Episode Eight "Extended Challenger Universe - Phase One & Two"

“I can’t have a normal life… It’s impossible.”

[Quote from: Element S1 E3 - “Normal Life” (2020) {Jayhawk Television - Gen. VII} ]

Hello All!

To start this episode off, I’ll like to thank the people supporting Element: Season One - Becoming A Hero. I had a lot of fun writing that twelve-episode series and can’t wait for Element’s next appearances.

Anyway, I would like to talk about the Extended Challenger Universe (ECU). This shared superhero universe originally began in 2017 with the story, Element and the Stone of Ice. However, those plans crashed and burned after their release. Since then, the universe has been dormant until 2020 with Two Page Shorts: Volume One’s Element: Origin. Origin exploded into an entire universe with the second installment in the Extended Challenger Universe (ECU) being The Underground Tales' (TUT) The Insurgents: Season One. It was then followed by two short series, a Jayhawk Television (JTV) series, and a Multiverse-connected series.

Besides the rebirth of the universe, large inspirations such as the Marvel Cinematic Universe and DC Extended Universe inspired much of the ECU; especially with the release schedule. The ECU is divided into six or more installment phases.

Phase One is currently being released over the span of, little, over a year;

Element: Origin

A short story that sees Max Saint finding a strange crystal in his backyard. Upon touching it, he absorbs the crystal and its power. Alongside the powers, a strange being emerges, known as the Guardian. Guardian then serves as his mentor, teaching him until a hostage incident at his sister’s school drives him away. He heads to his sister’s school, hoping to save her and become a true superhero.

The Insurgents: Season One

A short four-episode season under TUT that follows Jane Row---an artificial hero---created to serve her creators. However, she escapes and becomes a thorn in her creators’ side, breaking into one of their facilities and saving three youngsters that they kidnapped. As she does this, a dangerous foe emerges in ex-wrestler Rex Ford (also known as Spineripper) who threatens Chicago’s safety.

Jarvis Light: Chapter One

This short story follows Jarvis Aaron, a man down on his luck with very few beams of light in his life. He lives in the slums of Chicago, barely surviving until he’s kidnapped by a mysterious organization under the government of Eddie Hall, a politician by day and supervillain at night. Fortunately, Jarvis escapes from captivity and returns home, however, he’s tracked down by a mysterious assassin wielding opposite powers than his. Known as DT, this man used his death powers to attack Jarvis.

Impossible Girl

Impossible Girl follows Helen Hollow, another victim of the same projects run by Eddie Hall. However, she was in a different facility than Jarvis’ facility, managing to escape and flee to an abandoned warehouse. There she’s picked up by officers who take her to the station before Doctor Spark---her captor---sends one of his minions to track her down.

Element: Season One - Becoming A Hero

The first season of Element takes place after Origin and sees Max recovering from Origin’s conclusion. Aside from mentally recovering, he steps down as a hero, instead, wanting to be a normal high schooler. However, a mysterious assassin then targets one of Max’s best friend’s life. This ends up putting Max back into the suit and sees him continuing his training. After training his elemental essence, he fights against a mysterious black goo monster. Unfortunately, the monster escapes but is tracked down by a businessman named Kenny Smithson with the help of the assassin.

The Hunter: Season One

This limited series follows Aaron James, a man who was kidnapped and tortured before being freed by a man named Kojii Rachoi who teaches him everything he knows. Aaron then returns to his fictional hometown of Cidon, Florida, with a revenge-driven mind after learning of Asura Industries’ kidnapping scheme. He goes after Asura, trying to shut down its most important project; a portal that opened a new universe and brought in metahumans.

With the descriptions of Phase One’s entries completed, let me show off the roster of Phase Two. Phase Two will begin in August of 2021 and will last through September 2022. There will be a total of seven entries;

Jarvis Light: Chapter Two {Two Page Shorts} [August 2021] A sequel following after the events of the first chapter Impossible Girl 2: The Vault {Two Page Shorts} [September 2021] Following the first installment, Helen finds herself in a superpowered prison run by a vicious warden Element: Season Two {Jayhawk Television} [November - February 2021] The second season finds Max meeting a metahuman and getting into her troubles and fighting against the vicious doctor that ran the experiments Wolford: Chapter One {Multiverse} [February - March 2022] A look into an underground society plagued with corruption, war, and secrets. Several natural-born magicians live together and die together in war and betrayal Red Blade: The Destroyers of the Human Realm {Two Page Shorts} [August 2022] An agent working for the government assigned to a case ends up connecting to a threat hinted at in earlier series. The agent realizes a fate worse than death; enslavement Lightning: Season One {Multiverse} [September - October/November 2022] A car crash and an intake of a spirit grants Hailey powers, but she doesn’t want them. She tries to stay low, but she ends up facing an escaped metahuman.

