back to the fish, her mood becoming somber. "That woman symbolizes everything I am supposed to be. She's an idol."
She didn't want to divulge her feelings about that, she didn't want to be like her cousin. She didn't want to grow up to be lonely, even of she was exceedingly beautiful and powerful.
"It's an honor to be confused with her," that was sort of a lie. It was an honor, it really was, but Rin's heart hurt at being reminded that one day she might have to end up exactly like the solemn silverette.
She shook her head, replacing her sad expression with a bright smile. She held her hands behind her back and turned back to the girl. So she wanted to be Rin's friend? She has happy to oblige. "So what brings you to the secret garden? I was looking for a good novel when I got distracted by the fish tank. If you were looking for something maybe I could help?"

Aki felt very suprised when Rin courtseied. Rin also seemed to be very happy to become Aki’s friend. It made Aki very happy.
Aki was startled by Rin’s reason. Aki felt like comforting Rin, but wasn’t sure if she should or not. Aki pulled out every bit of encouragement and said,” You know, you don’t have to model yourself off of her. Your very pretty. And you are yourself. That’s always good.” and Aki smiled encouragingly.
And then Aki thought of Rin’s offer to help her find a book.” Now that you mention it, I was acually looking for a book on animals. Canines, more prefurabley, but any animal will do.” And Aki smiled.

There was polite smile on her lips then. Aki didn't understand, it wasn't her choice, she had to be like Rin someday not because she wanted to, but because it was expected of her. Of course this was only her first year, she didn't have to be Etoile tomorrow. She could relax for now, but she dreaded her later years on Astraea. If only it would be okay to just be herself forever.
"A book on dogs?" Rin asked, happy for the subject change, "I think I saw some on different breeds over there, come on I'll show you."
Without even thinking about it she reached for Akis hand and led her to the proper section. "See, large breeds, small breeds, exotic ones. Is this what you needed?"
She was now in the wrong section for a novel, but that was okay. She picked up a nearby book on flowers and was instantly fascinated, ticking it under one arm to check out and take to her dorm later. maybe she's catch a glimpse of her mysterious room mate. There were belonging in the form that clearly were not hers, but were being used. She had yet to actually see the girl. She hoped that going there in the middle of the day she'd finally get to introduce herself. For now though, she was content to help her new friend.

Aki smiled as she watched Riko read. Riko seemed nervous, but Aki did realize that her cousin was Rin Minigawa. Maybe there was a problem between them? Aki grabbed a book on American Eskimos and sat by Riko. Aki opened her book and read. “I may have to leave. I have to set my things up in the dorm, but i’ll read with you for a little bit.” Aki said to Riko. Aki read for a while until she noticed the book Riko was reading. Flora and Fauna were as complicated as Ying and Yang, or the stripes on a Zebra.
Aki looked at her watch and noticed the time. “We may want to be heading to our dorms soon. I have to leave now. Where do I check out this book?”

Time must have flown by as they sat together in the afternoon light, surrounded by books. As if on cue, as soon as Aki mentioned leaving, the clock tower outside struck. The dinner bell. Everyone would have an hour to eat or do whatever else they wanted before it was time to retire to the dorms. Rin thought about freshening up before going to eat, maybe stopping by the dorm, but she figured it was a shorter walk to the school from the library, than from the library to the dorm and back to the school again.
"I think you're right, I'm going to the cafeteria first though."
Then, in response to Aki's question, she answered, "Come with me, I'll show you were to check out."
She walked back, smiling, walking at her new friend's side, hugging her new book to her chest. She passed the fish tank to an ornate desk that came out like a half-wall from around the corner. A young nun who appeared to be in her twenties with bright blue eyes was quietly reading behind spectacles. She glanced up when she saw them.
"We'd like to check out please." Se said, placing her book down. The nun smiled and stamped the books with the due dates and wordless returned to her reading. Rin bowed and wandered toward the exit.
Outside, the wind had picked up, it seemed like it might rain. It was late fall, and the wind was actually rather cold. The green tie of her uniform waved at her chest as her skirt whipped around her legs. The chill crawled up her legs and down her spine. It might rain. She raised a hand to hold her cotton-candy colored hair down.
"I'll see you later," she smiled, "Maybe in class tomorrow, have a good night and enjoy your book!"
With that she took off at a brisk walk toward St. Miator. She'd eat something lite, no way she wanted to walk across campus to the dorms if the storm was going to get worse.

