! this is not your place to be!" i yelled. it came like a sixth scence, to be in charge. " you have crossed your king!" i said. "but the next in line, has taken over, i am only doing what i'm told to do." she said. " even if it is the wrong thing? get out of my face!" i yelled. she scurried through the trees on all fours. "how'd she know who i was? why'd she act as if i was a ruler?" i asked. "she knew who you where cause, all empresses have the same hair and eyes. when a empress is born she becomes queen and has more power over everyone, even king." she said. "now that your here, people should start falling behind you, but if my brother finds out the mind controll spell, he can use it and you'll have to fight your own people. he could make them atack us, and make you fall to his power. he'll promise you everything." she said. "how do we know when he's coming?" kayden asked, clutching the sword at his side. "we won't, ember will have to watch the future, and he may find out the spell to make her blind." she said. "so we have to fight now, when they aren't ready." rosealind said. i took in a deep breath. i had a vison of them moving in on us, and they where doing it soon. i let the breath out. "when do we fight empress?" astra asked. "it must begin now, they're coming, they don't know i'm here yet, so thats, a plus. do you have a map of ghosly stone, if we can meet them it will catch them off gaurd." i said. "good idea empress. follow me." she said, leading the way up the stone walk way to a castle like building. we followed her down a dark hallway light by tourches. she pushed open a door, and we all went in she went to a shelf, and we shut the door. botles of posions where all over the place. "here!" she said. the put the map on an old talbe and smoothed it with her hands. "do you remember anything from your vison?" i scaned the map. here, i said, pointing to a clearing. "this. is there anything that can slow them down?" i asked. she frowned at the map. "nothing's coming to me." she said. "damn." i said, running a hand through my hair. "wait, when growing up doron hated snow, he always, was inside durning the winter, maybe that can help." she said. "can your people fight in snow?" i asked. "yes, you?" she said. "we're from washington." i said. she nodded. "okay, so they inter from here, so we want to inter from here. i'll make it snow, and we might have the uper hand, how knows. i sure as hell don't." i said, with a shrug. "do we have numbers?" rosealind asked. "i don't know." astra said. "can you see there numbers?" landen asked. "nope." i said. "we have to hurry, and get our forces together." astra said. we went into a room, to get ready. i changed into boots, black jeans, and a longsleved shirt. as we made our way to the front doors men armed us. "here, conceal your weapons." astra said, hading out black cloaks. "wait." i said, before we all moved on. "alright lets go." i said. "what'd you do?" kayden asked. "gave everyone health." i said, marching up the snowy hill. "where are they?" landen asked. "they'll be here." i said. i closed and opened my fists, and bounced with egerness. i don't know what the hell came over me, but i was ready to put an end to darkness.they all came. i pulled off my hood. "empress!" doron said, half-humor half-shock. "i thought for sure one such as yourself, would fight on the right side. come, it's not to late." he said, holding out his hand to me. i felt a strage pull to him, but i turned it into anger. "put your hand down." i said. "perhaps it is too late." he said. "you have gone against your fathers wish." i said. "that old man? empress, he didn't even know what was going on outside of his room. he said, as if we'd been friends for years. "i took care of everything, while princess astra played with her dollies." he said. astra became still at my side. "bitter are we?" i asked. "just a bit." he said. i looked around, them. someof the sliver-skinned freaks had wings. rosealind's head rose, as she noticed. she took off her hood. "Jaymerson!" he said, pointing. kayden and landen took off there hoods. "oramet, groanner! you have all the high powered vampires, don't you astra!" he said. so that's why we where pulle together, we where the most powerful vampires. " i'm warning you to stand down to Us." i said. "never." he said. "rosealind the flyers, everyone you know what to do. as if a black smoke all of our cloaks fell to the floor, and i took aim, and shot a flyer. "atack!" doron said. " yeah, what he said," i said. for the next five minuets the clearing was smeared with blood, and chopped off body parts. i wanted to hurl but i had to continue. "doron!" i yelled. he turned, and i shot a arrow through his heart. the fighting stoped. he pulled out the arrow, and twirled it in his hands. "silly girl, don't you know you can't kill me?" he asked. "circle of chains!" astra yelled. i joined hands with my friends. mine and rosealinds, hair flew around our faces, on contact. our eyes, and hair glowed, making it look as if my hair was truly on fire. "darkness has fallen apon the world, with this spell we shed light apon it!" we all yelled together. we rose off the floor, and a beam of light shot to the sky. all the vampires and silver-skins fell to the floor, ears covered, except astra and doron. "we don't need you hear, we are just fine, in the name of." we said. "The Empress!" i yelled. "The Jaymerson!" rosealind yelled. "The Groanner!" kayden yelled. "The Orament!" laden yelled. "be gone you darkness!" we yelled. the light shot at doron and we fell to our knees. doron let out an out of this world yell. there, was a shield of light around it and then it was gone along with doron. we all stood. astra got down on one knee to me. my friends and the vampires followed. the silver-skins got down to. "all Hail Empress Ember!" astra yelled, her voice ehcoing. "all hail Empress Ember!" everyone yelled. From that moment on, ready or not, i was a ruler of an entire world.
