Part One-It Begins
"And they all lived happily ever after, the end."
"Oh! Read it again Sarah! Please!?" A small girl with jet black hair sat straight up in her bed, giving a taller girl with the same colored hair the puppy-dog-pout. The elder gave an exasperated sigh before patting the young one's head.
"Not tonight, Angie. It's time for bed." The girl whined a bit, but one look from her older sister and she was curled up under her blankets, clucthing a stuffed Piplup to her chest. Sarah bent down and kissed the girl's forehead, a smile on her face, before turning out the light, leaving the room almost silently.
"Sarah?" The girl turned in the hallway to see her mother standing there, still wearing her halloween costume from the party she had gone to, leaving Sarah to watch her little sister. "Is Angie in bed?" Sarah gave a quick nod before stuffing her hands into her hoodie pockets. "If you want, you can go to the party. Lizzie called and said she'd be here in half an hour." A small, excited scream escaped the girl's lips as she hugged her mother tightly, thanking her repeatedly before scurrying off. She still had a lot of work to do on her costume.
Part Two-The Poison Apple
IN almost no time, Sarah and Lizzie were pulling up to the hottest teen club in town, The Poison Apple. In honor of the event, and club name, the girl had both dressed as Snow White, though Lizzie's was far less conservative than Sarah's. "I still can't believe April let you out like that." A roll of the eyes came from Lizzie as she parked the car, slamming the door as soon as she was out of it. Sarah sighed before doing the exact same thing.
As the doors to the club opened, the girl's were greeted with loud music and multi-colored lights. "I'm going to go get a drinkn." Sarah nodded to her best friend, and watched her stalk off into the crowd. It did not take her long, though, to find a group of her friends by the back tables. This Snow White was sick of being alone.
The nine of them greeted Sarah with smiles and food, but one girl gave her a treat she could not resist. A bottle of vodka was passed under the table to Sarah, and she found herself in a dilema. Alcohol was her worst weakness. It was almost as if the girl had known that, well it worked. Sarah started. Shot after shot she drank, completely ignoring the words from her friends. Lizzie still had not returned, so she continued to drink. Only one thing was able to stop her, for a while anyways. Aerick.
Aerick had been her best friend since first grade, and it was him who had finally convinced her to go to AA. Her drinking habits had almost killed her once, and he did not want to see her like that ever again.
"Sarah, you have to cool it. This is going against everything you've been working for." Sarah listened, but did not really hear him. The girl who had presented the gift urged her on.
"It's only one little slip up, and you might as well have a good time since your best friend ditched you." Sarah found the words reasonable, mostly because she was plastered, and continued drinking, blocking out Aerick's words until everything around her was black.
Part Three-The Evil Witch and Prince Charming
"I told you she'd go for it." A laugh was in her ear, it screeched and made her head hurt, so she refused to open her eyes.
"That's enough from you, young lady. From what you've just said, this was your idea and doing. You have the right to remain silent..." There were protests as the girl struggled. Sarah finally opened her eyes, just in time to see the girl beging led away by two police officers.
"Guys! Shut it! She's awake!" Aerick's voice fully snapped her back to reality. She gave a few more blinks, opening her eyes fully. Aerick was there, standing in front of the hospital bed she was laying on. "You've been out for three days. Alcohol poisoning. As soon as we saw you go down, we brought you here."
Sarah looked around, then, noticing her seven other friends, excluding Lizzie, from the party were there, standing around the bed. She blushed slightly, touched that all of them would stay there just for her.
"You wanna know why I didn't wake up sooner?" She asked as she turned to Aerick. The male give a tilt of his head, confusion lining his face. "I never got a kiss from Prince Charming." A smile crossed Aerick's lips before he bent down, placing his lips against Sarah's. That night, Snow White got her first kiss.
