thighs. "Are you okay? What's this, Skye? Whythe hiding?"

Skye shook his head. "I'mfine...I just can't. Look, I mean. Don't stop..."

The next thing Skye knew, Liamwas nipping along his jaw, and he could feel the curve of his lips. Liam was amused. Great.

"I don't think you want to hide from this, Skye. Openyour eyes."

Skye shook his head.

"Skye." Liam's tone was different again. Forceful. Demanding. Ridiculouslysexy. "Openyour eyes."

He did. He couldn't not...not with Liam making demands in that voice. Skye opened his eyes and peeked at Liam out of the corner of his eye. God, he was gorgeous. Why had he ever thought this was a good idea? He couldn't do it. Liam was too beautiful. Skye was so far from worthy, no matter how much he paid the man. This was absurd and he felt like anidiot.

"What's wrong? Tellme the truth, Skye."

Oh, he didn't want to. Not at all. Skye felt like he was back in high school, four years ahead of everyone else, the outcast because he was too young, too smart, too geeky, too...just nothing the rest of the kids were. He never had beenand he felt that acutelyright now.

"I...I want you, but..." He sighed, cheeks burning in shame. "I didn't anticipate the way it'd feel knowing you're here because of the money." Up until now it'd beenokay, a little weird, but Skye hadn't felt anyshame or embarrassment. But now, about to lose his virginity to a man he'd had to pay to do the job? He wanted to crawlinto a corner and hide.

Liam met his gaze steadily, then reached up and unknotted the curtain tie around Skye's wrist. Skye couldn't even begin to explain the crush of disappointment. Liam was going to leave now. Well, who could blame him?

But instead of moving off of him and leaving, Liam stayed right where he was, nestled between Skye's thighs with an authoritative and possessive look on his

face."Is that whyyouthink I'mhere?"

Skye's brows shot up. "Why else would you be here?"

Liam's lips curved. "I'mnot some two-dollar whore down on Fremont with a pimp threatening to beat me up if I don't make enough money, Skye. I answer only to myself. If I didn't want to be here, regardless of how much you offered, I wouldn't be." He slid his fingers through Skye's hair. "I can say no, darlin'. I don't want

to."Skye hadn't thought of that. Sure, Skye had hired

him, but Liamhadn't had to accept. He could have said no and gone to take another job with someone he liked more, found more attractive, whatever. "I suppose. I...still...it's strange."

Liamnodded. "I realize that. Do you want to stop?" Skye was surprised to see disappointment in Liam's eyes. Would he really mind if it ended? Why? "You don't?"

Liamlet out a laugh. "Want to stop? Hell, no. What I want is to tie youback up, or maybe not, and have the honor of being your first. Your second. However many times I'mluckyenoughto get."

God, he sounded very sincere. Skye hadn't expected that at all. "Why?"

"Because you asked me to. Because I want to. Because I've had more fun with you since we met than I've had with anybody in a long time. I like you. I want you. I'llunderstand ifit's too weird for you, though."

Skye wondered ifthis happened a lot. People hiring him, getting to a certain point and then chickening out. God, he hated that phrase. He wasn't a coward. And if Liammeant it...but why would he lie? Skye doubted his money was anything Liam couldn't make in a snap of the fingers if he wanted to. No doubt he would have "dates" lined up before he ever made it to his car if Skye told himto leave.

A surge of jealousy reared up inside him. What a silly thing to be jealous over Liam, who did this for a living. But there it was, silly or not. Skye shook his head, arms slidingaround Liam's strongshoulders.

"No. Stay. I just...I like you, too. More than I thought I would. It's unexpected." He shrugged sheepishly. "I don't...handle unexpected verywell."

Liam let out a relieved laugh. "Yeah, I get that feeling. Think you can handle just a little more unexpected?"

Skye smiled, a little wary. "Maybe...like what?"

Liam shook his head. "Not right now. I'm just saying--I'm going to give you unexpected. Because I think you aren't nearly as 'well-prepared' for this little socialexperiment as youthought youwere."

Sometimes Liam said things that made Skye wonder why someone so smart had chosen this line of work. Not that he wasn't glad because it'd led Liam here, but it pricked Skye's curiosity in a way that...well, it was unexpected. AllofLiamwas, really.

"I think I can handle it. I think I want to handle

you."Liamresponded with a deep, dark kiss, both hands

sliding into Skye's hair to hold himfor it, tilting his head just the way Liam wanted. It was powerful and domineering, and Skye fucking loved it. He wrapped his legs around Liam's waist and arched beneath him. More. Oh, he wanted more.

He tried to say so, but the kiss was too all consuming for his needy words to come out as more than frantic whimpers and muffled moans. Which, luckily, seemed to get the point across because the next thing he knew Liam's fingers were back, rubbing and strokingand nudginghis slipperyentrance.

It felt very strange, but deliciously so. It made Skye want more, want those probing fingers in him, deep inside. Liam broke the kiss just in time for Skye to say

so."Please...Sir, please, more? I--" He cut off with a

moan as one finger did exactly what he wanted--sank inside him.

Ohhhh...what a strange feeling. He squirmed a little, and Liamstopped withjust a shallow penetration.

"Okay, darlin'?"

Skye nodded, then lifted his head to bite Liam's lower lip. "Yes...don't stop, please."
