when I drank blood. I hope she didn’t think I was a freak.
“Yes?” I asked.
She looked into my eyes a while longer before her gaze dropped to the floor. “Sorry, I just needed someone to talk to but, I guess you’re busy.” I heard her heart rate speed up and told me that she was embarrassed. Her cheeks flushed a bright red, confirming it.
I sighed and smiled at her. She looks so beautiful when she blushed.
“I’m not busy. Let’s talk.” I said in an irresistible voice. I knew humans found me rather attractive and any way I talk would have them melting to the floor.
Her eyes trailed over my lips my smile grew. She wanted to kiss me. She looked longingly at my lips and I couldn’t help but be turned on by the way she looked at me. She shook her head and looked up at me.
“Alright,” she said and beamed up at me. She held out her hand to me. “I’m Cinnamon.”
I looked at her hand and smirk. I connected our hands together and electricity shot up my arm. I could feel my already fast beating heart beating even faster. She smiled at me and I can tell she felt the electricity to. I dropped my hand, though I didn’t want to and hers fell to her side.
“I’m Kale; it’s very nice to meet you.” I said in a seductive tone.
Suddenly Cinnamon sat on the floor and stared up at me. A confused expression passed across my face. What was this beautiful girl doing sitting on that dirty floor? She should be sitting on money! She chuckled and smiled up at me.
“I don’t like standing while I have a conversation.” She explained to me.
I nodded and just stared at her. I could stare at her little petite body for ages and not be bored. She was so gorgeous. Her full pink lips fixed in a permanent attractive pout and her long black hair flowing down to her waist. Her big lime green eyes had specks of blacks in them making it look pure and innocent.
Then, her beautiful hand patted the spot next to her. She smiled at me and I raised a brow at her. What was she doing now? A giggle escaped her beautiful lips. I wiped my bangs out of my eyes so that I can get a better look at the beautiful angel.
“Come on. Don’t tell me you’re too rich to sit on the ground.” she said with an exaggerated sigh.
I chuckled and sat next to her. I can feel her body heat bouncing off of her flawless skin and I wanted to rip off her clothes and have sex with her right there. I shook my head, too fast for her to see.
I looked down at her and she bit her lower lip making me tremble inside. Was she trying to seduce me? I knew she didn’t know that that small gesture turned me on but, could she at least stop being so damn sexy?
“So, what do you want to talk about?” I asked her.
She looked up and into my eyes. A smile stretched across her beautiful features, making me smile too.
“Not much. Just some teenage problems, that’s all.” She said looking down again. I watched as her long dark hair blocked me out and I didn’t like that. I wanted her to open up to me. I wanted her to be able to trust me. She was mines and I was hers.
“Well, I’m all ears.” I reassured her.
She tucked her long hair behind her hair and I can see the blush that rose on her face. She looked up at me and I stared back into her beautiful sexy green eyes.
“Nobody likes me.” She whispered the words. She still looked into my eyes and tears clouded her beautiful eyes. All I wanted to do was kill anybody that brought sorrow to her.
How could they hate such a beautiful girl? She looked like an angel with her flawless skin and features. All that I knew was that those people were going to get a piece of my mind and my mind can kill, no pun intended. If I think about a person dying a certain way, that is how they die and I love my gift. It’s easily controlled after eighty years of having it. Vampires that know me are frightened of me and obey me, it’s actually funny. I will love to watch Cinnamon’s bullies die slowly and painfully if they continue to sadden my love.
I lifted her chin with my finger and peered into my eyes. She gasped as tingles passed through both of us. I had the urge to kiss her and hug her and just do nasty things with her then . . . I saw her neck. It was exposed and plush and had blood passing through it. I tried to concentrate on her eyes but, I kept looking at her neck. I could feel my fangs trying to push out but, I tried to push it back in. I felt my eyes burning and I knew they were turning black. I gasped and pulled back. Not now, and not here! I needed blood! I closed my eyes and stood up. I back away from my beauty and sprinted in human speed up the driveway. I felt loneliness hit me but, I kept running. I wasn’t about to hurt her.
Cinnamon
I stared blankly as Kale left me. He just ran off. I guess he actually was disgusted with me like every other person. Tears clouded my vision as loneliness hit my heart hard. It felt like knife was jabbed into my chest and a burning sensation shot through me. I groaned and picked myself up from the floor when I felt loved again.
