he shall not stand, for they shall devise plans against him.
(Could “the king of the South … with a very great army” be the Roman Empire?)

26. Yes, those who eat of the portion of his delicacies shall destroy him, and his army shall be swept away, and many shall fall down slain.
(This could be a prophecy of the betrayal of Jesus. Or could it be a reference to the formation of Christianity and the way that Christians have changed the true word to suit themselves? This could also mean that, if you believe in Jesus, you are destroying him even more. His “army shall be swept away, and many shall fall down slain”: Christians have killed Jesus themselves, and many have followed Jesus’ way, in his beliefs, his lies and deception.)

27. Both these kings’ hearts shall be bent on evil, and they shall speak lies at the same table; but it shall not prosper, for the end will still be at the appointed time.
(Could “both these kings” be referring prophetically to Jesus and Prophet Mohammed? Remember that Prophet Mohammed said that Jesus had sent him.)

28. While returning to his land with great riches, his heart shall be moved against the Holy covenant; so he shall do damage and return to his own land.
(The “riches” are not money; they refer to the beliefs that he is the Son of God because of his miracles: according to the New Testament or Catholic Christianity, Jesus changed the Holy covenant.)

29. At the appointed time he shall return and go toward the south; but it shall not be like the former or the latter.
(If the South is Egypt, then this could refer to Constance the Great, who took, for political reasons, to Egypt what he thought should be in the New Testament.)

30. For ships from Cyprus shall come against him; therefore he shall be grieved, and return in rage against the Holy covenant and do damage. So he shall return and show regard for those who forsake the Holy covenant.
(Jesus raged against the Holy covenant, as you can see from the New Testament: he damaged God’s law, as can be seen from his change from the Ten Commandments to just two commandments. Christians believe he is the only son of God, or they believe he is God. Christians believe that it is through Jesus that they get to God. But why would God himself change his own word? Or if Jesus is the only Son, why would God allow Jesus to change his word? Jesus has led Christians to believe that you must forsake the Holy covenant.)

31. And forces shall be mustered by him, and they shall defile the sanctuary fortress; then they shall take away the daily sacrifices, and place there the abomination of desolation.
(Christians are the forces that are mustered by Jesus. They have taken away the daily sacrifices of the Old Testament Law. The words “the abomination of desolation” mean “the disgust of absolute emptiness or destruction.)

32. Those who do wickedly against the covenant he shall corrupt with flattery; but the people who know their God shall be strong, and carry out great exploits.
(Jesus’ followers changed the covenant and they corrupt their own followers with flattery by suggesting Christians are better people than Jews. But the true believers in the God of Creation “shall be strong” and they will carry on with God the Creator’s Commandments.)

33. And those of the people who understand shall instruct many; yet for many days they shall fall by the sword and flame, by captivity and plundering.
(Christianity captures their prey and tells them how they will be saved and how they must pray. Although Judaism is on the correct path of only believing only in the God of creation, they will also fall by the sword. This continues to happen today with the Jews for Jesus movement.)
34. Now when they fall, they shall be aided with a little help; but many shall join with them by intrigue.
(Christians and Jesus believers have spread the falsehood by intrigue and that is why many will fall. The word “intrigue” suggests that some people help those who fall for ulterior, secret motives. The weak at heart are often targeted.)

35. And some of those of understanding shall fall, to refine them, purify them, and make them white, until the time of the end; because it is still for the appointed time.
(Even “some of those of understanding” will fall in order to “refine” themselves, or to “purify” themselves, and to make themselves “white”, i.e. pure. They fall because they rely on their own understanding, not on God’s. They think of the future (“the time of the end”) instead of the present (“the appointed time”).)

36. Then the king shall do according to his own will: he shall exalt and magnify himself above every god, shall speak blasphemies against the God of gods, and shall prosper till the wrath has been accomplished; for what has been determined shall be done.
(Jesus did “according to his own will”, made himself a god “above every God”, spoke “against the God of gods”, saying he was God. But “what has been determined shall be done”: the future has been determined and will be done.)

37. He shall regard neither the God of his fathers nor desire of women, nor regard any god; for he shall exalt himself above them all.
(The king will not respect “the God of his fathers”, i.e. the God his family worshiped; he will not “regard … the desire of women” either, i.e. he will be a tyrant over religion and women’s needs. According to Christians, Jesus was not married, and, in the Catholic Church, the Pope and priests are not allowed to marry. Is this showing no “regard” for the desire of women?)

