Mery Christmas!

Amelia walked down the stairs and looked around the living room. She smiled at everyone for it was the day before Christmas! She loved Christmas more than anyone she knew. Everyone was putting gifts under the tree for the big day, Amelia could barely contain herself! She put on her mittens, scarf, hat, and jackit. She ran outside and ran around in the snow, throwing a few snowballs at her teacher. She loved snow but it was very cold. Soon she had to go back inside to get warm.

A girl with black hair walked up to her having a smile on her face. "So what are you doing for Christmas Amelia?"

"I'm going to give everyone gifts and have fun!" Amelia said with happiness

"But why? I mean...no one gives you anything back."

Amelia looked at her for a bit with her smile disappearing but it came back as fast as it went away. "It makes me happy to give something! I don't really care if people give me anything or not! As long as they are happy I don't mind."

The girl with black hair just sighed and walked away.

Amelia didn't care much about getting anything. She only wanted one thing from the world. A friend was all she wanted for Christmas. A friend that would help her and stay with her. She didn't have any friends. No one cared, they just wanted the things that she gave them.

Amelia went to her room to finish wrapping her gifts for the other children. She looked out her window and saw some kids bullying this short kid. She ran out of her room, knocking over the wrapping paper, and ran outside. She grabbed one of the kids and yelled as loud as she could. "Leave them alone! They are just a little kid!"

They looked at her and laughed. "And what are you going to do if we don't leave them alone?"

What would she do? She couldn't fight them, no, but she could buy time by talking and waiting for a grown up.

"I'll tell Sanita that you shouldn't get any gifts!"

They laughed even harder than last time. "Santa isn't real!"

"Yea! And should we care if we don't get anything on Christmas?" said a red haired kid

A big kid yelled, "No!"

She felt so helpless. She needed to escape but how? She can run away but she can't leave the short kid alone. She closed her eyes and got ready to run, they might not make it far but at least she couldn't say she didn't try.

The short kid looked at Amelia for a bit. Suddenly he yelled, "Vixen!"

Amelia looked at the short boy. Did he just yell out one of Santa's Reindeer names? No, he couldn't have. Everyone looked up and saw something in the sky. No, it couldn't be. She thought. Is that a flying deer? The short kid smiled and ran to the Reindeer.

"I knew you would have come! Thanks a lot!"

Amelia looked at the Reindeer with aw. She couldn't believe it. Vixen was real! That also meant that Santa must be too!

The short guy hoped on Vixen and looked at Amelia. "Come on! You don't want to stay here do you?"

The bullies stopped looking at the Reindeer in aw and went to grab Amelia but she was too fast for them. She hoped on Vixen and they flew into the sky!

"This is so cool!" Amelia yelled overjoyed. She looked at the short guy. "So what is your name Mr. Elf?"

The boy looked at her with surprise. "How did you know I was an Elf?"

"Well, you are short for one. Two, we are riding a Reindeer named Vixen. Three, your ears are pointy."

He nodded. "Makes sense. My name is Jax. You're Amelia right?"

"Yep!" She said with cheerfulness.

"Well Amelia, how about we go to Santa's Toy Shop?"

Amelia looked at Jax with wide eyes. "Really!?"

"Really!"

Amelia hugged Jax as hard as she could. She couldn't believe that she was going to see the toy shop!  Jax laughed and flew her all the way to the North Pole. They came to a mound of snow that didn't look any different from the other mounds.

"Um Jax?"

"Yea?"

"Why are we at a snow mound?"

"Well, this is the entrance to the Toy Shop!"

Amelia looked at Jax confused. "How is the Toy Shop under a snow mound?"

Jax smiled. "Just wait and see!"

Jax touched the snow mound and said something in a low voice. Suddenly the snow mound faded away and there was only a door left. Amelia was wide eyed at seeing this. She smiled a wide smile and walked to the door.

Jax looked at her with a sparkle in his eyes. "Ready to see what no one else has?"

"Yes!" Amelia said a bit too fast.

Jax giggled and opened the door. "Ladies first!"

"Ok!" and Amelia went into the unknown.
