two first. To be honest, I didn"t even know what that meant when I said it.” She paused, her tongue poking out to moisten swollen lips. “But here"s the thing, Brandon. Ever since I saw you two kiss last night, I can"t stop thinking about it. And then I had this crazy idea.”

Brandon"s brain finally recovered enough to start firing on all cylinders again.

Right. She"d mentioned something about that earlier. He"d assumed kissing him had been the crazy idea. Sure had seemed pretty insane at the time.

“But before I tell you,” she continued, “I have a confession to make.” A confession? Good god. He didn"t know how many more revelations he could take this week.

And still, he had to ask. “What"s that?”

“I"ve always wanted you.”

He had an almost hysterical urge to clean out his ears. Staring at her face, he watched the pink stains of arousal fade, replaced by the deeper red of embarrassment.

He said the only thing he could. “What?”

“I want you. I"ve always wanted you. You"re so beautiful and holy cow, I"ve dreamed of fucking you since I was too young to know what it would really mean. I was on the verge of throwing myself at you when Patrick and I first hooked up. Then it just didn"t seem right. Not for the last fifteen years.”

“What?” he asked again, even while wondering if the phrase “I"ve dreamed of fucking you” was going to stop playing on repeat in his mind anytime in the next decade? His cock sure found it a fascinating notion, in spite of being well and truly sated until the moment the words crossed her lips.

Destiny kindly ignored his inability to say anything intelligent. “But then you kissed him and I saw you together and my god, Brandon, it was the sexiest thing I"ve ever seen.”

He was numb. Was this even happening? Or was it some totally whacked-out dream?

“What?”

Destiny knelt on the couch, leaning forward to grab the front of his shirt in two fists and brought his face close to hers. She stared directly into his eyes. “I want you. I"m sexually attracted to you. I"d like to be with you. You know, like sex? Are you getting this?” She shook him once, gently. “I can see you"re having a hard time processing this.”

He nodded slowly. She wanted him? Destiny wanted to be with him? He shook his head. “What?”

Her smile was rueful. “I"m hoping for some feedback here, Bran. I"m hoping that I"m not misinterpreting what just happened. I"m hoping that wasn"t some fluke and that you felt how fucking hot that was.”

He wasn"t dead. Of course, he"d felt it. “I did. It was. I"ve always wanted you too.” Not exactly articulate, but he"d managed to get his point across.

Her shoulders dropped, the tension released on a gusting sigh of relief. “Thank god.

I thought I was going to have to defibrillate you for a moment there.” That probably wouldn"t have helped. He wasn"t sure how many more jolts his heart could take. Now, though, it was beating just fine. Actually, it was beating so furiously he could barely hear his own voice over the roar of blood in his ears.

“I can"t believe this.” His voice sounded hoarse. Her face fell and he continued quickly. “I"ve dreamed of kissing you like that.” So many dreams. Of Destiny. Of Patrick.

He was promptly reminded how fucked up this week was turning out to be. “Destiny, what does all this mean? What just happened? Why are you telling me this now?” She let go of his shirt and sat back on her feet, still facing him while kneeling sideways on the couch. “Ever since I saw you and Patrick together, all I can think is that I want to be with you.”

“What about Patrick?”

“Him, too. I want to be with both of you. At the same time.” 38

Destiny Calls

For a moment he could do little more than stare. She"d said the idea was crazy. And boy, she wasn"t wrong. “Honey, I don"t think that"s a good idea. I mean, two kisses and Patrick"s ready to kick my ass to the curb. I don"t think trying for more, even with you in the middle, would help.”

“No! That"s not what I mean.” She threaded her fingers through her disheveled hair and for a moment Brandon flashed back to what it was like to have the soft strands curtaining his face, tickling his neck as she kissed him, as she came around his fingers.

He reined in his wandering thoughts, focusing instead on what Destiny was trying to tell him. “What do you mean?”

“I mean, I want all of us to be together. A threesome. Me with you, you with Patrick, me with Patrick. Together at once. If Patrick and I can be lovers and stay friends, why can"t the three of us do it?”

Holy Christ, she’s kidding, right? Brandon studied her face. She was totally serious.

“You"re crazy.”

“Am I?”

“Yes.” Wasn’t she?

“Will you think about it?” she asked.

Would he think about it? Hilarious. He doubted he"d be able to think about anything else.

Patrick couldn"t stop thinking about it. Sitting at his desk, surrounded by the brotherhood of the Boston Police Department, all he could think about was Brandon and Destiny and the totally off-the-wall idea Destiny had proposed to him last night.

He"d been concerned when she"d shown up unannounced at almost eleven o"clock at night. He"d been nervous when she"d said she"d come from Brandon"s place and asked to come in so they could talk. He"d been shockingly aroused when she"d told him what had happened, that she and Brandon had kissed, touched each other, brought each other to a quick, hard climax. Somehow, though, he hadn"t been the least bit surprised. Or jealous.

Which was, he had to admit, really weird.

But nothing she said had prepared him for what she"d suggested next. A threesome? A threesome with Destiny, Brandon and himself.

It was ludicrous. Totally bonkers. And every single time he"d thought about it since,