Thank you for reading this episode. I can wait to see how Phase Two will explore the established characters and push everything towards the finale (similar to the MCU’s Avengers: Endgame, which wrapped up many storylines in a nice little bow). However, the finale won’t be the end of the universe, instead, acting as a way to clear the slate of past storylines and characters and introduce new stuff into the universe.

Again, thank you for your time. Until next time, I bid you all a good day!

Episode Nine "Historia: The Guide - Page One [Historia]"

`“... grant me the power to dispel the barrier while granting me the power to establish a new barrier.”

[Quote from: The Era of Witches S1 E3 - “Hornsville (2)” (2021) {Multiverse: Collection} ]

Hello All!

Welcome to Historia: The Guide, a Scrapped Original that explains different parts of the largest universe under Jayhawk Studio. The Historia Universe has been alive since February 2019 and continues strongly during recent months, already surpassing two years of being alive.

This will be the first of several new planned ‘The Guide’ e-books that will be under the Scrapped Original label. If this series succeeds, then expect more The Guides for other universes.

The first page will focus on the background of Historia and explain how the universe came to light. The future pages will follow specific parts of the universe and the hundreds of characters in it and other important aspects of the large universe.

The Historia universe began in February 2019 under the name of Troy Universe with Troy: The Demon Knight S1. The following month saw Legend S1 and a non-canon series named Troy: Legends of Old, which acted as a spin-off.

Originally, the Troy Universe only consisted of the main series and the sorta spin-off with Legend being added to the fray towards the end of the first season.

Further down the line, Demon Hunter S1 premiered in October 2019 and was later brought into the world of Historia alongside a budding series (that only had three underdeveloped episodes which were remastered into a short story) named Kira: The Powerful Tamer. Legend S2, premiering in November 2019, absorbed Demon Hunter and Kira: The Powerful Tamer into the universe, making the events of both series canon.

Serving as the opposite of the mostly light-hearted Legend series, Black Hood S1 premiered in March 2020 as a dark and rather sad tale of a kid turned assassin. This series was then followed up by a now-scrapped The Troy Files: Volume I, which served as a version of the guide you’re reading at the moment.

Premiering in June 2020 as a spin-off of Legend S2 and as the first installment of a prequel trilogy, John Calamity: The Reincarnation of the Evil God served to tell the tale of the villain’s origin story and how ended up becoming who we were first introduced to.

August 2020 then began a series of remasters that lasted for several months:

Legend S1 Remaster in August  The aforementioned Kira: The Powerful Tales short-story in September Demon Hunter S1 Remaster in October  Troy: The Demon Knight S1 Soft Reboot in November  Black Hood S1 Remaster in December  Legend S2 Soft Reboot in March 2021.

By 2021, the universe shifted to become Historia, ditching the Troy Universe name since Troy: The Demon Knight was no longer the leading series.

Then, in October 2020, the second season (the first season to be made under Historia universe) of Demon Hunter was released.

Later, premiering in November 2020, alongside the soft-reboot of the first season of Troy, was a series known as Silos, which took place during a peculiar time in Historia where Otherworlders were plentiful and taken as hostages or executed.

After Silos, came Black Hood S2 in March 2021. Following Black Hood S2 will be The New Guard S1, taking place sometime after Legend S1’s episode twelve.

Now we’re up to the end of the linear releases, however, sometime earlier in 2021 a large decision was made to absorb four new series into the Historia universe. These series had no connections previously, now all being remastered to fit the universe.

The first of which, The Adopted Human-Elves, has been completed. The first season was completed utilizing the flash-fiction collection, Multiverse: Collection. The second season will be delivered on The Underground Tales.

The second series taken under Historia’s wing is Archer & Disciple. The first season will be receiving a soft reboot in the coming months that make it more aligned with Historia’s rules and world. A second season will be found on Multiverse: Collection.

The third series being adopted by Historia is Failed Summoner and Her Weak Summon. The first season is being remastered via Multiverse: Collection and will be completed by the end of 2021. A second season will be delivered via Multiverse: Collection sometime in the future.

The fourth and final series will be Elemental Tyler which will be remastered on Multiverse: Collection and new seasons will come out on the same collection.
