made the tree rise back to normal. Adam was watching with jealousy. “Could you possibly do that for me?” “Sure I could, because I’m a nice person.” I did the same thing for him with the tree next to the one I was on. We started reading and it was silent for hours. For what seemed like five minutes was really six hours and everyone else came back. I sighed and lowered the trees and we walked back to the campsite together. As we came out of the woods, people seemed shocked that I was walking and gave curious looks to the books we were carrying. Thomas was speaking so we hurriedly sat and listened “-and please ignore the books your colleagues are carrying that is next month for you guys but me and Jacob were very proud of how much progress you all are making. I suggest you practice continuously until our next visit to KWSATA, which happens to be in a couple weeks so plenty of time.” He walked off and answered some questions Nicole had while Clara came up to me. Her cheeks were rosy red and she was breathing heavily. “What did you do all day?” She asked once she got her breathe back. “We sat in trees and read you’ll be doing it next month.” I told her looking at Adam he returned my glance and went back to one of his books. “That sounds… interesting. Well it was pretty cool at the training place today, but I don’t want to give anything away. How are you feeling?” “My face hurts but I’m not as dizzy as I was this morning. How are you feeling?” I asked her back when I saw her eyes drift away. “I’m good, but I’m kind of tired.” “I can tell.” She got up and staggered to our cabin and I assume she fell asleep because I heard a big thump as the door closed behind her. Seeing Clara made me think of the training I missed and what Adam missed because of me, so I walked up to Thomas. “So, next week could me and Adam come with everybody?” I asked him. “I understand how much you want to but we can’t let you start, you will already be too far behind and we can’t let everybody else get slowed down so you can catch up, were sorry.” He walked away avoiding my gaze. I can’t believe this I thought to myself as I walked back to my book he’s not letting us progress and because he didn’t feel like waking me up me and Adam get to read while everyone else gets to learn how to fight. You know that’s not why your mad. I heard Adam’s voice in my head. Then what am I really mad at? I thought back to him. You are starting to feel like you can’t handle all of this anymore. For exactly how long have you been in my head without me knowing? He laughed. Well you think really loudly a lot. I wet back to reading about the basics of a sorceress. Coming from the woods it was as loud as a cannon. It split the air and I could feel my heart start pounding out of fear. It was a high pitched shriek, I looked around the campsite and only one person was missing. Clara. Everybody instantly got up and ran to where they heard the scream. From then on it was completely silence, other then seven people trudging through the woods. We kept going after a couple minutes we all stopped unanimously and waited. There was another scream this one much closer and abruptly stopped. I quickly looked for Adam and thought try to find her thoughts, what is she thinking? You have to give me a minute everybody is thinking. He closed his eyes, concentrating hard. Everybody else rushed on and we were the only people left in that area. Suddenly he broke out into a run towards the right a completely different direction, where everyone else was going. I quickly ran behind him and tried to think. How do you know she’s over here? She was thinking about the area, if she remembered it or something and she’s hurt we have to hurry. We kept running, until we stopped at a huge rock wall. The rocks went on for miles in each direction, would take too much time to go around. We had to get to her now, there was blood smeared on the rocks leading to the top. I shrugged my shoulders and started climbing, with Adam close behind. After a couple minutes I realized we were taking too much time, so I started climbing faster. Adam can you hear her anymore, she’s ok right? I thought to him. I can’t tell don’t think about it just climb. I nodded and continued climbing. I closed my eyes and tried to climb faster, all of a sudden I felt the rocks even out and I opened my eyes. I had reached the top and Adam was helping me up. On the top there was an overhang, under it a man was standing over a bloody girl.
3 down

Thinking of a way to creep up behind him I created a water droplet shield around myself to make me invisible. I started walking towards the man with Adam slowly behind me. I summoned some vines to come up Clara's attacker. I snapped my hand shut and the vine snagged the man and attached him to the tree we just left. Thankfully we ducked in time to miss his body get strapped to the tree. I dropped my shield and ran to Clara. She was alive but just barley. I conjured an air bed and floated her up to Adam who caught her and stumbled.
