Episode One "Prologue"

Austus (pronounced All-stes)

Rit (pro. riiiit)

Nako (pro. Na-KO)

Uzin (pro. U-Zin)

Austus followed his friends, Rit, Nako and Uzin, towards the threat of vampires. They heard rumors that told of vampires crossing the nearby river. They jumped right into battle and rushed to find them first. “I see them!” Uzin shouted. “They really are crossing the river!” Austus smiled. He was excited to be able to add to his accomplishments as a vampire hunter. It wasn’t only that vampires are seen as monsters, but Austus’s personal resentment towards them that motivates him.

Vampires are humanity’s enemies. They have been ever since the world was created. The world was created by two gods: The God of Light and God of Darkness. Humans had the Light God “Angelina” while the vampires prayed to the Darkness God “Ulysses”. These two gods fought against each other as they had completely different ideologies from each other. This rift between the gods motivated their underlings (the humans and vampires) to fight. Humans launched a series of crusades against the vampires under the idea that “vampires are monsters and only humans can defeat them”. This idea led to bloodshed on the battlefield. Then, in retaliation, vampires launched their own attacks against humans and their kingdoms. This caused the downfall of numerous smaller kingdoms and huge hits on the bigger kingdoms. This cycle of bloodshed continues centuries and centuries after the world was made. The only difference between the present and past is that there are new weapons of mass destruction. The human’s new weapon are the new recruits who joined the army or become an adventurer. The vampire’s new weapons are the hunters and the Vampire King whose power matches that of a demi-god.

Austus saw the vampires crossing the river. He looked at Uzin. Uzin held his sword in the air and shouted: “We are The Knights of Dawn! Stay where you are and allow us to slay you!” The vampires stared at us before continuing to move through the water.

“They’re not stopping,” Nako noted.

“Shut up! I know that.” Uzin said.

“Let’s go before they get away,” Rit said. She took out her dual blades and headed towards the vampires. Nako nodded and she took out her pistol.

In this world, guns are rare items. Almost all the guns in the world are prototypes and they all have their flaws like delayed timing or gun jamming.

Uzin joined the rush as well as Austus with his bow. His bow was created by the sun and its rays, but because it was night his bow was at its lowest potential. They rushed towards the vampires who tried crossing the river late at night. Unfortunately for them, The Knights of Dawn were ready for them.

Episode Two "Mission Completed?"

Austus fired off an arrow towards the vampires. The arrow missed the vampires and landed in the water next to them. “Dang, I missed.” He thought. He took out another arrow from his quiver and aimed it. He fired it and it hit a vampire in its shoulder. The vampire fell down and landed in the water. The other two vampires stared at the third one before continuing to fight their way through the water.

“They left a companion behind?” Uzin shouted. “They truly are monsters!” He exclaimed. He acted dramatically. He exaggerated his voice to make his words come out at a higher pitch.

“Shut up, Uzin!” Nako shouted.

“You’re right,” Uzin said. His expression changed to that of sadness. Rit fired off bullets towards the third vampire, who was struggling to get up and make his way towards his “friends”. The bullets ripped through the third vampire. It fell into the water and submerged. The other two were almost out of the water. Their target is the docks that are stationed across from the town (and the river). Austus took out his third arrow and aimed it for the closer vampire. He let the arrow fly and drop until it met with the vampire’s head. Uzin stood at the edge of the river and flung his sword around for no reason. He couldn’t do any damage to an enemy that wasn’t close to him. The river was at least forty feet across. He was forced to leave the fighting to his comrades as they had mid to long-range weapons. Nako stood at the edge of the river and looked down her sight. She turned it so it would be slightly over the last vampire’s head. She heard the click of the hammer and then the bullet being pushed into place before pressing on the trigger. The bullet flew through the air and landed in the last vampire’s head. All vampires confirmed dead...Or that’s what they thought.

