thoughts enter my head.
I moved my hair out of my eyes and looked at him.
He couldnāt keep his mind on keeping his thoughts out of my head. S-sheās more beautiful than I thought she was. Gorgeousā¦I canāt believe my eyes! He thought.
I waited for him to stop gawking.
He let out a little laugh then put his hand behind his head smiling. āYou look nice.ā
I smiled at him then bowed. āAs do you!ā I said smiling.
He put his hand over his face. āHehā¦,ā he managed to laugh. āMay I ask why was it that you wanted me to take this form?ā he asked letting his hands down.
āI want to test your skills,ā I said calmly.
He looked somewhat confused. āEhā¦what do you mean?ā he asked.
āI donāt want to hurt anything in your Galaxy by accidentā¦,ā I said looking around. āLetās go to the battle Galaxyāthe Galaxy which is meant for the Master Spirits to practice fighting,ā I said looking at him.
He nodded and we teleported to the Battle Galaxy.
We made sure that there was no one around before we started anything.
āSo you want to battle?ā he asked.
āNo, I want to teach you how to fight,ā I explained.
āYou want to teach me how to fight?ā he asked.
I nodded. āYou said your main power is ice?ā I asked.
āYep, thatās the only thing Iām really good at,ā he said. āIām no good at healing or any of the other elementsā¦,ā he admitted.
āExactly my point. Iāll teach you how to use your other powers.ā
He seemed to be following along.
āI am able to sense the stronger powers of other Spirits. Even if they do not acknowledge them themselves.ā
He nodded letting me know he understood what I was saying.
āI sense fire in you. A fire that will be undefeatable by others if you use it right,ā I said.
āFire? How could that be?ā he asked.
āHave you ever once thought about why youāre always warm?ā
He thought about it. āNow that you put it that way.... Iāve never really practiced fireā¦,ā he said.
I smiled. āThatās why Iām going to teach you,ā I said.
He bowed as if he were ready to start training. āIt would be weird since me physical age is three years older than youā¦ but shall I address you by āsenseiā?ā he asked.
āNo, just call meā¦,ā I thought about what I had told Aaron.
āI let no one call me by my first name.ā
āCall me Mikazuki,ā I said.
He smiled. āSo thatās your name? I think itās the first time Iāve heard itāif Iām not mistaken,ā he said kindly.
I smiled back. āSorry for not introducing myself sooner.ā
āItās fine,ā he said.
āOkay, now to start training,ā I said.
He smiled. āIām ready!ā
āSo Iāll start off teaching you fire,ā I said. āClose your eyes.ā
He closed his eyes and listened to me.
āFeel your blood pulsing into your veinsā¦?ā I asked.
He concentrated. āYes,ā he said when he knew he could feel every beat.
āFrom your mind, send fire through your veins,ā I said doing this myself.
I let only a little fire come to my hand. āFeel the raging fire,ā I said.
Little by little, flames circled him.
I created a fire ball. āOpen your eyes,ā I said.
He opened his eyes without hesitation.
I threw the fire ball at him.
The flames around him grew and absorbed the fire.
I shot more at him, this time they were much bigger. āKeep it up, youāre doing well!ā I said.
His fire absorbed each one of my fireballs.
āSend them back!ā I commanded.
All the fire he had created formed into one ball then went to a ball no bigger than my fist.
I made an ice barrier. I knew it would fall, so I put up another barrier made of water.
He pushed the fire ball to me as fast as he could.
The fire ball didnāt melt, but shattered the ice, then disintegrated into the water.
He put his hands on his knees and panted. āIāveā¦never felt that muchā¦powerā¦!ā he said trying to catch his breath.
āGreat job! If you keep it up, then youāll have it mastered. You look like you could probably only do these three times at this rate. Even then, I think youāll end up collapsingā¦Iāll teach you something else. Keep practicing that, but always do it here.ā
He nodded. āHow powerfulā¦on a scale of one to ten would you say mine was?ā he asked after catching his breath.
āHmmā¦probably just a one,ā I said honestly.
āOnly one!?ā he exclaimed. āYou want me to learn that powerful of a move?!ā
āI believe you can do it. If you would like to see its full extent, I could show you. And to be truthful, I didnāt think you would even be able to get completely through my ice barrier,ā I said preparing myself.
āReally?ā
āIām not lying. Here, watch,ā I said closing my eyes.
Fire circled my body like chains. I made a huge firewall before making it all form into one small orbāthe size of a small pebble.
Shing watched as I put two fingers in front of my face, and the other hand out in front of me.
I sent the least amount of force as I possibly could into it then sent it off.
It landed on a huge asteroid, making the entire thing explode with a loud crash!
I quickly teleported to Shing, stepped in front of him, then put a barrier around us.
The fire sucked into one spot quickly, then exploded once again, but this time its wave of fire extended all the way past where we were and past the next three battle platforms.
When the blast went away, I let my barrier down.
Shing was gawking. āWow! Look at the damage you did!ā he said.
