you have put all things under his feet,
Consider that the Hebrew term used for “Heavenly Beings which is elohiym which is to say God this term is akin to theos used in John 10: 34 and 35.
Now carefully consider this Scripture:
2:1 So if there is any encouragement in Christ, any comfort from love, any participation in the Spirit, any affection and sympathy, 2 complete my joy by being of the same mind, having the same love, being in full accord and of one mind. 3 Do nothing from rivalry or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. 4 Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others. 5 Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus, [1] 6 who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped,
One with Source
When we choose to dwell, abide and set our mind on the things of the Spirit and choose to dwell and Abide in God – Our Source – and allow Him to dwell in us and come to the full knowledge of what Jesus has done for us and that He and God are one and that He dwells in us, then we can understand that we are in, of and One with God, The Divine Source.
Jesus told the Jew in John 10 that he had dome many works in the name of the Father, not just because He was here to do God’s will but because He and God were one and the same.
Folks neither the Jews nor His disciples got this John recount as much in the follow escerpt:
14:1 “Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me. 2 In my Father's house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also. 4 And you know the way to where I am going.” ] 5 Thomas said to him, “Lord, we do not know where you are going. How can we know the way?” 6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. 7 If you had known me, you would have known my Father also. From now on you do know him and have seen him.”
8 Philip said to him, “Lord, show us the Father, and it is enough for us.” 9 Jesus said to him, “Have I been with you so long, and you still do not know me, Philip? Whoever has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, ‘Show us the Father’? 10 Do you not believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me? The words that I say to you I do not speak on my own authority, but the Father who dwells in me does his works. 11 Believe me that I am in the Father and the Father is in me, or else believe on account of the works themselves.
12 “Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever believes in me will also do the works that I do; and greater works than these will he do, because I am going to the Father. 13 Whatever you ask in my name, this I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14 If you ask me [5] anything in my name, I will do it.
All the time that Jesus had spent with his Disciples, all the miracles they saw him perform and they still did not understand who He was or who they were through Him. Just as Adam was our disconnect from God – Our Source, Jesus, our Brother, is our reconnect to God –Our Source.
One yet not equal
So you see although we are one and the same with God we are not equal to God. Although we have the ability to do greater things than even Christ did we are not to think of ourselves to highly. We are to walk IN Love (God) we are to bear fruit; love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. We are to clothe ourselves with compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience. But above ALL we are to walk in Love, this is what is truly means to be connected to Source, to BE the Source is to BE Love, then and only then are we truly living LIFE as the created image of God – Our Source.
