If you only knew, what I knew. Felt what I felt, when I died. I didn’t know they existed at first but I had my hopes. I was foolish enough to hope about becoming one of them. I hope you don’t wish to dwell among the dead as I do now. I wish I had this knowledge before I was captured. Before I was reborn into a world of darkness. Never to feel the sun on my skin again, What a bloody shame huh?

Vampire Vaccine: Epilogue

By: Rickayla Plaskett
I stare into the darkness of the trees. Staring back at me are these blue eyes. Calm like the sea after a storm. He pierces my soul as he glares back.
“Hello Madeline” he grins as the words seep out of his mouth and into my head.
I freeze when I hear my name come out of his mouth. Shock is now the expression on my face.
“Hello stranger. What brings you to the outskirts of Bellowton?” I say not knowing why I responded.
“Well…I heard of this girl with lavender eyes that loves the darkness of the night and I thought I would just stop by to say hello.” he says in an eerie gesture, still glaring at me with no emotion what-so-ever.
Chapter one

“Is there a name I can call you by? It would help me get a better idea of you.” I asked politely so he wouldn’t hint that I’m aware of fear.
“You can call me…..Grim.” he responds
“Why would you want that name Grim?” I ask completely interested.
“Do I have a choice? It describes all of my characteristics in one word. Very rare don’t you agree?” he asks me like I have a purpose to converse with him.
“I think that if I came closer, you might get the wrong idea of why a girl like me would be so interested in mysterious men like you.” I say as I inch closer to his face.
“Why do girls like you think that if you conceal your fear of moi that I don’t hint your ambition to find out who this really is behind the darkness of the trees…?” His voice trails off as he stares at the moon.
The moonlight shines down on Grim and his eyes now change from blue to violet. He is no longer into the conversation anymore. He grins showing his teeth. He tries to conceal them from my gaze. I now stare at fangs, still fascinated with him. I can tell he is no longer the mysterious stranger I met earlier. He is now the hunter and I, Madeline, am his prey.
Chapter two

“Grim? Can I see your face completely?” I ask aware of the situation.
“How about I show you everything?” He says as he steps out into the moonlight.
His hair black as night. His arm so perfect for holding a lover. His legs are so precisely shaped for running. His face is so…. Perfect! I think I’m going under his spell. I take a dozy step forward and collapse. I fall flat on my face. Tears roll down my cheek as I try to stand up. Gravity is against me. I faint and the only thing I remember is being picked up by Grim and being carried into the darkness of the forest.
I wake up in a cabin. I’m tied to the bed. My clothes are changed! I hear steam from the back room. I struggle to gaze at the entrance of it. Grim walks out only in a towel. I only see his muscular structure. I fantasize of what he would do to me.
   Wait! I’m crushing on Brian!
I stop thinking about the fantasy.
I yell in distress “Grim?! Why are you doing this! This is not you! I know this is not you!”
“Unfortunately this is me maddie! It’s the worst way to live. I live for the excitement. The darkness is my 2nd lover. It has been replaced by a beautiful woman with lavender eyes.” He responds
“Are you talking about me Anthony?!” I ask desperately to get an honest answer from his mouth.
“How did you know my name?” he says completely ignoring my question.
I look at his face. A love I never intended. A love which makes bliss seem so fake. A love I was destined to have with him forever!
“I don’t know! Answer my question!” I demand
“Yes I’m talking about you! I’ve never been in LOVE with a human before. You fascinate me completely. You make me regret becoming a vampire in the first place.” The answer only a true lover could have said.
“If you love me so much, you’ll let me go!” I scream
“I’ll let you go if you kiss me.” He’s so interested in a kiss from me he creeps closer to my face.
“I can’t! I already have a boyfriend!” I explain
He just doesn’t respond. The next thing I know he’s kissing me. I let him. If I could pick a position to be frozen in, it would be this one. It consumes me. It’s so hot! His lips locked on mine.  So tender yet fierce.
IM IN LOVE WITH A VAMPIRE!
“I love you Grim….I mean Anthony!” I say in a muffled tone because we’re still kissing.
“I love you even more Maddie…I mean Madeline!” He screams.
 Chapter 3

