She tugged off his boxers and made sure they never broke eye contact. The piercing of her eyes right into his soul sometimes made him extremely uncomfortable, but at times like this, it could also be incredibly erotic.
Bobby reached out to touch her welcoming breasts, but she backed away slightly.
“For now, hands to yourself,” she murmured.
Oh god, I’m in for it, he thought.
She is going to make me want it. She’s trying to draw me out, make me feel something other than my dick inside her. Well, she was going to enjoy another tussle sometime today involving Nutella. Just like the day he been bailed out of jail after that misunderstanding with Lionel DuChamp.
The memory of it still made him shudder and not with pleasure. He put the old man out of his head. He focused on the excruciating task of keeping his hands to himself when his copper-haired beauty and all her luscious curves were surrounding him, taunting him.
Pen lowered herself onto his shaft, and he moaned with the warmth and wetness of it. His eyes rolled back in his head.
“Eyes on me!” she shouted.
“Such a drill sergeant.”
She giggled. “You’re the one who’s doing the drilling, baby. Get to it.”
Bobby watched as her breasts jiggled with his every thrust that claimed her. He ached to reach out and cup them, to claim them.
“Pen, I can’t take this,” he said. “I need to touch you.”
Then touch them,” she said. “I dare you.”
He squinted up at her. What was she playing at?
So, he reached up and tried to touch her, and at the same time, she clamped down so hard it was like the most exquisite pain of his life.
“Are you awake now, Bobby?”
“Yes,” he cried.
She slowed down her rhythm. “Oh God, don’t slow down.”
She smirked. “Am I slowing down? I hadn’t noticed.”
“Baby, come on.”
He felt so ready to explode into his woman.
But before she could pick up her rhythm again and bring him to climax, Bobby reached down and found her clit. His desire for her spiked while he watched her mouth go slack at his touch.
She began to moan. He knew exactly what was going to happen next, and he was ready for it. He began to growl. His growling brought out her growling, and pretty soon, the two wolves thoroughly let loose on each other. It was all fur, fangs, and claws. The windows were open, and he didn’t even care if the neighbors could hear them. It had been too long since he totally let go on her like this, and she on him.
He had resisted, but he needed this.
When the beasts were finally sated, gasping for air in each other’s arms, Pen turned to him and kissed him.
“Are you ever sad we didn’t have a crazy-big wedding like our friends Ash and Rosemary?” Bobby asked her.
She shook her head. “A small party at the Wolfpack Tavern was just perfect for us. I know Uncle Jimmy would have gone all out for us if we had so much as hinted that we wanted something bigger, but that didn’t suit me.”
Bobby smiled as he stood and walked over to the bathroom, turning on a warm shower, then making his way back to the bed.
Pen studied him. “What are you smiling about?”
He raised his palms in an attempt to look innocent. “What? Can’t I smile at my wife?”
She lifted one eyebrow and propped herself up on her elbows. “You weren’t smiling at me. You were smiling at yourself. You have a secret.”
Bobby grunted, then reached down to hoist his mate in his arms. As he carried her to the shower, he muttered something about Pen’s mind-reading capabilities.
“That’s not a supernatural gift, you know. That’s the result of many years of friendship before becoming a couple. You can’t hide anything from me. Out with it.”
Bobby ignored Pen’s third degree but kept up the sly smiling as he set Pen down gently in the shower and eased the door shut.
Pen pouted. “I’m almost too big now to fit both of us in this shower stall.”
Bobby’s smile widened, but he said nothing. While chewing on his lip, he smoothed his mate’s hair away from her face as the water soaked her. Pen watched his face, waiting for some kind of hint as he gently lathered her body with the sponge.
Since the day they had finally admitted their feelings for each other, Pen had hardly once showered alone.
“I wouldn’t worry about both of us fitting in the shower. We can make it work,” he said.
Pen shook her head. “Still with that shit-eating grin. What is going on with you?”
Finally, he spilled it. “Jimmy’s giving us a house.”
Pen’s eyes widened. “What?”
Bobby explained that Jimmy Boudreaux had bought a house as soon as Ash and Rosemary informed him of their engagement, and he’d planned on giving the place to them. As it turned out, they decided to stay in Rosemary’s loft for the time being. Vann and GiGi didn’t need it. Gavin and Chastity are determined to start from scratch and build their own house. So now, Jimmy’s going to retire, move into that house, and giving the compound to us if we want it.”
Pen blinked. “He’s giving us the house and the grounds where we grew up together?”
Bobby nodded. “He wants to keep the property in the family and wants it to continue as a safe haven for shifters. Of any kind. Anyone who needs a place to go, to hide, to study how to control their wild side.”
She covered her face with her hands and bawled.
Bobby wrapped his mate up in his big, protective arms and tried to comfort her, though he felt confused. “I didn’t say yes. In case you don’t want it. But…I mean…it has a much bigger shower. As you know. Lots of bigger showers. Whatever you want. And if you don’t like it—”
Pen stood on her toes, reached up, and kissed her mate’s lips, trying to control her sobs.
“I love it. It’s too much,