Two vampires hid behind them and watched the events unfold. One of them---who was taller and older---was taking mental notes on the four young adventurers. The other vampire--who was the size of a thirteen-year-old in height and stature---was watching one boy in particular. The archer of the group, Austus. With his short blond hair and tan complexion, it reminded her (yes a female vampire) of somebody she knew. “I found him,” She mumbled. “I found your son.”

Recap:

The Knights of Dawn killed the escaping vampires without a single casualty. They never notice the presence hidden behind them as two vampires are keeping a close eye on the party.

“Aye! Let’s celebrate!” Uzin shouted. He stood up from his seat.  “We defeated vampires.” He slurred his words as he lifted his cup. It was filled to the brim with alcohol.

Nako sighed. “Sit down. You’re making a scene.” She said. She got up and grabbed his shoulders. She pushed his shoulders down.

“I-I-I’m not.” Uzin stuttered. His body swayed from side to side. Rit looked over at Austus. She stared into his eyes. Rit was the only person in the group who wasn’t drunk. Everybody else was drunk with Uzin being the only one hammered. Austus was slowly drifting to sleep. He had four shots before he got to that state. Nako was the same except she was also taking care of Uzin. Uzin had nine shots and was driven to that state of obnoxiousness. Rit focused her attention on Austus who was half focused and half tired.

Rit laid her hand on Austus’ head. “I’m sorry. You need to stay up a little bit longer. At least until you get to your bed.” She told him. She tapped Nako and told her that they’ll have to leave. Nako nodded and grabbed Uzin. She acted as a crutch for him. Uzin being too drunk laid all his weight on Nako almost crushing her. “Can you stand up?” Rit asked Austus. He nodded as if he was paying attention, but his eyes told another story. He was zoned out. Rit went over to the drunk and partying Uzin and supported him. Some of the weight was lifted off from Nako’s body. “Let’s go,” She told the group.

“W-Why are… we leaving?” Uzin asked. He hiccuped while asking his question.

“Because if we don’t then who knows when we will. Also you three look like you are at your limit.” Rit answered. They left the bar and headed towards the inn. Rit would often look behind her to check up on Austus who was following behind them. He was staggering around but was able to maintain pace with everybody else.

After ten minutes of walking, they finally arrived at their inn. She turned around to check on Austus and noticed that he wasn’t behind them. Nako was slowly sobering up. She was at the point where she wasn’t feeling the buzz of the alcohol and wasn’t swaying. “What’s wrong?” she asked Rit.

“Where’s Austus?” She asked.

“Wasn’t he behind us?”

“He was. I’ve been checking to make sure he was following us. But now he’s gone. Can you take Uzin to his room? I’m going to look for Austus and hope I can find him before he runs into trouble.” She told Nako. Nako nodded and dragged Uzin to his room. Rit rushed out of the inn and back into the streets. She shouted Austus’ name in hopes of finding him easily.

Unfortunately, it wasn’t going to be easy to do. Since him disappearing wasn’t him walking off but instead a kidnapping.

Episode Four "Tracking down Austus"

Recap:

After drinking at a bar using the money they got from eliminating vampires, they run into trouble. Austus suddenly disappears and Uzin is too drunk to function. With Rit the only fully sober person she now has to find Austus before it's too late.

Rit rushed outside and shouted Austus’ name. She ran around the streets calling for him. “Austus!” Austus!” She shouted her head off but she couldn’t find him. She then headed to the house of a friend of Austus. A girl named Elaine (pronounced: E-lain) lived nearby. She was a complete shut-in, but not at times when Austus invited her out. They were childhood friends that went their own ways but still maintained a good relationship. Elaine earns money through writing while Austus makes his living through adventuring. Rit rushed to Elaine’s house and knocked on her door furiously.

“Who is it? If it’s the debt collector then nobody is here.” Elaine said from the other side of the door.

Rit sighed. “It’s me,” She said.

“Who’s