He stops kissing me. I push him away, feeling insecure. He has on this confused and bewildered look on his face. I curl up into a ball showing it. I hate that feeling! Every time I try to get close to a boy, it’s so hard to let them in.
“Did I do something wrong?!” he asks worried
“No Anthony. It was my entire fault. I shouldn’t have let you in anyway.” I explain
“What do you mean ‘let me in‘?” He asks angrily
“I mean let you in my life. It was all a big mistake. Everything I said since you took me prisoner!”  I said regretfully.
“OH! You mean you regret kissing me!? Regret fantasizing about me!? Yea I know what you thought! You even regret loving me all together?!” He pleads
“I don’t regret loving or kissing you! I just regret our conversation earlier.” I tell him sternly
“You can leave then! Let me untie you first!” he says angrily
He goes over and unties me. His hands so delicate like my life. He cares about me even though I’m human. He then escorts me to the door, and hands me my clothes.
“What are you doing this for?!” I say surprisingly
“Leaving you to cry yourself to sleep. You can die for all I care! DIE in the forest. You don’t deserve my love. Or an love for that matter!” He yells.
Tears run down my cheeks as those words pierce my heart. I disappear into the forest with a mumble and a sigh. I sneak back into his house at night. I head to the back room, get undressed, and hop into his shower. I turn the steam on to wash away the grief of my life.
“Ah…this feels so relaxing.” I sigh while I’m washing my hair.
The floor boards creek. I become aware. I sing just so it looks like I don’t notice. I turn around and peer through the screen. I see nobody. When I turn around, Anthony’s there. In his shirt and jeans. He just at me. I stare back. He then pushes me against the screen of the shower. He kisses me roughly. Its bitter. Bitter sweet. I take off his shirt only to reveal battle scars. I grip my arms around his neck. He unbutton his pants. I say stop. He grips my waist.
“I missed you…” he says excitedly
“I thought you said I don’t deserve your love…” I say
“You still don’t. My love deserves you.” he replies
His tone so romantic. So pure with every syllable. I stare blankly into his violet eyes. They turn gray. We kiss again. Deeper than the last one. After that night, it made him want me more. Vice versa in my opinion. We step out of the shower both in navy blue towels. Gripping each other tightly as we descend into the living room.
“Its good to be home?” He asks.
“Home is where the heart is. My heart is with you. You live here. So…. Yes. Its good to be home.” I respond as we are cuddled up with each other on his bed. We drift off to sleep in each other’s arms.
Chapter 4

I wake up a few hours later, my head on his bare chest. I place my hands on his cheek and give him a short kiss. I get up very slowly.
“Don’t go”. He tells me faintly as he places a hand on my shoulder.
“We need to eat don’t we?” I say
“Scream if you need me!” He reminds me.
“Will do ghosty.”I say to confirm the deal. I actually yell because the door is slamming behind me.
I step over crumpled leaves on the ground. Singing softly to myself. I see faint movement from the corner of my right eye. I take a dagger out of my purse and turn around swiftly. I throw the dagger. Before the dagger even escaped from my grasp, a black leather glove grabs my wrist. It drops slowly to the floor.
“Anthony!” I cry out in pain.
“Anthony Grim? You know the famous Anthony Grim?” the mysterious voice asks while tightening his grip.
I bite the hand, ripping the leather glove, its hanging from my mouth. I fall back, knowing that Anthony will catch me. I see a trail of leaves blaze up in the air towards me.
“Love you babe!” Anthony says
“Love you more!” I say
He lifts me up and zooms away. I levitate the dagger to hit the mysterious man in the face. He catches it effortlessly. I stare back sternly, making notes of his appearance. He’s kind of shady. I love the way shady figures….never mind. When we get back to the house he throws me on the bed and screams at me. I scream at him. Sending him flying through the door. I grab my jacket off the hook and head out the door. As I walk through the door I glance at him on the floor.
“YOU DON’T HAVE TO SCREAM AT ME!” I mumbled loudly
I start running. As fast as I can non-stop. I’ve only gone a few miles until I take a break. I wind up in a forest. Lost now, I crouch behind a tree and cry my eyes out. I cry out to the sky “Anthony!” No response. I sob till’ there are no more tears for me to cry. A few hours later I pull myself together and head home. Darkness falls over my head. I remember what Anthony told me: “whenever its nighttime, don’t run! There are hunters at night.”
I don’t listen to my conscience. I run anyway. I hear movements. Many movements! I slow down and spin around. I scream, sending any intruders flying. I get up and use the trees as cover. I hide behind them, around them, even in them. I finally make it back to the house when I see Anthony on the porch. He takes his shirt off showing his 6-pack! He sees me. He jumps up in surprise. No emotions on his face. He throws his shirt to the ground, knowing that turns me off! He mumbles something and stares at me with anger in his eyes. I cringe slightly. He’s not focusing on my face anymore. He’s focusing on the pulse
