We’re slow to come apart, their kisses on my body extending our bliss. Griffin lays me against his chest while Cyrus adds more hot water to the bath.
“I love you, both of you.”
Cyrus leans forward, cups my chin, and brings me to him for a long, loving kiss that steals my breath.
“I love you.” Hazel eyes flicker with silver as the candlelight illuminates them. The way he looks at me with deep adulation captures my heart.
“We’ll always love you.” Griffin kisses the column of my neck, his hand caressing my side, the love in his touch lingering as goosebumps on my body.
Tears pool in my eyes at the sensuality and love they emit with every look and touch they give.
“I’m ready to snuggle in bed with all of you.”
“Do you need anything before we do?” Griffin asks.
“A snack and more water.”
Cyrus pulls the drain, and they help me out of the immense tub. I dry off and wrap a second, dry towel around me. After blow-drying my hair and putting on cute panties and a tank top, I go upstairs to our rooftop bedroom. It’s nice to find Emeric and Killian on the bed nude, laughing at each other’s jokes. I can see these two bonding like Cyrus and Griffin have. There’s room for me to lie between them. Emeric rubs my ass cheeks, and Killian lifts my chin to receive his kiss.
“Have fun, babe?” Emeric asks, squeezing my ass.
“I had an amazing night with all of you. Now I’m exhausted, ready to snuggle and fall asleep.”
Killian puts his arm out, and I lie on my side with my back to his chest. His rhythmic caress slips me into relaxation.
“How did it feel having both of us?”
“Glorious. I want you both again.”
Emeric is on his side, facing me, his right wingtip teasing the outside of my thigh. I rub his feathers and watch him close his eyes, indulging in it.
“Told you our kinky girl would enjoy it,” Emeric mutters.
Killian’s chest vibrates with laughter. “You did.”
I’m nearly ready to drift off when Griffin and Cyrus join us with fruit infused water, peanut butter covered bananas, and ice-cream. I perk up, sitting against Killian as Griffin fills a bowl with everything and hands it to me.
“This is perfect.”
The cool, creamy dessert melts on my tongue, and I moan as I lick the spoon. The guys look at me, and I laugh.
“Don’t even think about it. I’m worn out.”
The guys get their own bowls, and we devour the containers of ice-cream and topping. Empty dishes set aside, we all snuggle in the bed, limbs everywhere. Killian holds me the closest to him, the rhythm of his breathing and warm strokes lulling me to sleep.
CHAPTER SIX
PHOENIX
For the last three days and nights, I regretted what I said to Selene. She’s right. She didn’t get a choice in the prophecy any more than I did. She didn’t get a choice in the dangers that now surround her. It wasn’t acceptable to turn my rage and pain against her. Selene had no control over the death of Vivian, and I shouldn’t be punishing her for it. I have hope she’ll forgive me for how I treated her, but as much of a spitfire as she is, I know I’ll have to work hard for it.
My doorbell rings, and I pass my luggage sitting near the entrance to answer it. A long, black jacket whooshes behind my Uncle Kristo, followed by the aggressive tapping of my cousin Andrea’s stilettos. The last vampire in designer clothing walking through my door is my cousin, Leo, the only one who ventures a smile.
“It baffles me why you don’t have a butler.” Disrobing himself from his jacket, Kristo lays it over his arm.
Andrea flicks her long blond curls off her shoulder and crosses her legs as she takes a seat in my living room. Leo remains next to my uncle, his lips flat as if this conversation is already boring him. As twins, Andrea and Leo have similar features, the one difference is Leo has the traditional Artino raven hair while Andrea is a golden-haired siren. Having met Kristo’s late human wife years ago, there was no mistaking where it came from.
“I prefer the quiet and not having to explain my habits.”
Andrea smooths a hand over her dress. “Remember how Mr. Connelly lost his mind when you told him we were vampires, Father? Having to kill him was a waste. He was a diligent man, always attentive to my needs.”
Of course, it’s about her and not that an innocent man lost his life.
Kristo sighs, his eyes lifting toward his brows before his gaze falls back on me. He doesn’t bother to respond to her.
“Being my brother’s only son, I came to ensure your well-being. It’s a shame the Holy Accolades killed Vivian. She was a lovely vampire. You have my condolences.” The indifference in his voice is obvious. I’ve heard it all my life. “However, it leaves the opportunity for you to bond with the druid witch. Have you spent time with her since that horrible night?”
And there it is, the real reason he’s here. I don’t expect my shallow and self-serving uncle to actually care about how I feel.
“Is she pretty?” Andrea lifts a brow as she twists a curl around her finger. “Have you fucked her yet?”
All of them stare at me with interest as if it’s their business.
“She’s a stunning witch,” I emphasize, enjoying the way Andrea’s face morphs with jealousy. “Powerful as well.”
A smirk slashes Kristo’s cheek. “So, you have fucked her, then?”
“What I do, and when, is my business.”
Kristo clicks his tongue against his cheek. “It’s foolish of you to think that. What you do affects all of us, vampires and supernaturals.” He nods toward Leo. “It’s a shame my son
