Rainbows Reflected from the Dull

One, two, beating me black & blue
But what happened to three?
It turned purple like a hazy moon.

Orange rays shine on morning dew.
Four squirrels rustle through fallen leaves.
White-flashing pain awakens you.

But the green bruises are from whom?
From a mean man that only I can see.
Five tears fall for the flying red balloon.

Look at sad brown eyes and see six truths.
I wish it were easier to breathe.
On the seventh day, God was through

Sit & knock back a strong juice.
Eight leaves flow on a clear breeze.
Nine, ten, beating me black and blue,
Living a life that we get to choose.
The sweetest voices even plead.
One, two, beating me black and blue.
