Brian made a firm decision, “Yes,” he said.
“Very well,” the Chaos Void spoke and laughed eerily.
After a couple of minutes, Brian’s blood cells began to evolve and develop into super cells, that began to spread around his veins and throughout his body. Brian groaned in immense pain for the next couple of minutes, as his evolving powers started to come into play, due to the immersing pain ending, he punched the garage floor angrily which impacted a crack in the concrete base of the garage, causing all of the boxes of stuff to fly around the garage in a shockwave. Brian began to test his abilities a bit more and made sure not to make too much noise in the garage, he punched the hard brick concrete wall which resulted in a crack across the garage, but luckily, he did not use his full strength on it. He was beginning to smile, as he demonstrated his powers, but wanted to give them the ultimate test the following day.
“You’re next Alves,” Brian said eerily and happily.
Chapter 10
Abnormal School Day
Date: September 10th, 2020
Early morning, about an hour before school was to begin, it was approximately 7:30 am in the early morning, as Aiden, Luis, Allison, Veronica and Trixie gathered around in the trails nearby their neighborhood and secondary school. They had decided to meet up, after they texted each other and could not handle the intensity of their powers and abilities last night. They stood nervously in a circle formation in the trails, discussing with each other.
“What do we do, what the heck do we do?” Trixie stammered nervously.
“Let me think,” Aiden spoke. “So, all of you guys just simply woke up from fainting or going unconscious or whatever, then you simply woke up with abilities?”
“Yes,” the four of them exclaimed at the same time. Aiden sighed.
“Not just that,” Luis interrupted. “We just had the worst days of our lives; these dumb abilities have intervened with our lives so much. It ruined my chances of winning my archery tournament yesterday. Did anyone else’s day just get ruined?”
“Yes,” Veronica spoke out loud. “Almost froze up the entire lake in the woods. Used up all the hot water in my household, still isn’t helping, also had to cut all of my strands of hair, which made me furious.”
“I tried to dye with Mom’s hair dye, but it had no effect at all,” Trixie said sadly. “I don’t know what to do with everyone looking at me like this.”
“I manipulated a kid’s mind by accident with my thoughts,” Allison said to the others.
There was a moment of silence since Aiden did not speak about his experience. Luis and the others looked at him curiously, “What happened man?” Luis asked desperately.
Aiden sighed, “There is something that I need to reveal to you guys about my past.”
They all stood there in silence and nodded, waiting for him to respond.
“My father has abused me since I was a kid and my mother too. I have beaten up my father using my hidden attack abilities, since he was threatening Mom yesterday,” Aiden spoke the truth finally to his friends.
The four of them looked at him, they were deeply sorry to hear that. “You should have told us about this sooner, we are here for you every inch of the way,” Allison spoke in comforting tone.
“Sorry to hear that man,” Luis said. “I really hope your mother is okay.”
“She’s fine,” Aiden said. “I hope. But what the hell are we gonna do about our abilities? Does everyone know their abilities and what they are capable of? One by one, let us all discuss, then together we can mitigate the problem of that ability as much as possible.”
“That’s a great idea!” Veronica agreed. “I will go first. My abilities are all ice formation based, but I have no idea how to control it. My feet and hands have always been feeling numb in the past day, my hair as I said before became icicles, so I had to cut my hair forcefully unfortunately. I don’t know how to control the temperature of my body; I end up freezing the ground beneath me or the surrounding environment I am in.”
“Alright,” Aiden spoke aloud. “That’s a good start. I am not sure how to mitigate your problem, but Allison might be able to. Allison, you can imagine any scenario in your mind, correct?”
She nodded. Aiden continued; “If Veronica’s cold or icy temperature or powers get out of control, is it possible for you to imagine a hot environment?”
“I can try,” Allison explained. “I am sure its possible. But I am not sure how to stop my imagination from merging with the world. Every time I am imagining or even having normal thoughts, everything I think appears around me. It has been bugging me for the past day, I can’t go anywhere in peace without these thoughts everywhere around me.”
Aiden did not know how to answer that question. Luis intervened; “Think of something ridiculously small, like crumbles of a cookie, pebbles, or even atoms, so it would not be as noticeable. I don’t know if my suggestion would work, but it’s worth a try.”
“I think that would work,” Allison agreed. “Aiden what is your ability, do you have a solution to resolve it?”
“My abilities are a bit overaccentuated and complicated,” he responded wearily. “I have invisibility, even with my clothes going invisible. Also, I do not know when my hidden attacks happen, I can even attack through phase able objects, through the wall or furniture for example. I can’t control my invisibility even
