Yes,
Last night I was confirmed that I must never hope for anything good to happen to me. I must not dare to expect fate to show mercy on me. And the only thing was left for me to do, was to let the darkness invade my already hopeless life, forever, and I should never complain.
I kept asking the same question throughout the night all over again.
Why me?
What sin did I do?
But there was no one to answer.
The phone kept ringing with its irritating tone without any intention to stop, not until I pick up. Even though I was not feeling like doing anything, I was almost forced to receive the call, only to get myself some peace early in the morning, which I was looking for the whole night but failing each time pathetically.
“Hello!” Without bothering to look who was calling me at such early hours, I picked up the call.
“What hello? Where the hell are you?” The voice at the other end of the call started shouting like an idiot with no reason at all. And I didn't need any hint to know who it could be. Obviously kaith, or who else?
But the main question was that why was he yelling at me now when I didn't do anything at all?
“I am at the moon, and walking around with the goddess. She is showing me her lands.” I answered with no sense, quite annoyingly, for his such nonsense questions.
But I had never expected him to say the dumbest thing ever.
“What? When? How did you go there? Is it even possible? Sam?” Yes, he believed my words and started to freak out.
Tsk.
I can't believe someone like him could be this stupid.
“I am at home, you idiot. Now stop annoying me.” I had no choice but to answer clearly for the sake of my friend to make him understand the simplest thing without any difficulty.
“What? Then why couldn't I see your bike a while ago when I went there? I thought you went out again last night and didn't bother to come back. Wait. I am coming back then.” He hung up the call quickly, leaving me all worried to think out a way to deal with the mess that I had created without much of my consciousness.
Shit.
How could I even forget?
Yes, there is no doubt left anymore that I am the stupid one, not him.
Well, let me tell you what else happened last night.
****flashbacks****
Just when I saw all my suspicions about my mysterious mate becoming true bit by a bit, I started running away from him without even looking back for a single time, cause I knew, if I look back this time I might never be able to escape those captivating eyes ever. But little did I know that my attempts will be all futile.
Because, just as he promised, he didn't leave me at all, last night, and followed me everywhere just like a shadow.
No, he didn't stop me from running, neither did he tried to catch me up this time, instead, he just stayed behind all the time without a complaint. And at last, when I realised that no matter how much I try, he was not going to leave my side ever, I stopped. And only then, he came to me only to let our furs submerge into one another.
He took his time to acknowledge my wolf as he kept fondling my body with his own. I heard him purring ever so softly under his breaths while he could not afford to detach himself from me again.
Under the dark night sky, we were standing as one complete soul. Yes, I was his other half of the soul while he was mine.
And thus, I could not escape.
In the end, I found myself already captivated.
Later that night, I returned to the same dark alley to shift back, and my mate did follow just as before.
One thing I had realised very clearly last night, that there was no such question ever made for me, like, if I could accept my fate or not. In fact, I didn't have a say at all.
I put on my clothes as soon as possible right after I shifted back, without giving my mate much time to start his perverted acts once again. And he did the same as well.
“You are beautiful mate.” As soon as he was done wearing all of his clothes, mate hugged me from behind only to say the words in my ears, letting me feel a thousand of tingles at once.
“No. I am not. I am just like a shadow. The darkest one.” I replied without even realising that he was no different from me.
“You know, a shadow is one such thing which proves that you are very real...it proves that you exist. And also, the darker the shadow, the brighter place you are in. So, I am very happy that you are the darkest one. I could not imagine my mate's wolf to be any better than yours. You are just perfect.
You are perfect for me.” His words were like magic. I have never expected anyone to say such things to me.
But then again, how could he stop there only after saying a few good things, and doing nothing to prove himself to be the exact opposite?
No, he just couldn't.
So, he trailed his hand down carefully and stopped on my hips, to say,
“And you are soft too.” With the words,