The Battle Galaxy was a Galaxy made for fighting, so it would immediately start to regenerate after being destroyed.
I kept my back to him. I stood up straight keeping my breathing normal.
When I was sure that my breathing was steady and I wouldnāt lose my breath, I turned to him. āThatās how itās done! I still didnāt do the entire thingā¦that was probably only a five thoughā¦I didnāt really want to fully use it.ā
āAmazing! Youāre not even breathing hard!ā he said.
āItās sure does take a lot of energy thoughā¦,ā I moaned. āI can only do about five of those before I run out of energy. I use it very rarely. I usually stick with the powerful, yet less energy consuming techniques,ā I started. āTo tell you the truth, if I had gone all out and put my full force into it, this Galaxy would have been destroyedāIām not saying it wouldnāt regenerate thoughā¦,ā I finished.
He waited for what I was going to say next.
āPractice that every time you can, no more than once a day. When I come back next, I will show you how to make it an orb instead of a fire ball. My noble, Kein is watching Earthā¦I really donāt think he can handle it for too long. Iād better be getting back,ā I said taking my Great Spirit form in place of my Master Spirit form.
Shing took his Great Spirit form as well. āOkay, Iāll be waiting your returnā¦Mikazuki,ā he said bowing.
I bowed to him then teleported to my Galaxy. I wonder if that helps any with the Kein problemā¦I didnāt think of him once until the endā¦when I started thinking of Earth. I thought going to Pluto.
I stepped onto its surface then looked at Keinās name.
The circle was no longer complete, but had a little gap.
I smiled. āSo Shing is my cure,ā I said letting my hair down. I tied the golden-silk ribbon to my wrist as a memo of today.
I teleported back to the valley then took my human form.
I laughed. āI havenāt had that much fun in so long!ā I said to myself.
I danced around the meadow as if I were in a ballroom.
I looked at the sun, which was high in the sky. I must have been gone for a couple daysā¦. I thought.
I looked at the rimming of the valley, which was covered in roses, then walked over to one of the rose bushes.
I picked on of the roses, being careful not to stick myself with one or the thorns. I smiled as I ran my finger, gently, over one of the pedals.
āSo you did go to see Shing?ā I heard Keinās voice ask.
I didnāt face him at first. Iāve got to act normalā¦I wonder what heāll doā¦. I thought turning around.
āUmā¦wellā¦,ā I said still holding the rose.
āSo itās trueā¦I was wondering why you were gone for so long,ā he said. āFour daysā¦I really didnāt think you would be gone for so long,ā he said looking me in the eyes.
āEhā¦well,ā I started. I squeezed the roseās stem. āOuch!ā I said dropping it.
A drop of blood trickled down my finger.
Rosesā¦so beautifulā¦yet they can be so deceivingā¦. I thought watching it drip. I didnāt heal myself, but instead I held my hand in front of me.
Kein walk over to me seeing I wasnāt going to heal myself. He started to take my hand before I pulled away from him.
I turned my back to him. It hurtsā¦he hurts me much moreā¦. I thought.
He put his hand on my shoulder.
I watched as my finger healed. āWhy?ā I asked.
āWhat?ā
āWhy would you heal me?ā I asked keeping my back to him.
He didnāt answer.
āPlease leave me be,ā I said walking out of the valley.
Kein picked the rose up and looked at it before taking it out of the valley with him.
Almost a year passed; I rarely talked to Kein.
I had been visiting Shing about twice a month, as well as visiting Aaron about once a month.
I was in the valley again with Kein; we just had another argument about Shingā¦. Keinās circle has about one third left until itās completely gone.
I let out a sharp whistle.
A black horse with a white main and tail came running into the valley. It gracefully galloped towards me.
I walked to meet her. āGood day, Avilion,ā I said petting her neck.
She whinnied then put her nose in my hands. Have you brought any goodies? She thought.
I laughed. āIām sorry girl, I donāt have any right now,ā I said rubbing her forehead.
She seemed to look at Kein then back to me. You seem saddenedā¦is it something he has done? She asked.
I put my head to hers and smiled. Not reallyā¦wellā¦.
So yesā¦it was him?
I let go of her head and went to her side.
She watched me still wanting me to answer her question.
āI guess,ā I said.
She snorted at Kein then stomped her foot.
āCalm down, Avilion,ā I said patting her neck.
She was still angry. How dare he make you sad! She exclaimed.
Kein stood still but looked at me.
I looked away. Letās go, Avilion. āIāll be back by sundown,ā
She turned her head to the side to look at me. Where to? She asked.
āAnywhere is fine,ā I said leaning down to her withers. Anywhere but near Keinā¦. I said.
She snorted at Kein once more then lifted her head high to gracefully gallop out of the valley.
I kept my head close to her neck. āGentle girl, we donāt want to be heard,ā I told her as I patted her neck.
Her ears fell back as if she were listening to me. Would you like to go into the human village? She asked.
