of sorcery, hoping to forever be as trueto herself and the good ways of magic as Aleeria herselfhad always seemed.

Tinspar, who had lingered around the land for afew weeks, finally returned to his marshy stompinggrounds of the swamplands. He was honored, knowingthat he would be going back to his home with a magicalpiece of Anvil attached to his own body!

Aleeria, the once lonely apparition who hadfound herself a group of very special souls over thecourse of two spirited adventures, had finally beeninvited to join the enlightened spirits of the realm. Thegreat spirits had been most grateful with her support inridding the realm of the dark witches and their evilways of sorcery.

With heartfelt goodbyes and fond farewells toWill, Tinspar, Jonathon, Haley, and of course, Tabitha—the special souls she would forever be proud to call herfriends—Aleeria vanished beyond the real world of therealm in a blue and purple, ghostly haze.

Will had stuck around the land for some time, enjoying the company of his dear old friends, Sonnyand Kelsey, eventually wandering off into the wilds.

He wanted to get back to his

roots

, so he had toldthem.

~ EPILOGUE

Many months later, Sonny had wandered into thewilds with his kids, Tabitha and Jonathon, and their twogiant hound dogs. He had been taking them all out fora bit of fishing. It was at this time that a remarkablediscovery had been made…

While the teens were off fishing in some of theice-covered ponds, Sonny had strolled off with his dogsto seek out a quieter place to fish. But the dogs hadstarted acting funny, poking their noses into some of theicy brush at the edge of a pond. When Sonny went toinvestigate, he had found that the two hounds weredigging up a round-metal object that had been partiallyburied under the ice.

There was no mistaking what they had found—itwas Anvil! The little robot had a large burn mark onone side of its iron body, and its four metal limbs hadbeen twisted badly.

After the lifeless robot was removed from the icypond, Tabitha and Jonathon had persuaded Sonny totravel further into the wilds: they hoped they mightencounter Will somewhere along a familiar river thatSonny had once traveled upon as a kid; and where hehad first encountered the old blacksmith. There theycould deliver the robot-droid back into the hands of itscreator.

As fate would have it, they had found Will! Hehad returned to living in an old, hollow tree along thebanks of the river. It was a tree he had once lived inyears before, and where Sonny figured he would mostlikely be. Will had been overwhelmed that Anvil hadbeen found, and he wept with joy.

They had all come to the conclusion, afterexamining the robot, that it had been carried into thewilds by a lightning bolt at the time of the destructionof the witch—the burn mark on its side was one of asevere lightning strike.

“Well, don’t that just beat all!“ Will had saidgleefully. “The realm spirits must have lifted him outof the witch’s belly as she was being destroyed, andthen flung his body way out into these here wilds!”

“Reminds me of the old days!” Sonny hadreplied, reflecting back to his first discovery of Anvil.

“I think it’s the berries!” Tabitha had exclaimed.

They all had a good laugh. Then, having hadsaid their goodbyes, they left old Will and Anvil inpeace.

Will had eventually rewired the robot, and hadeven re-forged its iron-plated body as best as he could.Anvil had sputtered into life with a great whistle—hismagical soul had returned!

On one of the little robot’s side panels, Will hadetched three simple words:Never Abandon Hope.
