I'm 24 years old. I'm getting better at this. I even have vampires after me. What more do you want?"

"Mia... You are not going. That's final."

"Aunt Linda, I'm not a little girl anymore."

"I know. I just not going to risk you getting hurt. I'm already sending you out on missions that already dangerous enough. Okay?"

'Sigh' "Okay."

"Good. Tomorrow morning at 6:00 A.M, I want you to come over. I need to tell you something."

"Why can't you just tell me now?"

"That's because I think it’s best that I tell you tomorrow... I have to go now."

"Okay. See you tomorrow."

"Good bye."

"Good bye." I exit out the chat, shut my laptop, and went to bed. I wonder what Aunt Linda want to tell me. Is she going to send me on another mission? From the tone of her voice, it sound serious. I just have to wait until tomorrow. I close my eyes and fell asleep.

Chapter 2

I woke up when I hear my alarm go off. I sat up quickly and look around. It was so quiet in here. I look under my pillow and I still see my stake. I got out my bed and went to the bathroom. I took a shower and brush my teeth. When I left out the bathroom, I put on a white tank top with black shorts, sneakers, and I put my hair into a pony tail. I went downstairs and ate a bowl of cereal. It was so quiet at home, but I try not to think about it that much. I grab my duffel bag with my equipment/ weapons and went to the garage. When I was in the car, I put my seat belt on, start the engine, and drove off. It took me 14 minutes to get to Aunt Linda's house. When I got out the car, I can see that the windows is broken and the door is broken down. I hurried and got my bow and arrows from the car and ran into the house. The house was a mess. There were glass and blood everywhere. I can see all of Aunt Linda's crew dead. Also, some vampires were dead with stakes sticking out their chest.

"No. This can't be happening. It just can't." I said to myself. I ran upstairs to Aunt Linda's room, but everything was torn down. I open her closet and a vampire jump out at me. I push him off me and stood up. He stood up too and grab me by my throat. He was tall and strong. I grab my stake from my belt and stab him with it. He let go of me and I fell to the floor. I know the stake miss his heart, but it gave me more time to catch my breath. As soon as I can breathe again, I grab my bow and arrow, stood up, and turn around. He took out the stake and threw it toward me. I duck out the way just in time before it could hit me. Swiftly, I got one of my arrows, put it to my bow, and let go. Just before the vampire got the chance to get me, he stop and look down at his chest. The wooden arrow went straight through him. He fell to his knees and went face first to the floor. I left out the room and look some more upstairs for Aunt Linda. When I didn't see her, I start to get more worried. I went downstairs and look around, but I did not see her. I start to get frustrated. I took out my cell phone and call Aunt Linda's phone. I follow the sound and it led to the basement. I ran down the stairs and I see Aunt Linda leaning against the wall. She was gasping for air as blood came out the corner of her mouth. I ran to her as tears fill my eyes.

"What happened?" I ask. She turn her head to me.

"He crushed my chest bone... Don't have much time." she gasp, trying to take deep breaths, but it would fail.

"Who?"

"He is the one who turn your parents. He found out that I know about it." She wince.

"I'm confused. Who?"

"...Prince… Chandler..." Before she got to finish, her legs start to shake. I grab her, trying to settle her down.

"Stay with me Aunt Linda... Please." But it was too late. She draws in a breath that made gurgling sound. More blood spill out as her eyes roll in the back of her head as she goes limp. "Aunt Linda?" She didn't say anything. No. This can't be happening to me. I held Aunt Linda to me as I cried. Those vampires took everything from me. Now I have no one. After crying for a few minutes, I lay Aunt Linda down gently on the floor and took the amulet she always wear. Aunt Linda once told me that my grandmother gave her this. It was passed down from generation to generation. I look over and see the gasoline. I pick it up and poured the gasoline all over the house. When I get to the door of the house, I lit the lighter and threw it in it. I left out the house and went into my car. For a few minutes, I watch as the house burn down. I look down at the amulet and held on to it. I wipe away my tears and drove back to my house. As soon as I park my car in the garage, I went into the house, and go to my room. I took off my bloodied clothes and took a hot shower. As soon as I was done, I put on my long t- shirt, but I kept my hair wet. I grab my bloodied clothes and put it into the fire place. I got into bed, lay down, and pull the cover close to me. When I close my eyes to go to sleep, I end up crying. I miss Aunt Linda already. It have been a while since I have cried. That is when I had killed my parents. Now, what am I supposed to do? I have no one. All I can do now is cry. So, I cried for the rest of the day until I fell asleep.

"Straighten out your elbows so you can aim better... Yes, like that." Aunt Linda says as she stood behind me. This is my first training day and out of all the weapons that Aunt Linda showed me to be a pro at, I chose the bow and arrow. I just love it. When I let go of the arrow, it soared until it hit bull’s-eye of the target.

"I did it Aunt Linda!" I said excitedly with my high 11 year old voice as I hugged her.

"Yes you did sweetheart. You can do anything. Once I am finished with you, you will be able to kill any bloodsucker in sight. I know you can." she said as she hugged me back.

"Aunt Linda?"

"Yes?"

"Will Mom and Dad be proud of me, even though I have to kill them?" Aunt Linda sighed

"Mia, your parents would be proud of you. They did not ask to be changed. Just think of it as saving your parents. They will love you anyway." she said. I tried to keep myself from crying, but I couldn't help it. I lost my parents to vampires, and now I have to destroy them, the ones I love.

"Don't cry. I want you to promise me something." she says

"What?" I asked as I wipe my tears.

"After I finish training you, I want you to promise me that no matter what, you will always protect and defend the one you love."

"What are you talking about Aunt Linda?"

"Just promise me."

"I promise." Aunt Linda smiled and hugged me.

"I love you Mia."

"I love you too, Aunt Linda." I said as I hugged her back.

**********************************

That is when I woke up. I look over at my alarm clock and see it is 4 am in the morning. I went over to my cell phone and dialed James number. He is the one I call to get addresses from.

"Mia? How are you?"

"I'm alright. I just have a favor to ask you."

"Sure."

"Can you give me the address to Prince Chandler's home and find if he is holding anything soon?"

"I'll start now. I will call you when I get the information."

"Okay. Thank you."

"You welcome. Tell Linda I said hi." I felt a knot in the middle of my throat. I held back my tears.

"Okay. Bye." I said as I hung up. I went over to my laptop and searched up Prince Chandler. He is the leader of the kingdom of vampires. When the search came up a picture of him popped up. It was strange because I kind of found him attractive with his icy blue eyes, his black hair, and his strong bone structure in his pale face. Too bad I have to kill him. A life for a life. He killed my aunt and changed my parents to vampires. He is going to be a little hard to kill because he is an original. But... I promised my aunt. I will protect and defend the ones I love. I will not let Prince Chandler get away with this.
