I never really understood the point of being protected by a werewolf. Most girls would find it odd but not me. I am used to it. Daniel, my best friend, is always here for me no matter what, unless Josh, the pack's leader, needs him for something. Josh is normally understanding with what Daniel is doing, especially if he is with me. If Daniel is busy, he will call on the rest of the pack. Most of the time, Josh knows when Daniel is with me. Now, all I want to do is tell Daniel how I really feel about him and hope he feels the same way.
It was about nine thirty when Daniel came through my bedroom window to wake me up.
" Chloe, wake up or I will go get Garrett," Daniel sarcastically said as he stripped the cover from my warm body. Garrett is Daniel's best friend. His idea of waking me up is getting a bucket of water and dumping it on me. Daniel only threatens that when he needs me. I slowly rolled out of bed and Daniel wrapped his arms around me and gently squeezed me." Well good morning to you too babe." I love it when he calls me babe. It makes me feel important.
" Good morning. Why did you threaten me with Garrett? You know I don't like it when you do that. Remember last time you did that and I didn't talk to you for three days? You went nuts and Josh had to finally get me out of my crazy state of mind," I told him as put his chin on my shoulder. Suddenly, Josh appeared in my room and I jumped.
"Aww! You two are adorable," Josh said as he sat on my bed, and Daniel hit him upside the head with a pillow.
"Josh, shut the hell up man. I'll be outside in a minute," Daniel said as Josh left my room and went back outside. " So, what are we doing today? Considering that my sister's big birthday party is tonight, she wanted me to tell you that you better go get the dress you have been wanting at Franco's for the past two months. My question for you is what dress and when can I see it on my best friend?" Then, I got out of his arms and went to my closet to find my UCLA hoodie and a pair of American Eagle jeans to wear for the day.
" Daniel, don't worry about it. It's just this purple dress that has black and silver sequins all over it. She wants me to wear it to her party just because you are wearing a purple dress shirt, with a silver tie. She thinks we should match," I told him as I came out of my closet to find him laying on my newly made bed. I went over to my bedside table to grab my phone, and he pulled me onto my bed and just held me." Daniel, why do you act like my boyfriend more than my best friend?" As soon as I asked him that, his face went from a complete grin to a look of ponder.
" I just do. We've known each other forever and your just someone I can act like that around. Is it a problem?" Daniel asked me as I turn to face him.
"No not at all. I don't mind," I told him as he kissed my forehead and went to my window." Leaving already?"
"Yup. Josh needs me to take care of somethings before we are all out of service for the night. What time will you be at my house?" Daniel asked me as I gave him a hug.
"Uhm, probably around 6. The party starts at 6:30 right?" I asked as he nodded his head yes." Okay, I will see you then!" Then, he jumped out of my window and almost mauled Josh over." Bye Daniel. Bye Josh!"
" Bye beautiful. I will see you later," Daniel said as I shut my window. About five minutes later I looked out my window to see Daniel and Josh standing there talking. I opened my window to hear what they were saying.
" Daniel, man, you gotta tell her. When I came into her room, you two were the picture perfect couple. You gotta tell her. She needs to know," Josh said as Daniel sat in the grass and put his head into his hands.
" Josh, I think tonight at my sister's party I will tell her. I'll take her to the back deck upstairs where no one will find us and tell her. She needs to know. I just don't know if she's going to feel the same way. She means everything to me. She's the one," Daniel said as I shut my window and squealed. He loves me back!!! Yay!!! As soon as my excitement died down, I grabbed my purse and car keys and went downstairs to see my parents sitting on the couch watching television.
"Mom, I'm going to Franco's to get the dress I wanted for Kady's party tonight. Then, I'm going to pick her up and we are going to lunch, and to get our hair, makeup and nails done. I will come home before the party tonight so I can get stuff to stay at her house tonight," I told them as she smiled and got up to give me a hug.
" Okay sweetie. I know you will have fun tonight. I guess we will see you tomorrow, unless you are hanging out with Daniel tomorrow," my mom said as I smiled at her.
" Yeah, I probably will. I will see you tomorrow night when Seth comes in from UCLA. Love you guys!" I said as I walked out the door and got into my Land Rover and drove into the city. As I got there, I received a text from Daniel.
D: I love you beautiful! Thanks for always being there for me.
C: I love you too handsome! && your welcome.

" Hello. welcome to Franco's. Is there anything I can help you with?" the lady behind the counter asked me as I looked at her with a warm smile on my face.
" Yes. There is a specific dress I put on hold about a month ago and I need to pick it up. it is a purple knee length dress that has black and silver sequins all over it," I told her as she went into the back room and came out with the most beautiful dress I have ever seen in my life.
" Is this it?" she asked me as I took ti out of her hands and smiled.
" Yes it is. This is it. What shoes do you think would look best with it?" I asked her as sent went over to the shoes, and picked out a pair of silver stilettos.
" These are perfect. You will look like Salma Hayek in this dress," the lady told me as I paid for the dress and the heels and walked out of the store.
