Try
By: Victoria Blackwood.
Everyday it feels like I try.
Every evening, I find that I cry.
I wish it weren’t real.
Every morning, I get up.
I tell myself "All I need is some luck."
What I’ve found.
What I’ve learned.
Is that you need to be proud of your own work.
Then you won’t have to try.
You won’t have to cry.
You won’t feel behind.
I don’t even feel regret.
For telling my self “it’s not over yet”
I’ve become stronger.
I’ve become better.
I feel happier now
And I still will, forever and ever.
Wonderland Relationship
By: Victoria Blackwood
I’m not sure if this is right,
I want to see you in the light.
No longer in darkness,
No longer filled with sadness.
I’ve done some things
I’ve said some words.
You can’t imagine how much it hurts.
I know you said you wanted me to stay.
Now, you make me want to run away.
Everything you are, I can’t understand.
It’s like being in a wonderland.
Nothing here makes sense at all!
I feel like I’m about to fall.
Again, again down the rabbit hole.
Only nowhere to land,
No where at all.
Chance
By: Victoria Blackwood
I’ve taken my chance, I’ve played my cards. I can’t
wait around forever. The lights outside are growing
dimmer. So what will it be, you or me? Will you
rescue me or run away.
This game we play, it’s not much fun. It feels like
someone’s already won. Who it is I do not know. Their
heart is deep down below.
Far more lost than we can imagine. So who’s really
won? Is it just our imaginations? Are we going crazy,
or are we already there?
I’ve taken my Chance. Now you have to take yours.
