notice.” “Yes. Long time, no see, Shadow.” Kaya replied. “What’s up?” “Not much.” I answered. “Just still steadily trying to cope with the most sleepless of nights due to my fiancé’s murder as I gradually become even one step closer to nabbing the bitch who ripped her from me. Yeah. It’s been one hell of a week.” “Yeah. About that,” Kaya said. “Which way through here did you see her go?” “I roughed her up a little and she struggled past me to the door of the main entrance.” I told her. “If we hurry, we can probably catch her now before she even has a chance to leave the city.” “Ok. Let’s go.” She said affirmatively and we dashed our way quickly through the grand hall. Before we could make it to the doors however, a slew of around six to twelve or so cougars dressed in all purple began flooding into the hall from behind every nook and cranny of the station with their military grade weapons aimed, cocked, and readied. Kaya’s partner, herself, and I all wasted no time rushing behind the nearby columns for cover as soon the borage of bullets immediately began flying and I nearly struggled to get even one clear view of just who these wildcats were before I put two and two together and realized that they were all members of the Purple Swan which must have been the gang Kai belonged to previously before she played me for a straight up fool. I slowly peeked out from behind the corner of the column to line up my shot and put two rounds each into two of the cougar’s noggins and throats, killing them almost instantly. After the swarm of about ten more were dealt with by the help of our company’s police, we made a straight dash toward the double doors and out to our vehicles on the street where I just then spotted Kai opening the door to her black Nissan 350Z and then attempting to speed off down the road off of Pennsylvania Avenue before I rapidly hopped in my Skyline and hurriedly gave chase. Like a bat out of hell, she raced at blinding speeds down the streets of the Ivy City district and I kept my right foot pressed as hard as I could against the gas pedal of my own car as I was determined not to let her escape me by any means. After a few unsuccessful attempts, I finally began to gradually make my way alongside Kai’s car and did the first thing that quickly popped into my racing mind. I turned the steering wheel to the left as hard as I possibly could and rammed the front of my car twice into the rear end of hers until finally I made a direct hit on her tire and watched as she spun out violently in a clear three hundred and sixty degrees and careened into the side of a fountain in a nearby park. I screeched my car to a halt right before her driver’s side door and rushed over to it, yanking her out of the car and unleashing pure anger and rage for her by delivering a series of punch combinations directly to her face until I could see she was becoming weary and could no longer even bear to keep her eyes open. I was just about to deliver the final knockout blow when I heard Kaya’s voice call out from behind, “Shadow!” I stopped and turned just as she and her partner quickly ran over. “That’s enough. We’ll take it from here. Good job, old friend. This is definitely one for the history books today.” “Thanks.” I replied, still breathing heavily from my fit of rage as I took a seat on a nearby bench and desperately tried to compose myself as I watched my lover’s ruthless killer being dragged away in paw cuffs and soon to have her cow boyish life of treachery and turpitude come to an abrupt close.
