his mother, he missed her already. He rubbed his temples with his forefingers. Then he said a silent prayer before he reopened his eyes. He was in for it.
David went back to sleep for another two hours before his grandpa woke him up. They got off the plane and found that he was going to another carriage.
They rode in silence for another few hours before she saw the palace in the distance, his heartbeat was thudding hard againtst his rib cage. Excitement coursed through his blood. They rode on for another few minutes passing thourgh bends in the road. They entered the courtyard and pulled up to the grand entrance. He smiled from eye to eye, and his grandpa chuckled when he saw David's wonder.
David got off the carriage and ran up to the doors, waiting for his grandpa. When they opened the doors, he rushed in taking in the foyer infront of him. The beams of the cieling arched in rows along the top, pillars stood along the hall, making it seem old. Paintings lined the walls, it was beautiful, the chandieler that hung from the ceiling looed like it was made form the finest glass or whatever it was called, he was never good with that kind of stuff. He stood there taking in every detail of the front, before his grandpa cleared his throat and broke his trance.
They continued through out the palace, taking right turns, then right turns, entering doors after doors. When he tought they had traveled about twenty miles, they stopped, and he relized they were at the beginning.
"Liza, come and show Daivd to his qaurters and have him fitted right away for ten robes," the king ordered.
A small dainty lady walked in and bowed, then she looked at David and smiled. She gestured for him to follow and they went down a hall that david and his grandpa didn't visit yet. They came to a door on the right and entered. The room was huge, on once side of the room, there was a king sized bed, the linen looked like silk and cotton. Next to the bed was a night stand with a oil lamp and a book. David moved his gaze from that side of the bed to the other sode of the room and saw a reading area were there three bookshelves that lined the wall filled with books, and infront of those, there was a small table and four chairs.
Liza bowed and spoke.
"My prince, this way please."
She took him into what was his closet and had him stand on a raised part of the floor. She took out a measuring tape and started measurign his waist and legs. When she was done writing down all the measurments, she left the room and returned shortly with a pile of fabric in her arms, she had a needle bag and scissors hanging from a pouch from the side of her skirts.
She dropped the material and started to sort through it. When she mathed four patterns together, she started to measure all the lengths needed to make his clothes. She moved quicky but knowingly. When she was done karing all the patterns and mearements, she took her scissors and started cutting along the lines she drew. She bent over her work for a while, then she turned around and showed me her handy work. The shirt was made with a green emerald material that was elegant and manly. She grabbed his sleeve and yanked off his shirt, then she replaced it with the one she had just sewn.
She circled around him with needl and thread making adjustments here and there. When she was finished, she grabbed David's old shirt and took it to a pile of dirty clothes in the corner of his closet. When she came back she repeated the steps she took to make his shirt to make his pants. He watched silently, and when she was done, she had him take off his pants and put on the ones she made. When she was finished adjucting the clothes, she took him the the ling mirror that hung from the wall.
He looked stunning. The clothes formed to his body perfectly. The colors was exquisit. The collar of his shirt was a darker green and had a ragged nice look to it, his shirt was simple but comfortable and his pants jus the same. By the time they stepped out of the closet, he looked out the window and the sun was already setting. He looked around and saw Liza retreating.
"Wait. Could you take me to my grandpa?"
She nodded and David followed.
