place like this?ā€ he asked, showing his teeth in a lecherous smirk. And still, it wasnā€™t a turn off.

Darn her hormones!

Soph shook her head, she didnā€™t know how to answer him! Without her paper, or her voice, she couldnā€™t do anything! The man even held her hands down, so she couldnā€™t even try sign language.

But maybeā€¦Sophie flexed her hand until her middle finger came into contact with his hand. She could barely reach, he was gripping her wrist, but it would have to do.  Once that contact was made, she managed to trace out some letters. I AM MUTE. NEED TO GE- but she didnā€™t get to finish because the man just chuckled and pressed his body close to hers.

Now his face was just inches from her, his breath minty fresh.

ā€œComing onto me, huh? Well, thatā€™ll have to wait, baby. We have to get out of here before the Lesser comes back. Heā€™s just a scout. You donā€™t want him to bring in his buddies. Butā€¦ once we get to a safer place, how ā€˜bout I do some caressing, huh?ā€ the wiggle of his eyebrows was suggestive. And might have been funny, if his eyes werenā€™t burning up.

Oh, and if she couldnā€™t feel something hardening against her leg.

Damn! She hadnā€™t been flirting with him! How could he think that? Okay, so he didnā€™t know that she was mute. He couldnā€™t know that she was drawing letters. But still. If ignorance wasnā€™t an excuse in court, she wouldnā€™t let it excuse his behaviour either.

So, she showed him what she thought the only way she could. With a glare.

Oh, she understood what he was saying. They needed to go. For whatever reason, he seemed to be helping her. But it still didnā€™t sit well. This guy could be a Human. He could also be something else. They were in Hell and Demons were known to trick people.

But, this guy spoke English, even if it did have a slight accent. Did he know that was what she spokeā€¦ er understood? And if so, how?

All she knew was that she would feel a lot better with her gun. So when he let her up, she immediately went for her pack. Again.

She was ready, waiting, to be tackled again. She didnā€™t lunge for the bag, simply moved towards it. But he didnā€™t take her down.

Instead, she felt him grab her wrist. When had he gotten so close? She had moved a few feet away, but he stood right behind her, his armor slowly leaning into her back.

ā€œReally? Didnā€™t we cover this? I thought that you had understood me. You were quiet when I ordered. But maybe you donā€™t speak English. Hmm.ā€ He said, as if he was mulling it over. At the same time, he angled his body more in line with hers, pressing his pelvis against her butt.

ā€œNice.ā€ He whispered, before wrapping his arm, and hers, around her. ā€œYouā€™re going to have to follow directions. Deja la bolsa. Tenemos que irnos, ahora.ā€ Because her father taught her Spanish, she knew that the guy had said to forget the pack and that they had to leave. But no matter what language he spoke. She wouldnā€™t be able to respond.

No, a car accident six years ago stole that ability from her. And there was nothing she could do about it.

She shook her head, which just rasped against his facial hairā€”Oh gosh, did that ever feel erotic!ā€”but that didnā€™t seem to be enough.

ā€œOh come on! You can ignore me all you like. Oh hell, no you canā€™t! I will prove to you how persistent I can be. But at a later time! You donā€™t want to see what else could be coming. And really, I canā€™t fight them if Iā€™m worried about your sweet behind!ā€

Sweet? Gosh! He obviously had been missing female company for a while!

Her butt was too big, it always took up way too much room in her jeans. Not that the rest of her was small either. She had always been a little chubby. Her father used to call her his little Chunky-monkey, while Annie was well, slightly thinnerā€”she did play sports after all. For this personā€”Demon?ā€”to think she was attractive was like some cosmic joke. At her expense.

Soph shook her head again and nodded to the pack. She needed to get her stuff. He couldnā€™t leave it! Not only did it have her weapons, but it also contained some of her favorite things. There was a locket that Annie gave her on their 16th birthday. The picture of her family. And a few other objects that she treasured. She couldnā€™t just leave them.

She wouldnā€™t!

Sophie struggled, pulling against his arm. But it was no use. The guy was strong! Effing strong! And all she seemed to do was make him mad.

ā€œArenā€™t you a brat? Trying to top from the bottom, huh? Well, if we werenā€™t in the Outer, Iā€™d spank your ass until it turned red.ā€

Sophie gasped. Heck, she would have whimpered and for once she was happy that she had no vocal-cords. This way, she could keep that needy sound to herself. But she felt her body respond anyways. A tight liquid clench in her tummy. One sheā€™d never have imagined sheā€™d feel at the thought of smacks on her bottom!

ā€œToo late.ā€ The voice growled in her ear.

Well, that sounded ominous. Was he really planning on spanking her?

Sophie looked over her shoulder, turning slightly so that she could see. And, she had wished she hadnā€™t.

Beyond him the darkness was alive. Or at least, things in the darkness were. Beings seemed to spring from the blackness, scurrying forward towards the light. They werenā€™t just on the ground. No, they clung to the walls like insects, pulling their misshapen bodies forward. These werenā€™t the same things as the little creature before. No, these were worse.

Their
