gaining some distance. However, Casper didn’t want to give him any distance, swiftly closing it. Oscar reacted by jabbing his sword forward, catching Casper off-guard. The jab made contact with Casper’s gut, forcing him back.

“That’s new,” Casper remarked.

“I learned a new trick or two,” Oscar said, smiling. He pushed forward, jabbing and striking when needed. Casper parried the attacks, but couldn’t gain ground. Oscar had gotten good at distancing himself from his opponent with jabs and long-distance attacks, in this case being slashes. He forced Casper closer and closer to the edge of the circle, tempting the thick black line that acted as the boundary. However, Casper acted quickly and began pushing back against Oscar, his brute strength slicing through Oscar’s more gentle attacks. He pushed Oscar towards the other side, now tempting that line.

“Leave me alone!” They heard a girl shriek near them. Both teens snapped their heads towards the direction of the voice. Their eyes quickly found the person who shrieked, a girl younger than them. She had dark blue hair that went down to her knees, dark skin that glowed under the faint sun, and bright pink eyes. Her eyes memorized the teens, who couldn’t stop looking at her. She was dressed in her school uniform of a red and white striped shirt and matching skirt. She had on a pair of fancy-looking shoes that looked out of place in a park.

“I’m not doing anything.” A middle-aged man remarked, staring at her shoes. He noticed that they were fancy, maybe even expensive. “I can’t talk to people freely?”

The girl looked uncomfortable, taking a step backward. “Sir, please leave me alone before I call the guards.”

The man looked at her strangely as if she had two heads. “What can they do? Most of them are working under me, anyway.”

The girl’s eyes widened. The ugly man in front of her was a noble named Ed Flynn, well known for his lecherous actions and underhanded tactics. He was the enemy of all women.

“What do we do?” Oscar asked, whispering.

“I don’t know,” Casper whispered back. “I think… We should help her. You know… deter him or something.”

Oscar nodded, moving out of the dueling circle and towards Ed. Casper followed behind him, lingering slightly behind him before moving in front of him. When he did, a small smile appeared on his face.

The teens approached Ed, standing in front of the girl. “What is your problem?” Ed asked, blatantly irritated.

“She asked you to leave her alone,” Oscar said. “Leave her alone.”

“Ha!” Ed declared. “Some kids want to stop me from doing what I want? I am Ed Flynn, a noble. You’re a couple of commoner kids.” Ed noticed Casper, a large smile sprawling across his face. “And the child of dead parents.”

Casper balled his fist at the mention of his parents, ready to release his anger. However, Oscar stood in front of him, blocking his attack. He glanced at Casper, shaking his head. He then turned back to look at Ed. “We are knights of Blueway University’s Class Alpha. Is there a problem here now?”

Ed scowled at him. He couldn’t control the knights coming out of Blueway as the principal and most of the staff were too difficult to bribe or too justice-centric.

Casper stood in front of Oscar, facing Ed. “Leave… before… Leave before we make you leave.” He declared, pursing his lips. “Otherwise, I wouldn’t mind dealing with it now.” Ed turned away from them, leaving in a huff of silent curses and anger. He left the teens and the girl behind, disappearing from the park.

Once gone, Oscar turned away to face the girl. “You’re free of him, just be careful when dealing with people like him.” The girl nodded, bowing her head. Oscar tapped Casper's shoulder, turning him around. Casper stared at the girl, dumbfounded by her actions.

“Thank you so much for your help.” She declared while bowing her head.

Oscar glanced at Casper, smiling at his reaction. “No worries, remember to be careful next time.”

The girl raised her head, looking at her saviors. She took in the sight of both teens before speaking. “Can I have your names?”

“Oscar.”

“Casper.”

The girl smiled. “My name is Skyler, nice to meet you both. I’m sorry for getting you involved.”

“Don’t… Don’t worry about it,” Casper muttered, memorized by the younger girl. Oscar smiled, laughing internally at Casper’s lovestruck face.

Skylar nodded, turning to leave. She stopped, glancing over her shoulder at them. “Now I know what I want to be in the future. I want to be a knight!” She declared, running off. Casper and Oscar watched her leave their sight before turning to each other.

“What an interesting girl.” Oscar teased.

“Shut it,” Casper remarked, blushing. He turned away from him. “Let’s go spar.” he headed towards the dueling circle, holding the wooden sword tightly.

Oscar chuckled to himself. You truly are dishonest with your feelings. He ran to catch up with his friend. At the dueling circle, they sparred until night. Neither of them won.

Episode Eleven "Alchemist Heaven"

A few days after Frost defeated the Orc General, the body was disposed of by the guards. A report was filed, but no progress was made concerning their investigation. The existence of the Orce General and any questions concerning how the monster entered the town unseen or anything else were shushed and stored away with the other pieces of evidence.

