Nae began to sneeze and could feel a cold coming along. Suddenly there were three men behind her. They began to whisper but Nae ignored them and pretended she didn’t see them. As she walked they began to nudge each other and one of the men decided to walk over to Nae and said to his friend,
“Hey. Look over there. That girl’s body your figure stands out as she’s drenched. We should have some fun. Come on there’s no one around”
She turned around and looked at him and quickly turned back. She carried on walking but a bit faster. The men sped up too. So then she started to run. She held onto her bags but she couldn’t hold onto them. They were too heavy. Suddenly Nae slipped on the wet road and fell into a puddle. Her bags and suitcase dropped to the ground and she squickly turned around. The men had catched up to her.
“where do you think you are running to? Hmm? Well I guess you need to be punished”
His friend laughed, “it wont be a punishment for her. she’l like it” and they both laughed again. Nae tried to get up, but she couldn’t. tear dropped from her eyes. What is happening?
“someone help me!”
Of course there was no one around to help her.
The men giggled again, “no one gonna help you now babe”, he tried to touch her dress when he was forcefully turned around and punched in the face. He fell to the ground. Nae covered her eyes and crouched down. A sound of another punch and a kick came out with a huge groan. Suddenly you could hear the men trying to fight back. Nae opened her eyes, who could it be but the decent man with no manners! Nae was shocked and stared at him as he fought with all his might. At the end both men had enough and pushed the man away and ran. They ran as fast as they could and didn’t come back. There was silence and all you could hear was the heavy breathing of the man that saved her.
“Didn’t I tell you that something would happen to you if you didn’t get off the streets? You girls never listen”
Nae didn’t say a word. She started to cry. The man lifted her up and put up the suitcase from the ground. Nae stood on her feet. He watched her and she stared at the ground. She quietly whispered to him, “thank you”
She suddenly sneezed and felt faint.
“Are you okay?”
“Hmm?” but before she could properly answer she held her hands on her head and fainted. She fell but he caught her just in time. He called the car driver and the car came slowly. It still rained heavily and both of them were drenched top to bottom. He carefully picked her up into his arms and put her into the car. She was still unconscious. The driver picked up the luggage’s and put them both into the boot of the car.
An hour or so later, Nae woke up and everything was bit hazed. It was blurry at first but things came clear after a short while. She was in some room. She didn’t know where she was at all. She looked up to the ceiling and then around the room. Where was she? What happened? Then the door of the room opened slightly. A guy came into the room, he looked friendly. He had a glass of orange juice in his hand.
“Hello. I’m Carl but everyone called me Pinto. You can call me whatever you feel comfortable with”. How are you feeling?”
Nae was still adjusting to the situation. She didn’t know what to do or where she ended up. Shes in some guys house?!
“Err I feel better. Little bit hot though”
Pinto smiled, “yeah that’s because you have a high fever and you have cold from being drenched. It’s a good thing Sami found you”
Nae was confused, “who’s Sami?”
Pinto Stared at her, “you know, Sami? The guy that brought you here”
“No sorry I don’t remember. Where am I?”
“You’re in Adi Mansion”
Nae was still confused, “I still don’t know where I am”
He laughed happily, “that’s okay, I will give you a tour after you feel better. Oh before I forget, please have this juice. It will help you get better”
He handed her the juice and she took it, “Thank you”
“No problem, if you ever need anything or want to talk I’m here for you”
Nae smiled, “okay by the way may I speak with Sami?”
At that moment Sami walked into the room, “How are you feeling?”
Nae was shocked, it was him again! What is he doing here? Oh my god has he brought me to his house?
“I’m feeling much better thank you but what am I doing here and how come you are here?”
“This is my house and I have a proposition for you”
“Err what’s that?”
“Well you can live here with us but on one condition. You have to be our maid and you will get paid as well, but that money will go to finding yourself a house to live in”
Nae had to think about it. She thought and thought. She needed somewhere to live and she needed a job. How will she feed herself? She also needs to fi d her best friend who suddenly went missing. She needed this but could she live with men? She thought harder. So at the end Nae smiled, “okay, I agree”
Sami nodded, “fine then, you start as soon as you recover, get some sleep, I will see you in the morning”
So Nae is now going to live with two men, Sami and Pinto. She has to find her best friend, live as a live in maid and also find herself a house. Can she do it all?
