Day 1

I felt the cool breeze on my face as I opened my eyes. Blinded by the light, everything around me appeared blurry. I lifted my aching arms up to my face and rub at my eyes with clenched fists. Everything started to gradually become clearer with every rub of the eyes. Finally could I see what was scattered around me. Everywhere, pieces of lumber and wooden planks laid on the shore. I looked around and could see I was lying down on the shore of some sort of island. Behind me was a dense jungle, dark and ominous. Out the corner of my eye I spotted a piece of wood sticking out of the sand. I knew I had to be careful. Checking around for more dangers, I advanced towards the splinter in the sand. A shadow cast by the object revealed a rough estimate of the time of day. It was morning. I scanned the shore for anything useful and there I spot a chest that has sunken halfway into the moist sand. Walking towards the chest, I looked at the water and found that it was coral reef, full of both life and dangers. I held onto the chest and slid it out from under the heavy sand. Once ashore, I heaved open the lid and inside I found a machete, nine yards of rope, a waterproof set of matches, a pocket knife, a large, brown leather satchel, a pair of long socks, a shirt, a pair of pants, and a opaque orb of some sort. I looked at my clothes and found that I was wearing a loose cotton shirt, long, dark brown cargo pants, and jungle boots. It seemed like I was prepared to take on the island. The weird thing is that I recall nothing of what I know what happened. I now assume that I crashed on the island on a boat during a storm or something. Whats even weirder is that I don't know why I'm here or even my name. I remember nothing. I started to feel fatigued and decided to rest a few minutes. I didn't wake up until the next day.
