Propheci
By Gabriella Counou
Dedicated to my Mom And Dad who supported me through everything and my annoying but fun smart little sister~ Love y'all!
Oh and my other fun to play with younger brothers, you'll never be to old to hang with your older sister!
Andrew
“I, Celina Jetton take full responsibility for this incident, it was my fault Jonathon Ignacio was found. I didn’t know he was a rebel. I had no idea he was. When only just now I was told that Jonathon was… I had no idea you can’t. You just can’t kill Andrew Tavington for just being there. I deserve this punishment not hi-,” I was blubbering like an idiot. I couldn’t let Andrew die he was my closest friend then a huge gust of air blew down the council door in. I turned to see what knocked down the door. Andrew was in the corner ready to be beheaded and being offered his last meal. My poor poor Andrew, it was my fault and I wasn’t about to let the freakin’ council kill him.
And right there before my eyes was Jonathon who was smirking that dumb old smirk. I wanted to kill him. Stupid. I was going to kill him. If it wasnt for Jonathon, I wouldn't have been here, the council wouldnt have to here my mouth and Andrew wouldnt be beheaded. My fists clenched in pure hatred. Jonathon’s eyes went wide and he backed up. The smile was gone and so was the smug look on his face.
My hands shook as something prickly shot through my arms and to my hands. What the heck? Something red and hot came out of my hands was that fire. I watched as Jonathon fell to the ground. Oh my! What have I done? The building was burning down fast. The whole council left. I rushed to the corner of the room to see Andrew was unconscious. I nearly cried I couldn’t drag him out of the building without one of us dying most likely him. Someone grabbed my shoulder, it was Andrew.
“Leave me Celina , leave me! I need you to leave me,” He coughed out.
“I can’t, I can’t,” I whispered.
“You can, I’ll see you soon Celina,” Andrew kissed me on my lips and my lips felt like they were on fire tingling like no one’s business. I felt like I had just transported. I opened my eyes and found myself outside of the burning building. I nearly ran back into the building but strong arms held me back. I looked behind me and saw Jonathon and a few other people probably all rebels.
“Let me go, Andrew is in there! You have to let me go Andrew he’s going to die, I can’t let him,” I yelled at Jonathon. Jonathon grimaced at Andrew’s name. His people looked at him shocked that I spoke to Jonathon in such a rude manner. "Its all your fault!"
“Look at yourself, just look! You are acting like a fool over a Deity, you can never be together. You stupid witch,”
I looked at Jonathon like he was crazy. Had that idiot just called me a witch? The building shook just as the ground did. I was angry. I screamed. I collapsed in the middle of the forest.
The StoneJonathon was saying something but it fell on deaf ears. I couldn’t hear a thing only feel the magnet pull drawing me into the woods deeper and deeper.
Jonathon that fool tried to stop me. He grabbed my wrist. You stupid ignorant bas- . My wrist buzzed with flames and Jonathon jumped as his hand ignited for a second and then went back to normal. Something was still pulling at me. I ran with all my heart towards the magnetic pull that had my heart racing.
The only problem was I didn't have any idea where I was going. All I knew was that my curiosity was going to kill me an second if I didn't find the source.
I paused looking around frantically searching for an eartly reason I was drawn into the woods. There was an underbrush and I saw a little silver stone with a very intricate carving it was beautiful. I traced my hand over it. The little stone glowed. And it read in English:
As I woke up my head pounded and I felt lighter. A shimmery object caught my attention it was inches away from my hand. I grabbed it. It was a deity stone.
Dear love,
We are meant to be. All you have to do is find me. The prophecy is the key my dear Celina.
With all my heart,
Andrew
I smiled Jonathon was wrong I knew Andrew wasn’t heartless or cruel or would let me be alone on this lonesome planet he was probably with his father Zeus or his mom. I loved Andrew and even though everyone thought we couldn’t be, we could be it was all part of the prophecy. Even though I was elemental and he was Deity didn’t mean we couldn’t be. Our families had a close bond. And I repeat had. Elementals live forever and guess what Deity’s did too. Perfect match right?
My parents approved of Jonathon but hated Andrew because he was a deity. How typical of them... how could my parents be so spiteful? They could only see the bad in Andrew because of his status. I had no clue why. Andrew's parents were so accepting, forgiving and merciful. But duh! They had to because they were deity's. They were beautiful and admirable in so many ways. Zeus and Hera beautiful couple Andrew's real name was Hepahaestus but he changed it when he came to Earth. I never understood why my parents never had any pictures of me when I was a baby only pictures of when I was 3 and I could walk then but I looked alot older then 3. I had a feeling that something was off about my parents.
AdoptedI ran out from under the underbrush and past Jonathon who was passed out on the forest floor as were all the other people. I settled as I found myself out from under the trees. I flicked my wrist 3 times like my grandmother had taught me to do when I developed my powers to transport home. It didn't work. What kinda Elemental couldn't transport from place to place? So I just ran and ran. I smelled the sea the warm comforting place that I call my second home. I jumped in happily. The sea was my calming place. I used to believe I was a mermaid because I could breath underwater, and sing to the fish and they would hum back. My parents just thought I was crazy when I told them.
I called to my mom in my head...
My mom appeared on the council island within minutes. She walked to the edge of the island. Mom hated water. I wondered how we were related. But mom always told me that was a crazy thought. Today I needed answers. My dad hated water and fire and anything hot and cold and I still wondered how we were related.
My mom could sense mood through the air and pick out thoughts from the air currents. Dad could poison people with just a thought. I got up out of the water and dried with the sun.
"Honey, If you want answers just ask," Mom offered uneasily.
"I was afraid you would say that," I said quietly fidgeting a little.
"Well... Ask away," She said.
I knew mom would change her mind if I didn't ask now.
"Mom, what's wrong with me?" I ask. "I just get angry and the ground shifts."
"Nothing hon-," She started. She shifted a little on her feet.
"Stop lying," I snapped.
"You don't want to know-," She started again.
"Yes I do," I shouted angrily. Something like water washed over me calming my icy anger.
"You'll hate us," She said.
"I don't care," I said softly.
"Well, Celina dear, Kores and I aren't your real parents we were never unfortunately unable to concieve and I found you next to the sea giggling and beautiful. In a seashell covered bassinet filled with sea foam. You were a beautiful baby but nobody claimed you and never knew the name that was etched on the side of your bassinet that had faded partially and fell off. Ven Celina Lestran parts were hunked off but we chose to name you the only name that hadn't faded or been scratched or damaged. So we raised you as an Elemental and hoped you would never notice," She said finally.
I burst out laughing.
"No seriously, mom what's really wrong with me?"
Her silence was burning a collosal hole in my heart. I'm not an Elemental. What am I? I burst into tears the salty tears ran into the ocean as the tear dripped in the water the whole ocean turned into a pretty green. She transported out but left the echo of her hurtful words.
I jumped into the ocean and just let myself sink lower then ever. It's cold down there, I thought as I sank lower. I felt sick. I saw a shiny object on a rock ledge a little farther down. I picked the shiny thing up and swam to the surface. As I got out of the ocean and onto land the ocean turned back into a weird blue color like the ocean was lonely or upset because I left. Awkward.
The shiny thing glinted in the light. I held it to the sun. It was a greenish gem outlined with silver chrystals that glistened. I smiled. I was happy now. The
