Hiding Knowledge

Hiding Knowledge

In a very small village, a clever man lives. People in the village always praise him for his knowledge.

Knowledge is divine. It is god’s gift. The clever man wants to keep the knowledge away from other people. He wants to be called as the only ‘man of knowledge’.

He bought a pot from the market and put his knowledge in it. He covered moth of the pot with a thick cloth tied around it. He put the pot in a corner of the house. He wants to hide it under ground in a secret place.

The clever man has a son of sixteen. He doubted something fishy with his father. He is secretly observing his father.

In the midnight, the clever man went in to the room where he kept the pot of knowledge. He saw the pot is bright and shining with light. The clever man thought that the there is something wrong with the pot.

He went to market on the other day and bought a good metal pot. In the night, he closed the doors of the room and he transferred all the knowledge from the earthen pot in to the new metal pot. He tightly closed the mouth of it with a more thick and rough cloth. Then he came out to see if anybody is seeing him. When there is no one, he slowly walked out with that metal pot of knowledge.

His son is pretending like sleeping. When father went out, he slowly rose from mat and he soon followed his father.

The clever man stopped at a place and he dug a deep hole enough to put that pot. When he put it in the hole, the pot started shining. He doubted that there is a light in the pot.

His son came to the spot and looked at his father.

“What are you doing father?” The clever man’s son asked his father.

“I have put my entire knowledge in this pot. Now the pot is bright and shining like a light. I doubt I have left the lighted lamp inside it. I want to check.” Father said.

Son wants to say something, but meanwhile the clever man opened the cover of the pot.

“Father, Knowledge is light. It will shine. You did right thing now.” Son said with a smile.

By that time all the knowledge is out and spread in the world.

So not only a single man is clever,