38. “But in their place he shall honor a god of fortresses; and a god which his fathers did not know he shall honor with gold and silver, with precious stones and pleasant things.
(Jesus followers have honoured “a god of fortresses” by building churches with gold and silver, precious stones and pleasant things. We need to take this spiritually and not only literally.)

39. Thus he shall act against the strongest fortresses with a foreign god, which he shall acknowledge, and advance its glory; and he shall cause them to rule over many, and divide the land for gain.
(The “strongest fortresses with a foreign god” were in Egypt, from which God the Creator helped Moses to leave. At first I did not understand what the spiritual meaning of the words “divide the land for gain” was, but then I saw that it was a reference to dividing the Old and the New Testament for the gain of Christianity or the Catholic Church.)

40. At the time of the end the king of the south shall attack him; and the king of the north shall come against him like a whirlwind, with chariots, horsemen, and with many ships; and he shall enter the countries, overwhelm them, and pass through.
(South is Egypt: Egypt became a province of the Roman Empire. Could the Romans be “the north”? The Romans crucified Jesus.)

41. He shall also enter the Glorious Land, and many countries shall be overthrown; but these shall escape from his hand: Edom, Moab, and prominent people of Ammon.
(The “Glorious Land” is obviously Jerusalem, and many other lands were “overthrown” by the Romans, but Edom, Moab, and prominent people of Ammon, which is the land of the West Bank and modern Jordan, represent the Islamic world.)

42. He shall stretch out his hand against the countries, and the land of Egypt shall not escape.
(Egypt was a Christian country for some time.)

43. He shall have power over the treasures of gold and silver, and over all the precious things of Egypt; also the Libyans and Ethiopians shall follow his heels.
(These were all countries that practised Christianity for some time.)

44. But news from the east and the north shall trouble him; therefore he shall go out with great fury to destroy and annihilate many.
(The “north” = Syria/Babylon;, the “east” = Egypt, perhaps. and Syria, partly Christian.)

45. And he shall plant the tents of his palace between the seas and the glorious holy mountain; yet he shall come to his end, and no one will help him.
(The word “he” refers to “the king of the north”, which may have been Rome, which became a Christian country, but it may also refer to Jesus, who, when he came “to his end”, had no one to “help him”. This could be a prophecy about Jesus’ end and the ultimate end to Christianity.)

Daniel Chapter 12:
1. At that time Michael shall stand up, the great prince who stands watch over the sons of your people; and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation, even to that time, and at that time your people shall be delivered, everyone who is found written in the book.
(Is this not prophecy about what is happening today?)

2. And many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, some to shame and everlasting contempt.
(The words “everlasting life” should not be seen as going to heaven, but rather as inheriting the earth.)

3. Those who are wise shall shine the brightness of the firmament, and those who turn many to righteousness like the stars forever and ever.
4. But you, Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book even to the time of the end; many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.
(These two verses stress the importance of wisdom, righteousness, and knowledge at “the time of the end”. Are we not doing just this: searching for knowledge and looking for the truth?)

5. Then I, Daniel looked; and there stood two others, one on this river bank and the other one on that river bank.

6. And one said to the man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, “How long shall the fulfilment of these wonders be?”

7. Then I heard the man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand to the heaven, and swore by Him who lives forever, that it shall be for a time, times, and half a time, and when the power of holy people has been completely shattered, all these things shall be finished.
(What can be meant by “a time, times, and half a time” before “the fulfilment of these wonders”? Biblical scholars link this to verse 11 (“one thousand two hundred and ninety days”),and they think it means two-and-a-half years. (See also Daniel 7:25.) I think that “time” = a thousand years, + “times” = 2 thousand years, + half time = five hundred years.)

8. Although I heard, I did not understand. Then I said “My Lord, what shall be the end of these things?”

9. And he said, “Go your way, Daniel, for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end.

10. “Many shall be purified, made white, and refined; but the wicked shall do wickedly; and none of the wicked shall understand, but the wise shall understand.
(Daniel did not understand because “the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end”, but at “the time of the end” many “shall be purified, made white, and refined” and “the wise shall understand”. The words, “purified”, “white”, and “refined” all refer to spiritual cleansing. Is this what is happening now?)

11. “And from the time daily sacrifice is taken away, and the abomination of desolation is set up, there shall be one thousand two hundred and ninety days.
(The words “one thousand two hundred and ninety days” refer to the period “from the time daily sacrifice is taken away, and the abomination is set up” to the time of “the fulfilment of these
