me
but I have been given a new task

protect those I care about
the only way I know how
fighting till the very end
no support from the crowd

in your time of desperate need
I'm the one you will look to
the one you will see
I’ll be the only one who can get you through
come and let me save you

hold onto me as the darkness comes
keep holding tight
as the waves of your enemies charge
on into the night

the fight wages on
I swear to protect you
until the battles won
or I can’t carry through

there’s no way I’ll ever give up
I’ll fight for what I care about
without letting hate take me
and it forcing me down the wrong route

Remedy for the Soul

He holds the blade to his arm
she tries in vain to reach calm
all alone they will find
with each scar- a new design

where do we find it, I don’t know
there is a memory, of a place so cold
now we go to the source of the remedy
its inside your soul

running away, but you cannot hide
running from fear, i don’t feel alive
hiding the truth, all you can see are lies
the designs running down- all crimson lines

how do we reach it, you have to open up
its lost it translation, making me so numb
this can’t be a remedy, when it hurts me more
go and find it, the remedy for the soul

the crimson stain, no sweet reward
the loneliness, makes the world so cold
a soul so cold, can’t make its own warmth
come with me and we will see

remedy for the soul

I Wanted

I wanted to write
just one more song
I wanted to say
that I was wrong
I wanted to tell you
how much it’s hurt
since you’ve been gone

I wanted you to give
me another chance
I wanted to see
you for one more dance
I can’t believe that
I couldn’t see
that you were my best romance

I wanted to know
what I have done
that made you leave
me for someone
and got me wanting
a chance to show you
that I could be the one

I just wanted this to be
the last song
you heard from me
I wanted to leave you breathless
and missing me
before you just were gone

Mortal

Drunks on the road
athletes in the game
soldiers in a war
racers on the track
all seem to think that
they are immortal

Our lives have become
repetitive day after day
our sense of our feeble lives
melts away into nothingness
the fact that in a second we could be gone
never even registers

The world doesn’t acknowledge
its own mortality
it seems we think that
we’ve become invincible
but in the blink of an eye
WE CAN LOSE IT ALL

Falling apart
losing myself
falling into
nothingness
waging a war
against myself

Bitter till the end
fighting to the death
fighting for my life
can’t find myself
hiding from pain
shielding off strife

What do you have left to lose
when who’s taking it all from you
are the people who should care the most
in this cycle of pain
that doesn’t seem to have an end
THIS IS NEVER ALRIGHT

I cannot hide
I cannot run
you will not win
I cannot lose
the lines have been drawn
the pieces are moving

Drunks on the road
athletes in the game
soldiers in a war
racers on the track
all seem to think that
they are immortal

Find Your Wings

Find your wings
in the night
in the dark
out of fright

Leave this place
can’t you see
that it stops
who you want to be

It's your gift
clean to it
and it will save
you from this

In the dark
we will all
find the thing
to stop our fall

Pages

My story’s never finished,
it has just begun,
pages full of memories,
a past i'd like to burn,
turn the pages quickly,
we can make the next our own,
cause without you in it,
this book of life,
like any house,
just is not a home.

Thanks

I’m either finding myself
Or wasting my time
Fighting and fighting
Just to find a rhyme
To this crazy life
Losing all my rhythm
I couldn’t figure out
What to do without them
My tried and true
The ones that stand beside me
And never let me fall
They always make me see
Worth in myself
And a meaning in this life
They give me a chance to fight
And hold back all my strife
So, just once I’d like to say
Before I say goodbye
Thank you for being there
Without you, I wouldn’t be alive.

Widow-maker

Separate yourself from
The anxiety of every day
The common angst
Of modern-day society

Losing patience slowly
Drifting ever into darkness
Stripped of all our moral value
And the losing of our minds

Giving way to temptation
That foul and treacherous snake
The path has become far less certain
Now that the hour is late

Passion leads to downfall
A cold and lonely death
And in the night you ponder
What, if anything is left

The person you once were is gone
Lost to the deserted sands of time
The hourglass now presses upon you
And your last gasp unwinds

Giving under the constant strain
Even the strongest of walls collapse
Enter the last corners of your mind
The ones that kept the light out

In the shadow, there you lay
Like a life-form, derived from clay
A new mindset you’ve developed
In shadows, waiting, is your widow-maker
