A mutation, called 'The Shade,' destroyed civilization and daily threatens what is left of the human race. Ten years later Addison discovers what she desperately hopes is a reversal to the mutation. Will this be the cure that returns the world to normal or will it rip apart this makeshift family of survivors.

This was written for the 100 word contest on bookrix hope you enjoy. Three differnt short stories each served with twist.

Consider this book to be more of a sketch pad of thoughts, etchings, and stories from an aspiring author's mind, working to refine his craft. If you can use a vacation from yourself, feel free to dig into my head for a bit.

They drove out of the Midwest in a Pepsi van to find salvation, and became embroiled in pitched battles over the Helen of the Poetry World in the San Francisco Bay Area. After nearly being fired from a teaching job in the Midwest, Philip Janov drives back out to California in a red, white, and blue Pepsi van with an unruly band of young student poets, only to find themselves embroiled in the thick of the Poetry Wars of San Francisco. When he falls in love with Penny, the Helen of the Poetry

He was deadly as the gun he aimed with such precision. As lethal as the hidden blade mechanisms strapped to his wrists. As merciless as the promising glint of suffering-to-come in his eyes. He was to be feared and avoided. So, typically, he had to recognise me as his mate.