However, Victoria and the others didn’t care about the Orc General, instead, concerned with reverting Troy to normal. Frost had an idea, connecting them with a store on the outskirts of Blueway known as Alchemist Heaven, a small one-story building that was made out of a strange black material and looked severely different from its neighboring houses. The neighbors slept in wooden houses while Alchemist Heaven was made of a stone-like substance that Victoria and the others couldn’t identify.

Frost ignored the strangeness of the outside, rattling his knuckles on the front door--an obsidian-black door. “Hey Jess, it’s Frost!” He shouted. He took a step backward before the door swung open, nearly hitting him.

A woman strolled outside, dressed in a black corset with a red chemise dress under it. She wore a black cloak that covered most of her back. She had vibrant red hair, cherry lips, and charcoal eyes. She was tanned-skin, a beautiful color of caramel. In her caramel hand was a staff in her hand, pointing the tip at Frost. “What ‘ya want?”

“I need a favor,” Frost said.

Jessica eyed him up and down, scoffing. She turned around, heading inside. “Come in, hurry up before we lose all of the cold air.” She remarked. Frost nodded, waving the others in. They entered the sloppy mess of a room, watching as Jessica traversed through the mess and to a desk where a larger mess was waiting for her. She swept off the more useless pieces of trash off her desk, sitting down on a chair before the desk. “What ‘ya want Frost?”

“You remember the guy I told you about; Troy?” Jessica nodded, glancing at Victoria and Troy. She noticed Troy’s elegant cat fur, jumping out of her chair. She dashed towards Troy, swiping him from Victoria’s palm, cuddling with him instantly.

“Where did you get this cute thing from? Is it a boy or a girl? How old is it? Is it yours?” She spat off questions at a rapid-fire speed, all of them aimed at Victoria, who she assumed was the owner.

“He isn’t a cat. He’s a boy.” Frost remarked. Jessica looked at him strangely before looking down at Troy.

“You’re saying this kitten that’s currently in my hands is a boy? What kind of crazy forgotten magic stuff is this?” She handed Troy back to Victoria before returning to her desk. “What ‘ya want from me, Frost? Heal him, revert whatever curse he got, or kill him?”

Frost shook his head to the last option. “He’s been cursed by Merlin Hell. We need you to get rid of the curse.”

Jessica shook her head. “I ain’t got the magic to dispel curses, but I can get you a temporary antidote. Its effects won’t last long, but I’m guessing it’ll be enough.”

Frost nodded. “It’ll work for now.”

Jessica nodded, turning to her left. Now in front of her was a closed door. “Zac, get in here!” She shouted at the door. A few seconds passed before it opened, revealing a teen. The teen wore a black hoodie that masked him from the waist up. He had on a pair of loose black joggers and dirty black sneakers. His clothes were dirty and full of wrinkles.

The tanned-skinned teen had his hands and his face exposed - those parts being the only thing not masked by his clothes. His tanned face had violet eyes, beige lips, and several thin scars under both eyes.

Jessica waved him closer. Once he was at arm's length, she grabbed the hood of the hoodie and pulled it down, exposing his hair. He had thick black hair that was gelled into devil horns. Zac appeared embarrassed with people staring at his haircut.

“This is my nephew Zac,” Jessica said, glancing at everybody in the room. She then turned her attention back to Zac, giving out his order. “Go and prep the scanner and then, after that, my equipment.” Zac nodded softly before disappearing through the door.

Jessica turned her body to face Frost and the others. She glanced at Victoria before redirecting her gaze to Frost. “Take the boy to the scanner and I’ll work on that antidote or whatever. Cool?”

Frost nodded. “That’s fine, as long as the antidote works - take as much time as you need.”

Jessica nodded. “I’ll keep you to your word.” She stood up, motioning for everybody to follow her. She took them down a long hallway before going through the last door on her left. There, Zac waited for them. He stood by a large vertical capsule. The outlines of the capsule were brimming with light, indicating that the machine was on.

“Scanner’s on. Equipment’s on the table.” He pointed at the desk positioned against the wall, some feet from the scanner.” He looked bored, clearly not enthusiastic with his duties.

“Good, now go and run the front desk,” Jessica ordered, watching as the skinny Zac walked past them and headed towards the front. Once he was out of earshot, she mentioned something to everybody. “That boy left an important ball in Great Wolfstein and tried to escape with his girlfriend, Paige. They tried to leave and make their own lives somewhere else. However, they didn’t account that I would be monitoring them. I grabbed him and brought him back. Paige is attending a noble school while Zac is stuck here; it’s a punishment of sorts.”

Frost and the others nodded. “You got in the way of young love?” Frost teased Jessica.

She frowned at him before shaking her head. “You make it sound like it’s my first time doing this.” She turned away to face the scanner. “Okay, now to business, this scanner lets me see the condition of a patient. Leave the boy in the scanner for some time and I’ll be able to see how his body works. I’ll create the antidote once I get his full scan. ‘Ya got questions?”

Victoria nodded. “It won’t harm him, right?”

Jessica shook her head. “It won’t even pinch him. Now, hurry
