head in his lap. Wood Earth looked up at him and smiled.
Wood Earth made small hand movements that meant, “Now I remember…but I thank you for being so kind to me and my Earthling. I fear I will have to go… but tell my sisters to look for me. I will not be completely dead in spirit nor heart.”
The king began to cry. “Don’t go,” he begged, “I never meant for you to die!”
The next second Earth Wolf shoved the king away and wrapped his arms around Wood Earth. Wood Earth looked at him and smiled. She spoke to him through her mind, “I love you Earth Wolf,” she whispered, “take care of our little Earthling, and search for me… I will be reborn as something other than a plant…please…(cough)…I won’t remember you but…” Wood Earth did not finish for she drew her last breath. Earth Wolf huddled over her as tears poured from his eyes. Earthling came over to Wood Earth not a tear stained her cheek.
“Papa lets go…” she tugged on Earth Wolfs sleeve. Wolf Earth gently placed Wood Earth on the ground and turned away as he scooped up Earthling. Everyone followed and turned only when they herd the sound of a long mournful howl. They saw vines wrap around Wood Earth and form a kind of coffin that drew her into the ground. When they were gone a transparent brown wolf with green tipped tail and green and brown eyes stood where Wood Earth had layed. It gave one last mournful cry before slowly disappearing into the sky. Fire Lily, Water Lily, Earth Wolf, Water Lynx, Fire Fox, and Earthling watched in wonder until the wolf was gone and a new story began.

Dedication:
This book was written by me and a few friends back when we were 13. Around the 3rd chapter they stopped writing and I trashed it to rewrite it my own way. Thank you girls for helping me to get the idea for this wonderful story. On a side note... This book is unedited. It is still written as it was when I wrote it when I was 13. I am currently working on editing and fixing it.