"Do you think you can hold her?" I asked him seriously.
"Not likely" He replied. I resumed the air bed and told the air to follow Adam. Then I turned back to the attacker. He was a large man. He looked kind of like a wolf’s kin just not as built. He was definitely a wreak. He looked as if he had been living in the woods for weeks, unprotected from the elements, and he smelled like it too. I tightened the vines that bound him to the tree so I could walk up to him. He was breathing heavily and keeping his eyes to the ground.
"What are you?" I asked as I examined him.
"I am a power." He said as he looked me dead in the eye.
"A power?"
"Yes, I am the living embodiment of Clara's power. She became reckless with me so when she was weak I overcame her, us powers, when we come out its not pretty, most of the time. But on those special occasions when the child has been taught and surrounded by good magic, their powers are good and vise versa.” He stared at me with a smile, and then I realized what he was smiling at. It was horrid to even think about it. I stared at him with hatred. “You shouldn’t lie.” I told him. “Please I’m not capable of lying you have one in you too. It will come out and you will have to rely on your little boyfriend to save you." He said as he looked me up and down. "Well I got to go. Clara seems to have enough strength to hold me in now." He said before he vanished. I felt drained. I felt so miserable I could die. It probably had to do with the fact that Thomas and Jacob are lying to us and training us for evil, but I wasn't sure. I fell to the rocky floor and started to cry. I pulled myself to a small puddle that formed in a crevice and stared at my reflection, hating what they were making me, making all of us. We had lives, but if I were going to do anything I couldn’t possibly let them know that I know they are evil. It must have been a while because Adam climbed back up the rocks, I hadn’t realized he left with Clara, and cautiously walked towards me and sat down. “What happened?” He asked. “A very long story that I’ll have to think to you, I guess. But for now let’s get back we have reading to do.” I said the last part with forced enthusiasm. He looked at the edge and sighed, I could tell he was tired. I walked to the edge and jumped off landing safely using wind to cushion myself. I beckoned Adam to do the same. He stared down in hesitance then jumped, I cushioned his fall and he landed safely. “How did you know you could do that and the water invisibility shield?” He asked as we started walking back. “My sorceress books actually have some fun stuff in them.” I smiled and kept walking. “So what happened that was so important that you can’t say it out loud?” “I can’t say it out loud remember? And not now we are back to the campsite.” I walked through the last trees and realized with all that happened, I never asked Adam about Clara. So I went to a building that had a sign that said “Infirmary” which I didn’t know we had until now, but it makes sense to have one. As I walked through the doors, I immediately saw Clara’s sprawled out on the white bed. She was asleep and looked ghostly pale but she must have enough strength to control her power again. I exited and ran to find Thomas but to my dismay him and the others were at a training seminar. I decided to go to my cabin and fall asleep until they get back.
That was when I had my first dream at the campsite. I remember falling asleep feeling angry, at the world, at my teacher for letting me go and at Thomas. I was teleported into the dark room, with only me, just a simple form of life, and a fire pit. I turned to face the fire pit and saw a woman standing there. She was tall and thin with long dark hair. She had large butterfly like wings shaped like the top part of a maple leaf. She was looking right at me with eyes that flickered jade in the fire light. She had a feeling of royalty about her. I was temped to bow but I decided against it. She smiled and I felt my mood instantly turn up.
"Dear girl, your fate is so tragic. You will see so much sorrow, feel so much sadness. It is delightful really. I am Drama, fairy of drama and story-telling. I really hate to meddle with a good tragedy, but I have been sent to give you a message from my sisters Life; fairy of long life, nature, and healing, and Assist, fairy of help and assistance." Drama pulled a scroll from the sleeve of her robe. She unrolled it and sighed. "They say, 'When you find yourself truly alone climb into the clouds and ask for
