Prologue

I heard someone screaming. I quickly got out of bed and ran downstairs. I could hear sirens. I ran out of the house. I looked around and there I saw it. Some kind of creaturs attacking my dad's car. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. Where was my dad? I ran inside the house and yelled for him. No respond. I ran out and over to the car and all of the creaturs.
"Dad! Dad? Dad!" I couldn't see him.

I felt someone grapping me from behind. I tried to fight, but then I heard my dad's voice in my ear: "Easy Soph. It's just me," he wispered and draged me away from the fight, or whatever that was. He let go of me once we were inside the house.

I quickly turned to him: "What the Hell is going on, dad?" I looked at him with panic in my eyes and voice. He took a deep breath. "I'm so sorry, sweety," he said with sadness written all over him. "Go to your room and stay there," He started to walk away from me, but I grabed his arm. "Dad?" He turned to me. "I'm sorry. I love you, baby," and with those words he disappered out the door. That was the last time I saw him.

Capter one

"Sasha, you need to get up or you'll be late for school! Again!" I heard my mom yell from downstairs. I took a deep breath. I didn't want to get up, I was too tierd, but I wanted to see my friends. And after all it was my own fault. Eventhough it had been thursday, I stayed out late and got drunk. As always. But at least I won in pool! I loved to play pool and best of all; I was great at it!

I finaly got off my bed. I went straight to the bathroom and took a quick shower. Afterwards I went to my room and opened my closet. It was a mess! But, hey, whatever right? It was only me who used it. I found a pair of baggy dark blue jeans and a black lowcut top. I put the outfit on and decided that something was missing. My leatherjacket, of course! I put it on and once again I went to the bathroom. I put on a little makeup and quickly combed my long black hair with a little red in the ends. That was it. I took my bagpack and went downstairs.

I saw my mother in a long skirt and a shirt. She was a business manager or something like that. I didn't know. We barly said to words to oneanother.

"See you later mom," and then I was out of the door. I jumped in to my car which was an Aston Martin one-77. It was what people call a sweet ride! I got it from my mother a few weeks ago. I guess she felt sorry. It was a year after my father's death and the day she got stuck with me. My mother and father got devorsed when I was two. I only lived with my dad, but then he died in a carcrash and now I was stuck with my mother.

Don't get me wrong; she had a sweet life. She had alot of money and she went to bars in the weekends, but she had no idear how to be a mother. Then again I had no idear how to act around a mother. My dad didn't even have a girlfriend. It had just been him and me.

Thank God that I didn't have to move. Well, I did have to move but just to another street. My mother moved from New York to San Francisco. My dad and I had lived in a little house and of course that wasn't good enough for my mother. She needed a big house. Great. But I got her convinced that I should go to my old school and not some fancy privat school.

I drove to school and parked at a free spot. It was a bit imbarasing. This was a publik school and most kids here didn't have that many money. Neither did I until I moved in with my mother. People here would stare at me because they thought I was rich. I took my bagpack from the passagerseet and got out of the car. I saw Abby and Tim and walked over to them. Tim was one of my best friends and Abby was his girlfriend. Tim was tall, had short brown hair and brown eyes. Abby, well, she was blond, short and had blue eyes. I hated her to be honest. She was stupid and alway anoyingly happy. She pissed me off! But since she was Tim's girlfriend I had to be nice. Not that I was good at it.

"Hey," I said and Tim smiled to me. He put his arm around me. "So when do I get to borrow your freaking amazing car?" He had to be kidding. "Never!" I removed his arm and turned so we stood face to face. "Everytime you get near a car it breaks!" He wasn't going near my car. At least not in this lifetime.

"And besides I need it for tonight," Tim smiled at me when he understood. "Cool. Are you comming to the bar afterwards?" Me saying no to drinking? Never going to happen! "Sure! And I'll kick your ass at pool!" I grinned and so did he.

The bell rang and I rushed to class. I had english with miss Melina. She was a small woman at the age of fifty. I liked her. She never complained about me talking ind classes or lisening to music. I put my headphones in my ears and found a song by Skillet. I notised when a boy, that I hadn't seen before comming inside. I turned down the music so I could hear what they were saying.
"I'm Ian," was all he said and found a note from the office. Miss Melina said something and pointed down at me. The boy, Ian, walked towards me.

"Hey. I'm Ian," he said as he sat down next to me. I just lifted my one eyebraw and shook my head. Yes, he was new. No one ever spooke to me unless they were my friends or if they wanted their ass kicked.

Ian looked a bit surprised that I didn't answer, but honestly I didn't care. The class was soon over and so was the next three of them and it was lunch time. I found Nathan hidding on some random girl. In fact it was fun seeing him flirting where he didn't have to try so hard. "Nathan, wanna join?" I asked, and his eyes quickly found me. He smiled widely. "Sure thing!" he said and just walked away from the girl. She looked a bit hurt, but she would get over it.

"So, what's my favorite girl up to tonight?" he asked and laid an arm around my shoulders. "If it's me you're talking about, I'm going to the streetrace and afterwards I'm going to the bar," He looked very excited all of the sudden, but I was sure that it was because of the streetrace. "Remember the last time I picked you up and we went to the bar together?" he said laughing. "Well, you never let me forget it," I mumbled. That night was before my dad died and I'd sneeked out. We went to the bar and I got way too much to drink and the next morning I woke up in Nathan's bed.
