“Oh, yes!” she cried out in reply, her fingers working faster now as she bounced harder on his
pumping hips. “Ivan, I’m gonna…”
She came. It slammed into her like a torpedo had landed against her back, throwing her forward
across Ivan’s chest. Groaning loudly, he clasped her to him as he continued to pound into her. Her hips moved with no control from her; it was like having an outer-body experience because she could feel her body still responding though she was already on another plane of reality.
Olivia wasn’t so deep into oblivion that she didn’t feel the massive shock of Ivan slamming so
powerfully into her as he started to fill her womb with cum. Olivia heard a cry from afar off and only minutes later did she realize it came from her. It was a long time before their bodies stopped moving, and even longer before their heart rate returned to a normal, restful beat. Olivia buried her face in the space within Ivan’s broad shoulder and simply reveled in the aftermath of their splendid coupling.
Chapter Twenty-One
“Only one more thing left to do,” Ivan announced much, much later when they were snuggled
beneath clean sheets, fresh from their shared shower which had involved one sensual, satisfying
quickie. Olivia gazed up at him from where her head lay upon his chest.
“I thought we’ve covered everything.”
“Well, there’s still your parents and how I’m going to break it to them that I’ll require their
daughter’s hand in marriage.”
Olivia froze; the only thing still moving was her accelerating heart. “What?”
His hands were stroking tenderly over her hair. “Like I said, I was never pegged down for
anything long term. But you…you get a man seeing into the future, and how good it can be to have a wife, and kids. A real home of my own.”
“But Ivan…your work.”
He shrugged. “I’ve been given a load of time off to really recuperate from the last mission.
Maybe in that period I’ll figure out what I want to do. I can simply retire into the normal field work if I choose not to remain an active Marine out on duty. Or I could go into local or federal law
enforcement. But then I could easily just become some kind of private contractor for the government and work in the Middle East or something.”
Olivia squirmed, not sure she was happy about that option but still smiling despite herself.
Something told her that no matter what he did if he chose to leave the Marines, he’d find a way to continue to be some sort of “bad ass.”
“I want so much to be your wife and have your kids,” she finally whispered, planting her hand
on his broad chest and smoothing lovingly over the ridge of firm muscle.
“That’s done then. Proposal made and accepted,” Ivan said quickly, a deep rumble of laughter
making his chest heave. “Was a bit worried about that part.”
“You thought I’d say no?” Olivia asked, glancing up into his handsome face. “As if! This is all
I’ve wanted forever. To be Mrs. Ivan Lance. Now all I need to make sure of is that Molly is shipped out of the picture for good.”
“She’s gone,” he said promptly. “Trust me. This time, I returned to the news that she’s run off
with some rock star type guy who just left his wife for her. Guess she’ll be having all the drama she didn’t seem to get with dating me. Good riddance.” He smirked, and got an elbow in the side. “Ow!”
Despite herself, Olivia was smiling. “I just want it to be you and me,” she said quietly, her eyes sober as they lifted to hold his.
Equally serious, Ivan replied with heart-felt promise, “That’s all we’ll ever need, baby.
There’s not a doubt in my mind that with you is where my heart belongs. Forever. Just you and me
little dove. Forever.”
