“Sir, here goes 2 ml of armored anti flu.” The nurse exclaimed, “I suggest you to include your family” she added. This statement reminded victor of his family- wife Margaret his sole guardian of love. He was about to ring the phone to join her when the phone rang. He picked up the phone and in fraction of seconds he was seething down the desolated streets maddened to reach his wife who lay down dead of swine flu. He was again orphaned in love. He wailed, “Why….? Why couldn’t this happen five minutes before...? Why can't I accompany you ……!!.”
chapter 2
It was 24th December- the day Princey was orphaned. But for some moments he was lost in the chaos going around for the Christmas. His eyes peeping through the faint glass were seeking the same rapture as his old friends. Next day, Santa made his dream fulfilled in form of adopters. His exultation had no bounds. His deserted life had blossomed within a night. That Christmas was a delight and he celebrated it in immeasurable happiness with his new gracious parents. But the next day his happiness was vanquished. His new parents met an accident and he was again orphaned.

Venus was sitting sluggishly with a slump on stairs. It was her tenth birthday. She now knew her father – an army officer on war duty is never going to return. His promise of a pair of tennis racquets at return was bright till last birthday and this time expectations were covered in the cry of remembrance. Her soft sobbing was about to stop when she heard a familiar voice. She ran following it, and was stunned to see her father holding a pair of racquets. She stood still and this time the cry was accompanied by a smile of relief.
