Curse of a River

Whenever I happen to cross the bridge that connects two roads, I silently observe the dark, stinking watery pool that gravely reminds me of the better days of that river.  A stream with crystal clean water that was once used to ply boats carrying goods and people from one place and to another now stands as a symbol of neglect, unhappiness, unhealthiness and also the curse of the nature.  The humans so arrogant and mean don’t care for the holiness of a drop of water that helps lives to move on without interruption.

I believe this black tinted river resemble the unforutnate population in this society, who are exploited, abused and made to move on with their lives with untold agony that cannot be expressed in simple words.

Literally I feel, why this arrogant crowd fails to understand the implications of the curse of the river on their lives, their future and their children.  Will it not one day grow as massive as possible to sweep away the population with a blink or a wink of an eye.

A society may not fluorish and be rich in the real sense, if the women folks in that society were ill-treated, abused and put on shame at every instance of chance.  The society at large may keep their mouths shut and act dumb as if nothing happened in their lives, in their homes and at last in the society.  They fail to remember one thing – once they fail at their homes, they all fail at the society level also.

We are now living in a moment, where nature lurks to strike you all with a force that will demolish everything around you.  Brick and mortar, cameras and signals, satellites and phones, televisons and radios, all gadgets that make humans live a sophisticated life without thinking about others.   Human beings living in this Earth has become so selfish, so rude, so unethical, and so cruel that make them take the invisible step towards the natural diasters that will wipe away the lives on the watery planet.
