This is an excerpt (Chapter 4) from "Loon Moments". The stories are primarily transcripts from the author's live radio broadcasts while host of "The Green Hour", a weekly talk show which aired on Chicago's WIND Radio. The broadcasts deal with issues of family, friends, and the values that made our country a great "Shining Light" for the rest of the world.

This is one of my first poems that I have written its about the struggle to find the one person who completes you and makes you who you are ment to be.
Life is hard when you're a shapeshifter. Especially if you live in a prison. So when a small group of shapeshifters escape from a maximum-security prison, they start the journey of a lifetime as they defeat the evil Dark Force and bring peace to the other shapeshifters. But with danger at every turn, can they even escape from the prison guards?
23-year-old Megan Foster has been cutting herself for five long years. She's even thought about ending her life. Her parents died in a car accident after she graduated high school. She has no siblings and no friends (because of a nasty rumor someone spread in her senior year.) Now she lives with her 67-year-old grandmother, Lilianna, in a small 2-bedroom apartment with no ambition whatsoever to register for college and persue her dream of becoming an actress and performing onstage. Rub a dub dub Three men in a tub And who do you think they be? The butcher, the baker The candlestickmaker And all of them lost at sea. Aboard the spy ship U.S.S. Argosy in the war-tossed waters off the coast of Vietnam, three young American sailors form an unlikely bond. Each has fled an America they were raised to love but somehow no longer understand in the tumult of the late 1960s.