“Cinnamon wait!” a sexy voice said.
I smiled and wiped away the stupid tears. Maybe I did find a friend in this stranger. I plopped down on the floor and watched as he came into view. His muscles poked out his shirt and he flexed his jaws. A smile spread across his face making me smile. I noticed that his eyes were a brighter red this time. His eyes were so gorgeous, I noted.
Kale sat down next to me and grabbed my hand. Tingles shot up my arm and I smiled wider. “Continue,” his deep husky voice said. I shook my head.
“I don’t want to talk about that any more. It’s too painful.” I admitted. Kale squeezed my hand and electricity shot up my arm and into my heart. It warmed the lonesome areas in my chest and filled it with love. It may sound weird but, I felt so superior now for some reason. I looked at Kale in awe.
“How do you do that?” I asked him. He chuckled and leaned in closer to me. My heart beat picked up in my chest. Was this stranger going to kiss me? But, I knew I was going to let him. There was something about him that I just loved and it wasn’t just his looks. Soon, I felt his soft lips at my ear. I trembled a little from the contact but, manage to keep a steady breath.
“I’m not doing anything,” his husky voice whispered. I shivered and smile a bit but, bit my lip so that I could hide it. I flipped my hair so that it covered my face and he couldn’t see the blush on my cheeks. He groaned and leaned back. I raised a brow at him but, he just looked away then back at my face.
“Do you want to tell me about yourself?” he asked me.
I smiled up at him and nodded. He smiled back at me in return and stared into my eyes.
“Well, I-I’m an orphan?” I said it as a question because I wasn’t sure how he would react. Nobody wanted to be holding hands with an orphan.
“Go ahead, finish.” He said, surprising me. I realized then that this boy was full of surprises. I shook my head and looked down.
“I’m sixteen and my parents died when I was five. Uh, they had a car accident on their way to their anniversary dinner. My mom died first and my dad died the following night,” I said softly. Tears brimmed my light eyes and trailed down my cheeks. It hurt so bad to talk about my parents’ deaths. I still can’t believe they were actually gone. It felt more like a dream (more like nightmare) than reality.
“That’s horrible.” Kale said, appalled.
I looked up at him and he crushed me in a bear hug. I smiled and electricity shot up my spine making me giggle. His hug felt so good! I could feel his abs rubbing against my flat tummy making me moan inside. I bit my lip and leaned back. I watched as a smirk played on Kale’s lips. I couldn’t help but, smile back.
“So, tell me about you.” I said.
Kale went rigid and his grip on my hands tighten a bit. I looked at his face and it got even whiter. I raised a brow at him but, he didn’t acknowledge me. He stared at the sky with a blank expression. Did I say something wrong? I touched his arm, sending tingles up my arm, but he still didn’t look at me. I looked down and bit my lip. Great, another person hates me. And for some reason, him hating me really hurts me to my bones.
He soon dropped my hand and rejection washed over me. Damn, that really hurt. I bit my lip, hard drawing some blood. His head snapped up and his eyes met mines. His eyes trailed down to my lips and I looked away.
“Your lip is bleeding,” he said in an expressionless voice. I sighed and started walking away. What a waste of my time he was. Another person hated me and I caused it this time. If I would’ve shut my big mouth another person wouldn’t have hated me. I dragged my feet against the concrete, half expecting for Kale to come running after me and asking for my hand in marriage. I shook away that thought. We. Just. Met. Today. I told myself. God, I can be such an idiot at times.
Kale
I looked at her retreating body. Bloody tears welled up in my eyes but, I quickly wiped them away in a vampire swift motion. I couldn’t have told her about me . . . yet. It might scare her away and I needed her badly. I couldn’t deal with her being scared of me. I smelt her blood fade away with her body and I sighed. I really think I screwed things up. I stood up and dusted off my skinny jeans and headed up the drive way.
I knew Dale was going to be pissed that I don’t have the raw meat for his pack but, oh well. He can get it himself. I have other troubles to attend to then a pack of hungry wolves. I know Liam and the demons are going to be pissed also and I can’t forget the vampire coven that live with me . . . God, I’m just a disappointment, huh? Damn it I also forgot about the Angels, witches and shape shifters. I needed to visit Emily, our local healer for some type of energy that the Angel ate and the witches wanted some Chinese food. The shape shifters needed raw blood straight from the meat the wolves were
