looekd up, she began to tremble, "Why?" She asked faintly.
The girl placed a hand on Anna's cheek and answered, "Because you let me."

When she awoke it was already the afternoon and food was served. Her mother had pushed the door open only to have it collide with the girl asleep in front of the old thing. It was definalty a rude awakening. Anna widened her eyes as she was shoved forward and immediatly placed her hands in front of herself. Clara covered her mouth and gasped.
"Oh my gosh! Are you alright dear?" She asked with concern. Anna nodded hastly and looked around dazed and very confused by her sudden surroundings. When she saw her mother step in front of her, Anna sighed subtly. Clara bent down to inspect her daughter.
Anna ate her food quietly while Clara rushed back into her shop. Anna enjoyed clothes- used to, but then she realized that she could not speak to her mother properly and even though Clara promised a day where they could spend just a few hours together, Anna was usually by herself; day-dreaming and meditating her thoughts and dreams, all her goals and her future responsibility we mixed in her mind.
She looked at her bowl of poridge and could soon detect pain against her lower side of her torso. Ann wiftly looked down at herself and noticed a damp blotch of dark red. It was a frightful shocking sight for her.
"Anna!" Kale barked, his face near Anna's ear. She jumped and turned quickly. Her heart had shot up once more and she hissed. He noticed her ghostly pale face at once, "Was I that frightening?"
She was speechless at her new found discovery but was quick to hide the blotch with her apron. She had to come up with something to say. "What in the devil's name was that for you dumb bastard!"
He howled with satisfaction at the reaction he got and walked over to the cabinets. "You were day dreaming yet again Anna."
"Kale," She gulped nervously, she thought of the night before and how horribly over throwned she'd be if someone found out, "Everyone day dreams. Stop acting as though I'm the only one." Anna began to tremble slightly as the pain increased.
Kale smirked, "Yes, people day dream, but you do it too much. You don't talk to anyone, you hate going places and you enjoy the most gruesome, darkess, gloomy of things. That is you're the only one." He stated as he walked into the living room. Anna exhaled,"Kale, what's mother doing right now?"
"She's with some customers." He answered as he left the room to go up stairs. It was quiet yet again. Anna scanned the room and the injury and soon recalled her mother flinging the door open. In a flash, Anna dashed upstairs to her room where she spotted the pocket knife on the floor with speck of red shimmering against its silver.
It was hard to believe that she stabbed herself like that. But the thoughts didn't survive another second in her mind as they were replaced with a new question.
"How do I cover it up?" She asked herself as she made her way to her closet. When she changed, she grabbed a chest binder from her mother's clothing room, bound it up against her wound and changed into her old fall grey dress that she adored and her black slippers. Her mother was at her counter talking to customers. The business was steady so far, people stalled from coming and it was most likely that it was the events coming up.
Anna grabbed a blue ribbon and wrapped her hair in it securlyso it'd reamin away from her face. The day was seemingly dragging as though it were molasis running down the bark of an thick oak tree. There was still about five hours or so. When she looked over her room, it was truly embaressing and shameful to say the least. Her stupid idea cause pain to others and maybe it was all appreciated to her deep imagination that she couldn't contain.
Poor Kesiah. She seemed so bland, her face was lacking the agreesive joy she always seemed to have. Anna knew Kesiah since both were ten years and going to a school house, but when Margret was taken out of the school house after supposedly stealing some books, Anna had accompanied her and Clara was so confident that they would do just fine without it. But It was stupid gossip, that's what it was and Anna believed it whole heartedly.
She walked outside into the front of the shop and looked over the trees and the road. It was a sunny day, hints over clouds remained in the sky from the storm before. It didn't seem as though there had just been a storm earlier and she was still a little perplexed by it.
"Anna!" Someone called out. Anna turned to see two blond girls step out from the shop. She widened her eyes to see that it was Lileth and Pulp. They were two old enemies from the school house. They hated Anna and Kesiah and no one knew what the reason was. Looking at them now, Anna merely smirked, "Aw, well I'll be damned if it isn't Lileth and Pulp. I never understood your names but never the less, I'm glad we're able to meet up again girls."
Pulp, the shorter more conceited one, rolled her eyes at this and said, "Hello Anna. We're here against our own will. I mean, your mother uses rags. Who does such things."
Lileth snarled, "It's a pity Kesiah did what she did isn't it."
Anna grippin her knuckles to compose herself and just laughed obnoxiously, "Well, it's more a pity that you were actually brought here agaisnt your will. You know, Kesiah gives her regards to your father's new wife. What is she, you ninth mommy? Hm, guess you girls aren't loved as much as one would assume." Though Anna felt terrible to say, she couldn't feel any better.
Pulp bit her lip sternly while Lileth spoke up, "N-no it's none of your business prissy! They all love us. They all get us things we want, like clothes and dolls and books!"
Anna sighed, "I have somewhere to be. Can't waste my precious time with the likes of two conceited, blinded, peity-hated girls such as your fine selves." With that, she turned and walked her marry way down the road, leaving the two girls to their flabberghasted ways.
Clara finished doing business with the new wife of Mr. Bradford when she lifted her head from the new dazzling white dress Ms Bradford wore proudly and noticed her daughter skipping down the road outside. She turned to Mrs. Bradford and then the bell of the door ranged as the two girls walked in silently.
Clara cleared her throat and looked at them, "Um, you girl's don't know by any chance where Anna's going do you?"
Pulp shrugged, "I really can't say."
The girls sat against a little bench in the room and glared at the new woman.

"Sorry Anna," Marcus spoke, a charcoal haired boy who worked at the bakery, he was three years older than Markus, but that didn't mean he had feelings for her which Anna was so oblivious to, "I haven't seen Kesiah today."
Anna sighed, "Well, she said she was going to meet me, I was just hoping she didn't really mean the time she said."
He smiled, "So how are things at the shop Anna." She was looking out the window of the bakery, staring gloomily at the tree as if hoping to see her dear friend standing there somewhere, "Well, things are going smoothly Marcus. Smoothly indeed." She said in a serious tone. Too serious that Marcus couldn't help but chuckle. She turned perplexed at him and then he replied, "Anna, are you alright."
She straightened up and said, "Well of course I am," She murmured coyly as she turned to the platters of pasteries and bread behind the glass of the shelves. She eyes the mini lady locks and the crumpets, eclairs, custard cream puffs, hazelnut shells and fruit tartlettes. And that was not even half of the thigns shown on display. The smell was a blanket of heavenly deliocious devlish aromas of sweet warm breads and sugar.
With the smell, Anna's belly began to snarl, protesting she assumed. Anna looekd down at her stomach and just stared at it. The snarl was loud enough for Marcus to hear and he began to chuckle in response.
"Maybe you should get something to eat Anna." He suggested.
She shook her head, eyes glued to her stomach, "No, I brought nothing of value except my blade and I intend to leave with nothing of value but the little handy blade."
He smiled, "Come, I'll pay for this one." Anna raised her head with a glimmer of hope in her green flat eyes.
When he brought a thing plate of three crumpets and a pastry, Anna widened her eyes and like a maniac, scarfed the food down. They talked for what seemed like minutes that turned out to be hours. She looked out the window and then asked, "What time is it?"
Marcus answered, "Well, I suppose it's around three o'clock."
She widened her eyes, "Oh wow, I apologize."
"Don't. I enjoy your company Anna. Honestly." He looked at her with a genuine imply. She shrugged, "Oh, okay. Well, I gues Imprint
