“Veronica!” Allison cried frantically. She was nowhere in sight as Allison and the others looked around, they were worried that she got hurt and were wondering where she was. But after half a minute, she soared up from the Upper Bay with an ice slide and arrived in safety.
“Thank God, you are alive!” Luis exclaimed. “Glad no one got hurt.”
“I’m fine guys,” Veronica said. “But whatever that was in the sky, we gotta stop more of these attacks.”
“You mean the spaceship?” Allison asked.
“Its not just that,” Veronica said. “I think that was a person flying in the sky, who sliced through that small spaceship. Whoever that was, must have been a Stellar-Being by the looks of it, but not sure if that person came out of the portal along with those spaceships.”
“Whatever is going on,” Aiden spoke firmly. “We gotta investigate on what the hell is going on here. How these spaceships just suddenly appeared out of nowhere. I honestly can’t wait for the government’s weather balloon excuse later on.”
The ice cyclone structure along with its ice fillings began to collapse around Liberty Island since the ice sheets of Veronica’s or the innards by Allison did not last long. As the pieces of the ice structure began to land back in the Upper Bay, the water splashed a lot towards the edges of Liberty Island, causing the three to get wet almost entirely, except for Veronica who just froze the water particles and transformed them to ice bits and shook them off.
“Did not ask for this!” Luis complained while his lower self was drenched, as the four witnessed more of those Sparrow spaceships along with other types of spaceships that had cargo like units about to land onto Liberty Island and Manhattan itself. The people on Liberty Island all ran back to the Ferry boat, as they were escaping away. The cargo units landed onto Liberty Island, along with Sparrow ships as the four timidly stood their ground looking at it from a distance away.
“What the hell is this?” Luis asked in a serious tone. “Aliens?”
“I hope not,” Veronica spoke as she prepared her ice powers.
The Sparrows and cargo units opened revealing futuristic soldiers who had black and white armor, that was glossy and metallic. They were armed with plasma rifles, taser guns, electric and plasmatic grenades, etc. The soldiers began to approach the four as the people on Liberty Island on the Ferry began to flee the scene due to panic and danger.
“Not aliens? Damn it!” Luis complained. “I guess futuristic soldiers now.”
“What do we do now?” Allison asked.
“What we are meant to do…” Aiden spoke as he activated his invisibility in front of the others, as they prepped themselves. Luis started to hold out his sword and halberd bows from his hidden arsenal, as Allison and Veronica stood their ground staring at the army of futuristic soldiers that were coming towards them for an attack.
As plasma pistols, rifles and shock blasts began to shoot towards them, Luis ran as he used his full thrust and strength of his arms, to smack the soldier with his samurai sword (back from his samurai sword collection at home). The sword barely damaged the soldier as Luis stared at him, knowing that he had to fight more strategically against them. The battle waged on as Veronica unleashed her freezing powers to freeze a squadron of soldiers heading towards them, with the essences of her icicle powers waving through the air from the tips of her fingers.
As she maneuvered the ice essences of her powers, she began to form ice beneath her feet as it went underneath the squadron of soldiers. Ice cubes began to form around them slowly. Luis began switching weapons between his swords, knives, arrows, halberd, adaptive weaponry he started to create with abilities. Allison began to imagine wired steel cages around the soldiers, as it slowly appeared from the figment of her imaginative abilities, which slowly began to enclose more of the soldiers.
“Phew!” Allison spoke aloud as she saw suddenly a couple of seconds later that they blasted their way through with heavy plasmatic setting on their rifles out of the steel wired cages, as she screamed when a plasma blast came towards her. Veronica raised up a mini-ice wall in front of Allison, to defend her from the plasmatic blasts. Luckily, it did hold them off as Allison fled a distance away. The blasts penetrated through Veronica’s ice wall bit by bit, with the plasmatic heated blasts melting it with convection energy.
As the ice wall was melting, Luis got smacked across the ground a few feet away while trying to do hand to hand combat with one of the soldiers. Aiden came to his aid as that soldier was raising up his rifle towards Luis to stun him, but a hard punch came across the futuristic militant along with a hidden attack from the ground. Aiden’s hidden attacks involved sharp objects coming out of the ground or his own fists through phase able objects. The soldier’s head was smashed, as it got dented enough to show it was not human as Aiden turned off his invisibility and witnessed the soldier was AI.
“These are neither aliens nor people!” Aiden spoke aloud.
“Then what are they?” Luis asked desperately.
“They’re machine, give all you got guys!” Aiden said as the other three began to attack with all of their might and courage, but this time with no fear. At first, they thought it was lifeforms of aliens or other human beings, so they were afraid to hurt them, since they were afraid of killing. The four battled on as more squadrons of these futuristic soldiers continued to invade Manhattan and Liberty Island, as the giant tri-needle tower initiated its first seismic wave nearby Times Square in the meantime.
