I placed my hands on the wall for leverage and rode him hard, bouncing on him until I screamed in pleasure. Without a word, he tossed me onto my back and then flipped me back over. Positioning me so that my hands were in the same place on the wall as they had been, he got behind me. His cock penetrated deep inside me, and I groaned heavily. Each thrust only seemed to make me want him more.
“Harder,” I cried as he pounded into me. He needed little encouragement. One hand tangled in my hair and tugged hard enough to create the sensation of pain but not enough to actually hurt. It sent a thrill down my spine, and I leaned into the overwhelming pleasure of the moment. His other hand wrapped hard around my hip and pulled me back into him with each thrust.
I could hear my voice spilling out of my lips, one long continuous stream of sound, punctuated by each thrust. His grip got tighter, and I knew he was about to come. Just knowing that made me slicker, and the tension built in me as well. The wave crashed over me in a moment of intense, passionate, and explosive climax, and I screamed out his name. He roared in response and exploded into me, pulling me as fully over him as possible so he penetrated me so deep he pressed against my back wall. He filled me until he was empty, and then we collapsed into the bed together, kissing the sweat from each other’s chest and trying to catch our breath.

I was back in Portland, and Matt was exactly how he was last time. Bitching and moaning and kicking boxes, he was in rare form. I didn’t particularly care, though. Nothing was going to get my mind off Hannah. She permeated every single thought I had. Every time I closed my eyes, I could see her face. Every time I took a deep breath, I could smell her perfume. Sometimes I could feel the tingling sensation of her lips having just been pressed to mine. It was distracting, but in the best of ways.
Matt cursed as he dropped a box with a blender in it and began to complain loudly that it was a sign of his situation. He tried making some sort of complicated analogy, but I only paid attention to part of it before giving up and focusing on retubing the taps. It was one of the last bits we needed to do behind the bar, and the guys were coming later in the day to pressurize them.
I wished Hannah had come with me, but I understood why she didn’t. Still, we were opening that weekend, and on top of the joy of just having her in my arms every night, we could have used an extra experienced hand on the floor and someone to train the new staff. As it was, that job was going to fall on me, since Matt was next to useless with other people at the moment.
There was still a lot of work to do before opening, including training the new hires that Matt had approved of. I could only imagine the interview process. He had come up a day before me to take care of them, and I shuddered to think what they must have thought being introduced to surly, bitchy Matt. At least I would train them, and they would get to see not everyone here was a man-child.
Still, with so much to do, I needed to get Hannah off my mind long enough to get things done. But every time I would get into any rhythm like wiping circles on a table or using a screwdriver on one of the chairs to tighten up the legs, my mind would wander in the monotony and end up back with Hannah. Hannah in bed. Hannah painting the mural. Hannah waiting tables. Just Hannah, everywhere, at every time, with no break.
Finally, I decided to end the madness and just call her. Taking a break from Matt and being in his negative presence, I walked into the office and sat down. It was mostly ready back there, all the neat stuff kept and organized, junk tossed. I’d asked Tom to get a new desk in there with a new chair, and he went all out, getting a really nice mahogany desk with a state-of-the-art desktop placed on it. It was going to make doing all the paperwork easier, as well as anything else we needed to do.
I opened my phone and hit her contact info. There was a click on the first ring.
“Hello?”
“Hey, you,” I said.
“Hey,” she repeated.
“I got a bit of a break, and I thought I’d call you. How is your day?”
“It’s been fine.” There was something off in her voice, but I didn’t want to push it. If it was important, I was sure she would tell me eventually. She liked to have a little time to work things out.
“Well, good,” I said. “I didn’t have a bunch of time, but I wanted you to know that Matt and I are going to go do some research on the other bars in the area tonight. We might be a little late getting back, but I’ll text you.”
“Okay,” she said. “Have fun. I’ve to go.”
“Okay. Bye.”
“Bye.” The line clicked, and I sat there looking at my phone for a moment in confusion.
“That was weird,” I said to myself. Shrugging, I slid the phone back in my pocket and went back to work.
“The Jail Cell,” I said, reading the sign.
“Yup,” Matt said. “It used to be an old jail. The upper floors are apartments now.”
“Old jail cells?” I asked. “As apartments?”
“No, only the bottom floor were jails. The upper floors were offices,” he said. “Now they’re apartments. Come on, let’s get something to drink.”
We stepped inside, and the darkness consumed us. The bar was one of
