Have you ever read a book and wanted to be or date one of those characters in that book. Well I never did. My mother says that it is because of my unique individuality. She used to tell me how I picked to be totally opposite from everyone else. You see my parents have blonde and black wavy hair, brown and green eyes, and white and black skin (no offense). Somehow I got extremely straight red hair, blue eyes, and darkly tanned skin.
I know what you are thinking, “you are adopted, duh!” well actually they taped my birth so I am not adopted. You know the only things I got from my parents are their love for music and books. My sister though looks just like my parents with her wavy dirty blonde hair, hazel eyes, and white skin. She unfortunately is just like that with her vampire books. She knows every detail about vampires. She could tell you all the multiple ways to spot a vampire in ten minutes without looking at anything.
It was the first day of the Forever My Vampire’s
release and my sister had me waiting in line with her to get it. Why she doesn’t just get it later when the price is lower and there are less people, I have no idea. As we were waiting on line I started pacing. “Belina, would you stop pacing. You’re starting to get me nervous and we won’t get to go inside until twelve,” my sister yelled over the crowd. Then, “Boom!”
“Great!” I yelled, “Now it’s thundering outside and I’m already soaked! If I get sick Sophia, you’re going to pay for it!” “Okay, okay, Belina, just don’t leave me alone,” She whispered. Call me a pushover if you want, but what kind of a sister would I be if I left her all alone, in the dark. The rain and thunder had stopped by the time we were heading home. The darkness outside seemed darker than before, which didn’t seem right. I was glad it was only a five-minute walk home.
As we passed light posts and wooden poles I’d tap them, just to feel other objects around. Sophia and I started to sing to cool our nerves. Until, “Ow, shh… sugar cubes!” I shouted. Sophia asked, “What’s wrong sis.” “ I got a cut from that pole over there and now I’m bleeding,” I answered. Sophia pulled out a bandage and gave it to me. We finally reached our street when some creep blocked our path and started to grab Sophia.
“No, no! Let go of me. Help! Help!” she screamed at the top of her lungs. That is when I saw his white teeth coming towards her neck and so I slapped him. He stumbled back, hissed, and barred his teeth at me. Then I commanded, “No, let her go. Now!” To my surprise, he listened. “ Belina, Belina, he’s a vampire! We need to get home now before something bad happens,” she managed to frantically explain. So we ran, ran as fast as we could.
Unfortunately for us something bad already happened. we could smell it from our block hot, sticky, and gross. Blood the unforgettable sent. The closer we got the stronger the sent. The stronger the sent the more we worried. The more we worried the faster we went. The faster we went the closer we got. I took the key from my pocket and tried to open the door... "Briiiing!"
"Ha Ha, that is so funny Vix," I told him. "I totally agree! What better way to wake up sleeping beautys than to scare her into conciousnes," Vix spilled. He didn't seem to notice me and my sister giving him the devil's eye. "What? you know if i didn't do it the real -briiinng!!- see," he said sticking out his tungae after words. We all started laughing which got us the stink eye from our teacher who was pushing us out of the room. "Our savior, how could we ever live with out you!" my ssister shouted so sarcastic and dramatic you would have thought we were in a play.
