Once there was a lord who did not believe in love. He married a lady who only
believes in gold, and at the end of a year they had a daughter. She was Aloha they named
her. But her father always forgot, and his mother never remembered. She grew older and
taller, until at last she was a young woman. She liked to talk to jester and the small
tabby cat, but her father made her pore over ancient books-books about the best way to
win the battles. Her mother made him study spider-webbed spells that promised to show
him how to turn pebbles in to gold.
Aloha was born to the life of royalty and power. Her father is the ruler of the land,
the most powerful man in the world. Her mother was the most beautiful women in the
world. To be born in this kind of family, her life was delicious, she had all she could
possible imagine; wealth, gold, silver, and yet she was not please. Aloha would stay in
her room all day and refused to come out to interact with the world. Every day was
boring and always the same as the day before it.
“Life” as Aloha thought was nothing like what she had expected. For she was all alone
in the kingdom, except for books after books.
“I have read and read until my mind is sore, and now I would liked to come out to
the world” Aloha said to her mother and father one day.
They sighed heavily, yet they would not risk to see their daughter on her own, but
what if she chose to go out and seek her future? Well, that was a different matter.
Aloha glided to Earth, looking at the wonderful creations she had made, the envy
of the graceful body structure of her lovely birds, trees and flowers, but she was more
intoxicated with the livelier, more vibrant birds, insect, and fish. She looks at the trees
and grasses, these creations cannot be considered complete insects, birds and animals of
intelligence. She is far from satisfied.
“It’s missing something” Aloha thought. The Earth felt empty, with only trees and
amimals. She wants to create a living thing that can care for the animals, build houses,
something that can filled up the entire Earth. In other words a living thing that is
naturally smarter and any other animal. In that way the world have to dominate and
manage all life.
When Aloha slided along the Yellow River, she looked down to see the shadow of
her beauty, and she cannot help, but be happy. She made a plan to show her intelligence.
She decided to use the bed of the morphology of mud to make clay figures. Aloha
herself has a very long tail that she would hate to see others have them, for her jealousy;
she gave them matching legs and both hands. Her ingenuity, and pretty soon there
were an abundance of clay figures scattered around the ground. She breathes out small,
median, and large characters, they have enough energy to “live up” and have the ability
to walk upright, and speak language. She called these clever little things, “People”.
Aloha had created men and women!
She wanted people all over the land, but she was tired and so was slow too. Aloha
came up with another plan, a shortcut. She put a rope in to the river of mud in the
rotation, until the lower end of the rope wrapped a child layer of soil. Then she brought a
wave of rope to the ground, where there are mud everywhere. That mud becomes a little
person, Aloha had created people so they can fill up the Earth.
In order to make human unbroken, she established the institution of marriage. Men
and women would complement each other, have children, and continue the life cycle
known today.
Goddess in the land of son and daughter are happy to be alive.
Aloha had created man and women, she had been known as the human ancestor-
“Nvwabuangniang”
In the end she had worked for herself tirelessly to pay people’s happiness, trying, and therefore, her name was later remembered in our culture as Nu Wa, the goodness of all.