Aki went her separate ways with Riko and started for the dormitory. Aki was eager to meet her room mate! She wondered who her room mate was and what she was like.Maybe someone nice like Riko.
Aki walked out of the library and hoped the weather actually caused it to rain. It made it easier to sleep for Aki. “Although...” Aki thought.” It probrably would’nt be fair for others that actually have trouble sleeping during a storm...” And Aki wallked up towards the dormitory gates. She was going to skip dinner, because Aki had some snacks stored in her room. She entered the gates and headed to her room... Chapter 2

Your My Room Mate?

Strawberry Dorms Miator

Aki Reiko waited in her dorm. She was waiting for her new room mate, and she was exited to see who it would be. Aki had brought some pictures she had drawn and some board games. She also had brought a coffee table and a lamp her mother gave to her. She started to decorate her side of the room, she looked at her roomie’s side. It was a normal and plain bed with a bible and a desk. It made Aki smile.
Aki pulled out her sketch book and began to draw herself in a beautiful dress. When it was finished, she took not of the detailed blue dress she designed, and how it would look good on her. It was of course a picture of her in an Etoile’s corination. But it was lacking something. She then thought of something. She erased a hand which had a fingerless glove and made it so that it was holding someone else’s hand. And she drew the base of another girl to be her partner. It didnt matter which. She than drew a hot pink dress on the base and waited to finish the rest. She didnt know who else to imagine becomeing her partner to be Etoile someday.
Aki gently closed the sketchbook and placed it on her desk. She then decided to take a small nap and dream of becoming an etoile.

Rice balls. Yeah, that was fine, easy, fast, filling. Rin had eaten them quickly and then almost ran as the clouds rolled in. It was nearly six o'clock, the gates were closing soon and it would be time for everyone to close up for the night, though long before curfew.
Rin had wanted to take a bath tonight, but as she made it to Maiden Park, she could feel cold raindrops falling against her face and hands. The cherry branches waved, petals falling. Rin shivered, wishing it wasn't so cold so she could watch them and hugged her library book even tighter. She hurried on, passing through the park was unavoidable, it was the only path to the dorms and it forced the maidens to walk through the park both to and from school. She wished there was a short cut.
Her brown boots tapped against the stone path and she reached the dorms just as a crack of thunder crossed the sky. It was so sudden, she screamed and practically fell into the Dorm common room. She quickly shut the door behind her as dry oak leavs tumbled in after her feet and sighed. A few girls sat in the common room studying, Rin walked past them toward the bell walkways and ascended the stairs toward her dorm. She had a small radio in her desk, she hoped to listen to the weather. Maybe the first winter snow was on it's way. Suddenly there was a flash through the windows. Lightening.
Storms always made it seem so much darker than it really was, like it was later. She was suddenly in the mood for a comfortable evening with her book. The ambiance of the storm might not bother her so much if her mind was elsewhere.
She fumbled for her key and unlocked the dorm, wandering in and shutting the door. It was dark, and she could see the treetops below their window leaning. She clicked on her lamp and put down her book before taking out her radio and turning it on to the broadcast.

"-predicting at least two inches of snow over the weekend. There's an 80 percent chance of rain tonight, followed by a wind chill in the early morning hours. We're looking at a high of..."

The weather forecaster kept talking, Rin hadn't noticed the other girl sleeping in the adjacent bed and walked to the window. Rain streamed down the other side of the glass and she watched as a few other students, a couple Spican girls and a few Miators raced toward the dorms holding their bags and books over their heads. It seemed everyone was caught off guard by the sudden storm. Just then she heard something, the storm already had her on edge so she spun quickly and froze, startled to see the sleeping form of another girl...Wait...
"Aki-chan?" She said quietly, approaching the girl to more clearly see her face. Yes! it was! They were room mates! What a pleasant surprise! She smiled, but not wanting wake her friend returned to her desk and quietly opened her book.

At the sound of someone saying her name, and realizing the sound o thunder, she woke up. Maybe someone found out where her dorm was? She kept quiet and listened. There was no sound after that. Aki yawned silently. It was too quiet, so her room mate probrably was taking a bath or something. Maybe she was studying with
